Stove & Tap
Okay, the PA gov’t. mandate is over so we need a normal menu. It took (not kidding!) about 4 minutes explaining a salad to the server. She was nice, but a salad?
You don’t even have a regular salad on the menu, so it took that long to explain I need lettuce, tomato, etc. I wish I was exaggerating, but no.
It was like I was inventing a new dish.
We need your normal menu, with the best of the past. Or, we can find another place. We like coming there, so…
The cheese curds were delish! Good portion for price, staff was friendly and service was good
Stove & Tap is a great neighborhood bar and restaurant that always delivers a good meal and a good time.
Great food and great service!
Awesome food and service. Love dining here
We decided to venture out for an early dinner. The server was wonderful and thoughtful and the meal as usual was delicious
The service was great. The hostess was very accommodating. We asked to move because of the noise level ( both of us have hearing aides)it wasn’t a problem at all. Our serve Isabella was awesome and knowledgeable about the food on the menu. Our food was sooo good!! We went for brunch so I wasn’t expect anything amazing but it was!! Great experience!
Food was great! Sat outside was nice and shaded.
The food, as always, was excellent!! Our poor server tho was a bit overwhelmed with customers. She did the best she could- but the service was slow
The atmosphere was excellent. Our food and server were very good. We will be back!
We attended Trivia night and it was a lot of fun. Also, I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and it was extremely delicious.
Always happy here. Server was great, food good, no issues!
Always a good experience
The food was delicious, creative and tasty. I highly recommend the spicy tuna and brisket melt.
Not sure how good the food is as we never got that far. Made a reservation for two and outdoor dining. Waited at the hostess station for 15 minutes, observed by (2) bartenders and (3) wait staff but got that "look right through you - you don't exist" result. Finally walked up to the bar and asked about seating. Bartender apologized saying the hostess was "in the back talking", as if this were a reasonable excuse for waiting.
Bartender locates an outdoor table and we sit. Again, for another 15 minutes we wait as several wait staff "look right through us". It is not as if they were at capacity or were short-staffed.
After not being acknowledged for the 2nd time, I was not about to flag down a server. Instead, we got up from our table and walked away.
We walked 5 blocks west to the Lansdale Tavern, which was slammed. Yet, the hostess found us a table, and no less than (3) wait staff immediately came to our table. Each apologized that food may take up to 30 minutes, and offered to get drinks.
We were checked on several times and the food took only 20 minutes, and was tasty and about 30% less cost than the limited menu at the Stove and Tap. The only nice thing I can say about how we were treated at the Stove and Tap is, it was a wonderful evening walking away from there and getting much better customer respect, service, and food for less cost at the Lansdale Tavern.
The restaurant was short staffed so we had to wait a few minutes to even be seated. After that it took a while to order drinks and to order our food. Everything was slower because it was pretty crowded and either 1) they didn't schedule enough staff or 2) people decide to not work because of the unemployment money they can receive. Our waitress was very nice and apologized multiple times. I felt bad for the few people that had to take care of everyone inside and outside.
Unfortunately, we did not have a very good dining experience. It took 15-20 minutes from the time we got seated until a waiter came over to bring us water. The QR code did not work correctly and the item we were ordering was "out". Very long wait but once the food came it was pretty good overall.
Was busy, service was pleasant when we were helped, just not the best. I think the server just had to many tables
great outdoor dinner with friends without masks. Love the food and company
Great experience! Waitress was very friendly. Not a long wait for food. Meals were hot. Very good.
Food was Devine. For a small and eclectic menu everything was delicious
Very noisy as there was a wedding celebration in the next room. Also ,we were a party of 5 and one of the meals was not served until we inquired. A shame since it is usually a good place to go.

First time visiting and the food was delicious. Nice rustic feel to the restaurant and social distancing. Will be coming back again!
We sat upstairs next the open air room and it was very comfortable. Food was good, maybe a little pricey but I’ll blame that on Covid. Staff was attentive. We will definately be going again.
Stove and Tap is a tried and true neighborhood gem! Clean look, great food, cold beer... what more can one ask for.
Great food,a little overpriced imo..nice spot for lunch/dinner..we live in the area and most people complain about the prices ..place needs to be cleaned better..steps leading upstairs were covered in dust..
We found this spot on a whim and now it has become a favorite. My husband loves the fried chicken and I highly reccomend the Wood St. Sangria. he servers are super friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Great atmosphere and tremendous menu. Everything was superb!
It was a good time. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of gluten-free options for lunch, however, for the typical diner, I think the venue offers a pretty wide variety. I wouldn't hold the gluten-free options against them. The service was good and my drinks were fine. Definitely give it a go!
We had to wait 20+ minutes in a crowded front area, even with a reservation. Service seemed rushed and I even commented to my husband that it seemed like our food was just dropped down on our table. The menu is smaller than pre-COVID so less for me to choose from. My tuna tacos were very bland but my husband enjoyed his brisket dip.
Another casualty of the pandemic 😳
Went for dinner and ended up only staying for happy hour and not impressed. The place seemed very nice and the ambiance was good but the “Bavarian pretzel” seemed more like a frozen pretzel. It was small, very dry and not tasty. The brisket quesadilla was also small and barely contained anything in between the shell. Food quality did not match the price you pay or the feel of the restaurant.
Great food, music, & experience
Employees dress as if they just came from off the street. We actually thought the one that came up to us was another customer. Outfits are kind of gaudy or tacky for a restaurant that is as pricey as it is. My friends and I are 23+ and for us to notice that says a lot. Definitely a conversation piece while we were eating. Other than that, food was okay! Waitress was friendly. But again, would expect them to be wearing something a little more classy rather than shorts and street clothes.
The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Our server was very nice!
Our server was either new, bad, or both. She had no clue about the menu and was unable to answer simple questions about the food. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and our mains. She came back to let us know they had run out of the steak. Then the drinks came right away followed immediately by our main. We didn’t have time to enjoy our drinks and she skipped right over our appetizer too. We mentioned it to the food runner who sent our server back to apologize for not ordering the appetizer. Not even 30 seconds later the appetizer arrived. So now we had our pre-meal drinks, mains and appetizer all at once. Nothing was coursed. She had absolutely no clue about it. But when we got the bill, the appetizer was on the bill even though she apologized for never ordering it. Well, we did not make a fuss about it, paid it anyway and left. But the whole experience was less than enjoyable. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The food was ok. The fried chicken was definitely over cooked and dry. The kids meal was unappetizing with a runny and messy quesadilla and apple slices that were all browned up. We definitely had much better luck the previous times we are there. I’m sure we will give it another try since we live right next door. But we will not hesitate to request a different server if we are ever seated in her section again.
Our waitress Courtney went above and beyond for us! Overall great brunch experience!
First time being here and the food and staff were great.
They had a small menu but that made selecting easier. Everything I got from appetizers to the entree was excellent.
They had seating outdoors on, 1st floor and on the 2nd floor as well. I made rsvp and was seated on time with no wait. The staff was extremely friendly. I ended up forgetting my take home and I was extremely surprised they held on to it for me as well.
We attended trivia night and it was a lot of fun. Love their food, cocktails and their wait staff was great. Would definitely do it again!
