The Chef trained in his homeland of Italy in early 2000's where he honed his skills under some of the great chefs of the area. He also spent time training in Spain, Portugal, and Greece where he rounded out his knowledge of the Mediterranean Cuisine.
Anthony was recently auditioned and considered for a role on a Food Network Program currently in pre-production
Very lively crowd. Soft shell crabs francese with angel hair pasta was outstanding.
Great food great service. Pear goat cheese salad with beets sounded odd but was delish! I would for sure go back.
an "old school" place that makes you feel like family. Also may be not as expensive because it is a BYOB.
A Mother's Day celebration at Strega was the best gift ever. With a group of 7 plus a toddler, the dinner went smoothly from start to finish. Each and every dish that came out of the kitchen was a table pleaser. There were no complaints from even the pickiest of eaters, so that says a lot. From the gorgonzola and pear purse pasta to the stuffed pork chop, each dish like the short ribs, lemon chicken and cioppino came out hot and cooked to perfection. This was the first Mother's day dinner out that was aces start to finish. Thank you, Pete and staff for making my day a perfect 10.
Food is very good, service is very good. The atmosphere is a bit sterile and the long narrow room gets very noisy making conversation a strain.
great old school place that makes you feel right at home. Because it is BYOB it will definitely
cost less. Tables are a bit close together, we were next to a large group that was pretty loud. Overall
I would recommend this restaurant.
Food delicious! Our waiter was great (don't know his name). Noise level loud with a big party near us.
Another enjoyable evening of dining. The perfect cap to the weekend.
It was a very pleasant evening. The food was great.
We brought 2 couples with us, who were newbies to Strega. From start to finish every appetizer and entree drew oohs and aahs. With bottles of Dominus, Caymus and Faust on the table, the food stood up to the hype. One friend, who never finishes his dinner, cleaned the plate and commented it was the best stuffed pork chop ever. The staff was friendly and accommodating, while bussing the massive amounts of glassware and dishes. When the eat-athon came to an end and everyone was parting, one comment was made by all. "We definitely have to return. " Strega, you have earned some new customers. keep up the good work!
Food was great. Service was ok. We have been here before and love this place but something was off. Waiter seemed to be non existent. The other staff was great. No issues with bread, water, etc.
Always a great dinner at Strega. Food is exceptional, and service great. We have never had a bad meal there.
Always love our dinners at Strega. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. Particularly enjoyed the Strega Calamari, Seafood Risotto, Veal Milanese and Shirt Ribs. The chef is accommodating to your wishes.
We liked the variety on the menu we found the food well prepared. The noise level was too high for us. We visited on a Friday night starting at 6:30 when the restaurant was empty. As the evening wore on the tables filled and the noise as well. Next time we’ll come earlier.
Our table was way too close to the one beside us and we found ourselves listening to their conversation because they were about 12 inches away and loud talkers. This is one of the biggest problems we have found with this restaurant. Food was good as always, reasonably priced.
We arrived at 6 & got a great table for two. They did not rush us.
My tuna entree with couscous was perfectly done. I requested it rare and that's how it was prepared.
The cappuccino was like having dessert with a sugar swirl stick.
I love this place.
Always love eating at Strega. Don’t let brutal strip mall front scare you away. Inside is cozy, warm and consistent. Nice straightforward menu with surprising choices of specials given the number of seats. Have made it halfway through the menu so far and we have not been disappointed yet - although it hard to not order their calamari appetizer and the tortellini Michelle. Great service. Even the bread is a treat.
I like the place but it was so noisy, I doubt I will return.
I took a chance having never eaten here but it was nearby and the ratings were very good.
Well, I have to say that the food was amazing! I was happy to know it's a BYO because that by itself is a plus.
My husband had the braised shortribs over risotto. The meat was like butter and it tasted exactly how the mind imagines. Perfectly seasoned. My son ordered pork saltimboca which also was delicious. I found myself lapping the sauce off his plate and chopping at the bone. It was so succulent.
I had the veal sorrentina, which was perfectly cooked. The veal was not rubbery or chewy at all, and of course, seasoned to perfection.
For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse cake which you cannot go wrong with.
Overall, I will keep this restaurant on my short list. I'll be back.
We had a reservation that was confirmed for our birthday dinner - needless to say when we got there they were packed and did not have our reservation or gave our table away.
This was a gift from our children and grandchildren.
We will never even try to go back
The noise level was terrible....I could not hear my wife sitting directly across from me. It was my 41st anniversary diner and could not have been worse. I would not go back on a Friday or Saturday. They were not prepared for the crowd...I had to ask for a cork screw to open our wine and a menu.
I would not recommend the restaurant.
When I am ready for great meal and a wonderful bottle of wine, I make my way to Strega Bistro. I feel it is like dining with family. Pete always welcomes us and we look forward to his presentation of the day's specials. After checking out the menu, we chose the salad special which was excellent, and had a half order of the linguini and clams special for our second appy. Garlicky and al dente, this choice was a winner. My eyes were bigger than my stomach when I ordered the pounded veal chop Parmesan with a side of veggies. Not to worry, the balance went home with me and I enjoyed for for lunch the next day. Our other entree was the New York strip steak, which my husband loved. No matter what you opt for, every appetizer and entree is seasoned well and plated beautifully. The service at Strega is friendly and accommodating. So make a reservation and bring your favorite vino. You will not be disappointed.
Another excellent evening! Great food, good friend, good wine, and the time to enjoy them all.
Looking forward to going back.
Strega never disappoints - the food is outstanding!
Excellent food and sevice
Wonderful food and service. The menu has something for everyone and daily specials that are sure to please. Always a great evening with no surprises, Just bring your favorite bottle of wine, a good appetite and let Strega Bistro take care of the rest.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Pete always takes care of us, the staff is attentive, but unobtrusive, and the food is excellent.
Great vibe, the service was very good. We were running a few minutes late and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious, the grilled octopus was my favorite appetizer.
Delicious food as usual!
Wonderful service from our waiter!
Food and service great, as usual. Pete and the staff do an excellent job. The noise level, however, is very hard to deal with and quite unpleasant. I wish there was something that could be done about that as it does ruin what could be a wonderful dining experience.
Been to Strega probably a few dozen times and they’re consistently good great atmosphere great service great value diamond in the rough
Fabulous bring your own local restaurant! Everything on the menu is great! Thanks
Always perfect! We love that place
Excellent food and atmosphere! We really enjoyed everything! Would recommend this to friends and family.
We brought 2 couples with us to experience Strega Bistro. The food and service were fantastic and our friends truly enjoyed the evening. And they were so happy to be introduced to a great Italian restaurant, which happens to be a BYO. From the bread to the entrees, everything came out perfect. I never worry about bringing guests to Strega, they always exceed my expectations. Thank you Pete and staff for a wonderful dining experience.
THE menu is old and tired.
It has been a few months since we visited.
The menu has not changed.
They need to freshen things up.
We've been coming here for years. The food is always delicious and the service is great. I highly recommend it. BYOB and enjoy!
Great food , value & service... that’s why I’m a regular here!
Been here several times. The service is always great. The food is delicious especially the Chicken Shirley and the Chicken Giambotta ! Highly recommend this restaurant.
