   Very poor experience. Went here for anniversary based on prior reviews. Ordered the calamari and a warm goat cheese salad as appetizers. Calamari was good but the fried goat cheese in the salad were little hockey pucks. I had the cioppino which was ok, nothing special. Wife had the salmon which she asked for medium. It came out very well done and we sent it back. Although there were only two other two top tables occupied, it took a long time for her to get her plate back and by that time my meal had gotten cold. After it came out the chef came out to see if it was ok and implied that the first plate she got was cooked the way she had asked for and she should ask for medium rare instead. The replacement piece was cooked fine but everything tasted over salted. Service was poor as they cleaned the table after the appetizers and we had to ask a couple of times for new cutlery. Would not go back. Ice cream for dessert at Zitas was great.

   As always the food was excellent. The service and ambiance was also right on. We have eaten at Strega many times, it never disappoints.

   The food and service were superb! Restaurant is a bit too small, and tables are too close together, so it gets a little noisy when it is full. But overall, very good food at a decent price. Definitely coming back.

   We've been going to Strega for over 7 years and always enjoyed our dinner. Last night was a major disappointment. We ordered the pasta with short rib and it came in a broth vs a sauce and it had zero taste. We ended up sending it back. I had the short rib which was still good but the parmigiana risotto was yellow rice vs risotto and was overcooked and had no taste. The sauce with the short rib was still good. I understand they have a new chef. I will give them another try but I hope it gets better.

    A neighborhood Italian food spot in a typical strip mall. The outstanding yet small menu leaves nothing out. Tender calamari tossed in balsamic with sweet fennel sausage - Yum! The "Angry Chicken Parm" was super tasty with some medium heat. The Barolo short-rib over risotto was also great. Finish with a cannoli and cheesecake. 10/10
