Stoudts Black Angus
Our award-winning, hand-crafted beers brewed fresh from our brewery next door are on draft. We have over 12 styles available year-round exclusively at our pub, including special firkins and small batch brewer’s reserve styles.
Decorated with Ed’s eclectic antique collections and personal aesthetic, our restaurant is a unique location for any dining occasion. We are a family friendly restaurant and welcome dogs in our patio area during the summer months.
Food was delicious but we waited a very long time to be served
Hello Diane, Thank you for your kind words and we look forward to seeing you again! In addition, your feedback helps us get better. It was an uncommon occurrence and we will strive to do better. Again, thank you for your feedback! Best, Stoudt's Black Angus Restaurant & Pub
This was recommended to us. The food was good and the restaurant was very nicely decorated. Altho being just a bit slow, the waitress accommodated my slight change in my entree.
Hello Rita, We are so grateful for your kind words. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we would look forward to seeing you again! In addition, your feedback helps us get better. Best, Stoudt's Black Angus Restaurant & Pub
The bartender reversed the garnishments in our drinks and our waiter did not get it, so we drank them anyway. One had olives and one a lump of suger.
The lunch took 2 hours and it wasnt even busy. I do not understand why it took so long to get our food. We had our 1 year old daughter with us and thankfully she was patient but when you see a table with kids maybe make more of an effort to get the food out at a reasonable time. We came for valentine's dinner with her back in February and had a great experience and it was busy. I dont understand but we will not be back.
Food was good but service was poor. It appears that more training is needed.
Very disappointing. Our food was served cold, one order did not include the side dishes. The medium burger was well-done. Our toddler's chicken was overcooked and dry, and the vegetables were essentially raw, so she was not able to eat either. Overall, we expected much better quality for an $80+ bill. We do not plan to be back.
We wanted to dine out someplace we normally do not go to. We enjoyed our visit overall, but the calamari appetizer was marginal and the baked French onion soup was missing a nice bread topping. The main entrees were good
We dine here often. The food, beverages and service are always excellent.
Great apps., fabulous service, interesting brews, fantastic cuts of meat. Overall wonderful value for dinner.
Food was great and the atmosphere was nice. Service was very good all around. The entrees were slightly small than what I will get else where, but the quality was awesome.
We have enjoyed Stout for many years. I brought two guests visiting from North Dakota, they enjoyed the meal very much.
Loved their fresh oysters, the German entrees (yummy sausages and Snitzle! Had one of their special home brewed beers , BELIEVER DOUBLE BOCK, aged in wine barrels with hints of dark chocolate!
Quaint and quiet on a Tuesday night. The food was very good. The pretzel appetizer was great!
Great food...and good service
Wonderful farm to table restaurant. Excellent hand-cut steaks, cooked perfectly. Wonderful artisanal cheeses. Not formal but excellent food and very well prepared. Service was fantastic and decor was fun and authentic.
My son and I took my husband to The Black Angus for an early Father's Day lunch. He loves brewery tours and trying different beer. Sadly, they only have tours on the weekend, but it wasn't stated on their website. Our waitress (Veronica) was great. Kind and attentive. The food was local and awesome! We brought a couple growlers and the bartender happily filled them. We also visited the cheese store and bout cheese (that they make right there) and bread that was still warm! It has a quirky, fun decor. It was terrific. But remember, if you want a brewery tour.... that's only Saturday and Sunday.
An "antique capital" must. Lots of craft beers. Pub and dining room options.
Good food, great service and atmosphere.. we had the pork schnitzel and it was very good. They have to put red cabbage on the menu.
Mother's day brunch, perfect PA Dutch spot
A classic...great food, warm service. They make one feel like they're part of the family.
This was our first time there and we were not disappointed. We had the delicious pretzel for our appetizer. My husband loved his oysters and mussels. The chocolate mousse purse dessert was awesome. We will definitely be going back.
Overall, it's an OK place to eat. On this particular night the waitress accidentally spilled a glass of water all over the table and onto my lap. She was very apologetic about it, but most restaurants would've at least offered a free dessert, especially since we had told her that we were there to celebrate my wife's birthday. We've found this before at this place. They are not usually apologetic, nor do they offer any compensation, if there's a problem. This leaves a little bit of a bad taste in the mouth, to pardon the expression. As far as the food, I've had better filet mignons,. It was fatty and not as tender as it could be, but acceptable. At least it wasn't the inedible prime rib we had there a few years ago that made us not return for a few years (we complained, but they didn't seem to care). We'd go back, but mostly because there aren't too many other nice restaurants in the immediate Adamstown area.
Very good steak & fingerling potatoes! The salad was unexceptional - limp greens with a bit of carrot, onion & cucumber - and the dressing was very vinegary. It would have been nice if they served some good crusty bread, but none was offered. Stoudt's IPA was very good.
The atmosphere was ok, but a bit tacky with beer bottles and steins for decor. It did get rather loud when a beer hopping bus crowd arrived in the bar.
Overall, it's a good place to eat if you're antiquing in the town.
The food was just not good at all. My wife ordered a steak "well done" (I know...), it came out med-rare. The spaetzle was a very small portion under my very over-cooked schnitzel, and I swear the spaetzle was microwaved. It tasted more like ramen then spaetzle. The iced tea tasted like dirt. The service was just okay - not very observant at all. I was very disappointed and would not return or recommend this restaurant. Outback, Longhorn or heck, Applebees has better food.
Great oysters and clams on the half shell. Beer is good too.
Our food was nor prepared properly. Scallops were cold, steak undercooked. We had to send back three Of six meals. All in all, in was very bad. The quality of the food was good but there was not much if it. No bread on table. I felt bad for the waitress. She was almost in tears.
We went with three other couples and had a very nice time. Our waiter was really nice, but service was very slow. We didn't mind since we were there to spend time with friends, but keep that in mind if you have time constraints. The menu is very small, but with a good enough variety. My husband and I both ordered the fillet. It was cooked as requested, but was thinner than any fillet we've ever had. It had the thickness of a sirloin. I would definitely go again, but would not order the fillet. For the amount of money you pay for fillet, I expect a nice thick piece. In all, our meals were tasty and the beer is very good!
Great pretzels and food though I felt the portions were on the small side. My son and husband enjoyed tasting several kinds of beer.
There were 8 in my group. It took a long time to get our food , then one person's chicken was grossly undercooked. Our server was very pleasant.
Great food, great service! Made my boyfriend's birthday dinner special. Thank you!
Very dated and very dark. Service was ok only because everyone pitched in. Waitress was overly busy. Food was ok, on the other hand, only Got a burger and fries. How bad could it be? Interestingly, had no mustard in the place. Really??
Could not drink the iced tea, tasted stale as if it had been sitting a while.
When we arrive the seating area was empty other than 2 other couples. Our drinks came rather quickly but our pretzel did not and it was over cooked. Our meal came out even slower and was nothing to be excited about. I had hoped for a better menu but about half of it was crossed off and what was available was nothing like what I had read about. The salmon my cousin ordered was horribly overcooked and chewy. We made a special trip out this direction to visit restaurants and breweries - this will not be on our list at all next time.
We were away for my husband's birthday and had lunch in Stoudts Black Angus. We were pleasantly surprised the food was so good. It was a great way to end a wonderful weekend
Stoudt's Black Angus Pub was a great choice for a fun evening. Good food great / excellent beer, and lovely eclectic atmosphere. I will go back again and again.
Enjoyed the Porterhouse pork chop and the different variety of beer brewed on site. Would recommend.
I had the crab macaroni and cheese, was totally dried out and flavorless
The steak sandwich could have used a little more filling, but the filet mignon was excellent. I was surprised that at the beginning of a long holiday weekend so many items were already sold out, even the fish and chips. As always, the craft beer selections were outstanding.
Cute place. We sat in comfy chairs, not the usual dining room chairs which was fun. Food ok but nothing to write her me about.
Food was good. I had a 6:30pm reservation but did not have us in the book, so consequently did not have a table in the pub as I had requested.
great meal and never disappointed by this dining spot - start w/ best shrimp around and the
steaks are above an beyond........always quality and good experience...
