Streetcar Bistro & Taproom - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
A great place to have a delicious dinner and listen to a local band on a Saturday night. Very happy we made reservations as there was not a lot of seating and the place was packed. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a friend face and taken directly to our table. Our food was wonderful. The mushroom ravioli and root veritable salad will not disappoint. Our server was attentive and never let our drinks become empty. The Brian O'dell Band was amazing. Wonderful covers of DMB, John Mayer, and Outcast, in addition to some of their own originals.
We will be back for the entire experience in the future! Thank you for an enjoyable Saturday night.
Came here for lunch after driving from Seattle. Bartender/waiter was super nice and offered tasters from their craft beer selection. I opted for something I never would have tried!! No kid menu bungee cobbled together some sides. Older daughter ordered Mac and cheese with bacon- omg sosososo good. Hubs had burger and I had black bean burger- really everything was very good. Very slow, must be more of a night time place.
Customer service was very strong. One entree was completely unacceptable and while me and my dinner companion couldn't eat our meals at the same time, the staff quickly coordinated another meal and provided it on the house, along with an after dinner drink. Their recognition of the need for a good customer experience was appreciated.
Our waitress was on her second day (and it was her birthday...and Christmas Day eve) but there was nothing but smiles. One cook didnt show up and the waitress was new, but everyone was all smiles and service was as good as can be considering they were down a cook and a waitress. The burata caprese was tasty. Great beer selection.
We have been coming here for several years, and this is the best food they have done. We started with the hummus, which was quite good. The highlights were the burgers. My spouse had the veggie burger, which is now her favorite in town. I had the hamburger. With the addition of pickled onions and bacon jam, it is really remarkable and should soon land on a "best burger" list. The accompanying salads were great with the burgers.
We were searching for a place to have a dinner during Thanksgiving night, because we were in a city where we didn't know anyone. Personnel at this place is so nice, and seriously HUGE THANKS for working during Thanksgiving night, you guys are the best, and very hospitable! Dinner itself was amazing as well.
We had a party of 4 and were seated right away. The 3 of us had salads which were very good although my husband said the ahi tuna was a too well done. It was fun to watch the Duck game and the bartender was kind enough to have both tv's on the same channel. We have been to Streetcar many times before and will again. Just a nice place to grab a great beer and meal. They have music on the weekends as well
Saw this 1,000 point bistro downtown & decided to give it a try for brunch. Although pretty plain in presentation, the breakfast burrito and potatoes o'brien were very tasty & prices for breakfast were very reasonable. Service got very slow once the bar began filling with only 1 server on a Sunday morning. There really isn't any ambience here but looked like Liquor sales are a big draw. If I was in the area again & hungry for breakfast I would probably go back; otherwise, meh.
Every time I walk in there, I always get this warm, inviting and comfortable vibe. It's the perfect atmosphere, not too big and not too small. The acoustics for live music are really good and it's not too loud, it's just perfect. I love their beer, whiskey, scotch and bourbon selection. They really know their craft beers. The mac and cheese, burger, bacon wrap dates, black bean burger, Ahi salad are some of my top favorties.
I chose this restaurant for my husband to have a guy's night out for his birthday. They wanted to bar hop through the Pearl and needed a starting point for dinner. He reported back to me that although they were comped a round of drinks (which is really nice), it took an hour to get their dinner. If they hadn't been comped drinks, I would have given a lower star for Service. Might try again but very hesitant.
First off, everything about the service was terrible! We arrived and the place was fairly crowded. There was no one available to check us in. Once we were able to get the very annoyed waiter to respond to us, he said sit anywhere. We mentioned we had reservations, he looked even more annoyed and said to wait, he'll see where our table is. 15 mins later he's still outside talking to other people. We mentioned we were leaving and he turned away before I could finish my sentence and said ok. Rude! Wish I could give a review on the food... But I won't be back.
This is a great place for good beer and food, and service in our experience was top shelf. But we went to the place with another couple and as soon as the music started it was too loud for us to hear each other talk. We quickly finished our dinner and went elsewhere for dessert.
We love music, and nothing against those playing the night we where there. But we did not go there to hear this pair sing, and I suspect most who go to this place go because of the beer, not to hear live music. Suggest either to cut the speakers and play acoustic, or don't start until 8:30 or 9 when most who come for dinner are done.
Heard good things about this place. Came late afternoon on a Sunday on our way to the Blazer game.....we missed tipped off. There was one server and the place slowly filled up; she was overwhelmed. She was very sweet and courteous and apologized profusely for the slow service. She even "comped" two of our drinks due to the service (good management).
The food itself was flavorful (onion soup was actually great) but was luke warm when it arrived. We were rushed to eat despite being there nearly 2 hours before the game. We also each only had one drink...the waitress/bartender did not have enough time in the whole time we were there to get a second round for us.
If you go...don't be on a schedule.
I've driven by the Taproom many times and always thought it looked like a nice place. I went there the other night with 3 friends for a quiet dinner and drinks. The place is really nice and it wasn't very crowded. The drink list was impressive and the food was delicious. I almost don't want to write this review as I'm worried others will start going there and it won't be such a find. We had a great dinner and there was even live music after 10pm. I've already recommended it to a few friends and will be going back for sure.
Amazing, outstanding and fun. This is the place to go, great service, friendly and fun. The chef is simply amazing, the Halibut, and Salmon the best I have had.
This was our fourth time being there and each time it is just outstanding. Every month we go to a new place, brought friends on Saturday the 20th for a birthday. They want to come back again next month. For us we will come too, but also before that.
The music on Saturday night was a surprise and was very good. Looking forward to see what is next.
Food and service was great, but the live music on weekends was way too loud for my tastes. It made indoor conversation impossible. Fortunately we were able to be seated outside, but still had our conversation interrupted whenever the door opened. Maybe its a generational thing (I'm a boomer), but I found the music volume intolerable. Its still one of my favorite restaurants, but I will avoid music nights.
This place is an upscale taproom. It's one of those places where a girl can walk in and feel comfortable on her own and sit at the bar and have a cocktail. The staff is very warm and friendly. I really like their new menu much better than before now that the new owner/management have taken over. The place inside is really nice, but not uber fancy without feeling pretentious. I love the life music on the weekends. They play a good variety music each time and it's not too loud. They have 30 craft beers and a lot of choices of burbon, whiskey and scotch. Also, they make our their cocktails fresh squeezed which is really a big deal for me. I love it there! They brought their beer prices down which I am sure beer lovers will love that!
