The mussels were huge and a meal to themselves. The meat was sweet and tasty. The stuffed halibut was an excellent appetizer. The homemade pecan pie was nutty and not too sweet. The only whine we had was a bit too much salt on the snapper(Branzino) entree. Overall, we were quite pleased and will return.
Have dined there many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Delicious food, excellent service, and a warm and energetic ambience.
Great food and ambiance. Service felt a bit rushed, this being an issue that has prevented our return here for more than a decade.
Excellent meal with great service. Unpretentious, genuine care with food. Will be back.
The food at Street & Co. was excellent. From the appetizers to the main courses, just fantastic. It's pricey for a family , but we dine here 1-2 times a year for a special treat.
Great spot for a date. Seafood is second to none in Portland. Mussels are a must.
Have eaten at S&C 10-12 times over 10 years. It ALWAYS delivers. No matter whom we bring or what they order they almost always remark that it was their best meal in years. Cannot recommend highly enough.
OUTSTANDING in all aspects!
I hadn't been in the area for quite some time and was thrilled to have the opportunity to dine at Street & Co. again. It was all I remembered and then some! The food, from the mushroom appetizer, to the scallops in pernod & cream entree, to the date & fig cake for dessert, were all "mouth-watering, I'll remember it for a long time" delectable.
Another phenomenal dining experience at Street & Co. :)
I can't wait to go back!
The service was excellent, the appetizers and desserts were also excellent. The main course had a few issues that I would not expect from this restaurant. My Arctic Char was undercooked and my friend’s Calamari was a little tough.
The lobster with garlic is amazing. Salted caramel pot de creme was delicious. Small bite are always a favorite. Excellent service. It was quieter than normal. Only disappointment was no lobster bread pudding. I’ll be back again and again.
Second week in a row. Jennifer our server was GREAT! She helped pace apps and dinner well. She checked in on us and made us feel like we were only ones there.
Food was great. Mussels SO fresh and the mussel broth was garlicky and delicious. Sole and shrimp and calamari dishes worth it. No dessert for us - Lent. Overall another great night here!!!!!!
Delicious, well prepared take on Seafood
Food delicious. Service too rushed.
Food was so overpriced it makes it difficult to give a good review. I had the lobster linguini which probably had about 1/2 cup of raw garlic in it. It was just ok. My dining partners had a whole fish and the sole francaise. The presentation was nice but the taste was just mediocre. The best part was the bread! Service was good. I probably wouldn’t return.
This was our second recent visit. On both occasions, we split the grilled octopus appetizer, which was delicious and the texture spot-on. For entrees on our most recent visit, we selected the sole francaise and the scallops and pernod, both of which were expertly prepared.
Oysters were excellent, grilled octopus was very good, lobster bread pudding was excellent, and Pernod scallops we're great, but a touch salty. Thanks
Amazing!! Delicious food, if you are looking a great meal it is a perfect!
Food was delicious, however the lobster diavolo had too many muscles..should have just ordered the lobster. Lobster was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Incredible dinner for a visit from my brother from Chicago
It is absolutely the best restaurant in Portland!!
The food (as always) was exquisite. Service impeccable. Hostess friendly & courteous. True Portland dining experience that always meets, wait, exceeds our expectations. Belated Valentines celebration before attending a live music performance in Portland. The best way to capture Portland’s cuisine offerings, ambiance, and talent is dining at Street & Co.
We always come back. Excellent seafood we can count on. Great location and ambiance.
We loved the romantic atmosphere in this local favorite, hidden away down the alley. Thoroughly enjoyed the duck pate “taste”. Had the octopus appetizer and loved the texture and smoky grilled flavor. First time trying octopus and my worst fears abated. The whole fish was tasty but seemed a bit salty and over cooked. However it had a rustic appeal with the veggies and broth it was served with.
Best seafood in town! Wonderful experience and food! If you’re in town, this place is a must go.
I love the ambiance of Street and Company. Started off with some o tester and soup which were both excellent. Had the blackened halibut for the entree and was somewhat disappointed. It wasn't as flavorful as I would hope for however the dessert made up for it... pots de creme which was amazing! Service was great!
Octopus was delicious small taste were lots of fun to try. Will definitely go back everything was cooked perfectly
Reservations are a must here! Expect long wait times if you don’t have a reservation. Very expansive wine list, great menu, and amazing atmosphere. Service can be somewhat slow when they’re busy, but that is to be expected. Food was well worth the wait!
Great meal, delicious food and amazing wait staff. Well worth the trip it’s a jewel in Portland’s old port
One of my favorite "fancier" places to go. The meal is ALWAYS amazing!
Street & Company has been a favorite of ours for years. The food is good, the decor is cozy if a bit loud at times, and the bar is a lot of fun. You just need to make sure you are okay with your seating; if you get caught near one of the serving areas, it is noisy and the traffic through there can be bad.
The evening was spoiled by the fumes and smoke wafting into our seating area - a constant haze along the ceiling. Our clothes stunk the next morning .
We have eaten here a number of times over the years and as usual enjoyed the food and the bustling atmosphere. Service was friendly but our entree was a long time coming.
Not sure we will be back.
Fabulous foood! I highly recommend the Lobster Diavolo. Make a reservation as it is very popular. Our waiter was excellent as well.
For my first trip to Portland, Street was a good choice.
Warm, inviting atmosphere. We were so happy when we arrived - cold and wet from blowy rain storm and the minute you enter, the restaurant is warm and inviting. Hostess was very welcoming. Dinner was DELICIOUS!! Will definitely come again. Thank you!
Wonderful seafood! My wife had the Bronzino which was delicious. I had the grilled lobster with linguine. Couldn't be better. If you love garlic, you will be in heaven. The chefs love to use it!
Awesome dining experience. Amazing, amazing food. Great oysters, great salad and the Halibut was the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. From a food standpoint I give it a 100 out of 100. The only slight knock on the place was the less than enthusiastic server. She seemed quite snooty and un interested.
We came here with friends for our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! Our server who's name I can't remember was so attentive and helpful. For appetizers, we got oysters and mussels. The garlicky broth was to die for and perfect for dipping the crusty bread. Two of us ordered the sole francaise which was perfectly cooked in just the right amount of lemony buttery goodness. We also ordered the pan scallops in Pernod & cream...mmm so succulent and lastly a special of the night--blackened swordfish on a bed of celery root mash which my friend said was one of the best meals he's ever had. We all ordered the bourbon pecan pie for dessert which was just right. If you can get a reservation, Street & Co is a must!
I’d go back in a heart beat...great food, great service..
Street & Co’s cuisine & staff is always phenomenal.
Excellent Meal and service! Tasty unique dishes!
