Storyville American Table is a casual restaurant and bar that specializes in traditional New Orleans cuisine. The restaurant is names after and old section of New Orleans. Its interior is rustic with exposed brick walls and unique chandelier lighting. Storyville American Table is connected with Finley's of Green Street, which is a full-service bar that hosts late-night live music and entertainment.
Begin the meal with an appetizer like charbroiled oysters, chicken fried shrimp, fried green tomatoes or the Big Easy gator meatballs. For the main course, indulge in a variety of hearty sandwiches and po' boys or try one of the restaurant's entrées. Options include dishes like shrimp and grits, fire and rice jambalaya, New Orleans BBQ shrimp or the MacDaddy BBQ baby back ribs. Storyville American Table also offers a wide range of specialty New Orleans-inspired cocktails and margaritas for guests to choose from.
Great food and drinks. We had fried green tomatoes (little bland), chick/sausage gumbo (perfect).
Shrimp & Grit (good)
Redfish & Veg (perfect)-this was a special on menu
Topped it off with beignets (really good)
Great hospitality from all.
Would return with the kids.
Overall great restaurant!!!
We made a reservation for 7pm Saturday night. We arrived a few minutes early and were shown immediately to a table. The table was tiny and in a terrible location. I'm not normally picky about this but there were other open tables. We were told we couldn't sit at any of the open tables we saw but we could sit at a high top in the bar so we chose that instead. Since we were directly behind the hostess station, we heard all night that the restaurant seemed more interested in leaving tables open for the 8pm reservations than seating other people who came in. It was very weird.
Other than that, the server was fine, nothing special and the food was good as usual. We were finished by 8pm, by the way....
A great place for a different menu. The service was outstanding. They could not have been more accommodating and solicitous, without being bothersome. The staff made us feel that they were so concerned that we should be comfortable and well attended that we felt we were long-time customers.
awsome service and staff the chef was amazing delicious food!!!
Price fixe menu for Fat Tuesday was awesome. They gave us beads and a masquerade mask which added to the theme of the already New Orleans style atmosphere. Food was sooo good. King cake was great. I had the best steak (with French bacon gravy) I've ever had and it was a sirloin! Enough said :)
The service, staff and food were all excellent. True New Orleans food, flavorful but not to spicy. Fresh ingredients and all the finds of a New Orleans Restaurant. So glad we located it and will certainly be back for more. The sunday brunch was awesome with so much fresh seafood and cajun food.
We arrived for the sunday brunch. The bartender made an amazing cocktail. The gumbo soup was the best I have ever had...including new orleans. There were so many nice choices. We were too full for coffee or dessert. Sadly...desserts were yummy looking. Our server was fast and polite, as well as experienced. He was clearing plates without us realizing, which I appreciated.
Crab legs were bad, cracked them open and yellow sticky fluid came out and it smelled bad.
My wife and I celebrated my birthday and Valentines day at Storyville, I can tell
you we had a very enjoyable evening. Steven the server was very personable
and accommodating, the Jambalaya, with gumbo soup was outstanding, as was
the Sazerac cocktail. A small wedding party was sitting next to our table and we
enjoyed bantering and kidding with the dozen or so guests. Finally, when Steven,
prior to bringing the check, asked us how we enjoyed the evening, I mentioned
that besides it being Valentines day, it was also my birthday, he left and came
back with a round piece of cheesecake with a candle on it, and everybody sang
Happy Birthday. It was our first time at Storyville, and I can't wait to go back!
I thought everything was great except it was so cold in there. I ate with my coat on. We sat by a ceiling heater in a corner & froze.
We really enjoyed the Sunday brunch. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Would definitely go again.
A great upscale Cajun food restaurant with an array of menu options. We chose Storyville for our group before seeing a show at the Paramount. The service was great, Amber did a great job keeping the food and drinks coming. Try this place if you are looking for some good ole Nawlins eats. The crawfish appetizer was delicious!
The food is consistently good.
Very good service. Friendly atmosphere.
Fabulous meal...great menu - something for everyone....Brian the chef came over to see how we enjoyed our meal...great service, close to Main Street - I recommend it highly!
Gumbo and Jambalaya were awesome!
We were greeted with a smiling hostess and promptly taken to our table. The server explained the specials of the evening, took our drink order and gave the time we needed to make our dinner order. The food was excellent and their NOLO selections cannot be found elsewhere.
The staff was friendly. The food came out in a timely manner. Loved the unique menu.
Probably one of the best brunches on Long Island....
We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and great selection of choices for entrees and desserts!
Really disappointed in our visit. We had visited this restaurant when it first opened and were very pleased with all aspects, including the food. We returned for their weekend brunch and again we were very pleased. We had looked forward to our return. When we arrived, we were told that there would be a 20 minute delay for our table. That in itself was not a big deal - we were out for the evening with friends and, as they say, things happen. The 20 minute delay turned into a 30 minute delay and the manager did come out and apologize. However, the real disappointment was the meal itself. One thing that all restaurants in New Orleans have in common is pride in the plates that they bring to the table. I started with the Char-Broiled Oysters - which, as far I can tell, never saw the broiler. They were far from "golden brown" as the menu described, instead they were barely warm. For a $26 appetizer, I was hoping for much more. My entree, Grillades and Grits, was described as "medallions of seasoned beef, pan-seared" was more like sliced pot roast. It wasn't terrible, but not what I was expecting. I can't speak for the other guests in our party of six, but I can say that all felt let down. I'm hoping this may have been an off night for the kitchen and I do want to point out that our server, Steve, was gracious and accommodating.
Amazing service and chef is out of the chain!!
Terriable. Was looking forward to authentic Louisiana cooking. Only thing half decent was the corn muffins.
Overall the food and service were good but $17.95 for a Vodka Martini? Unconscionable.
Nice touch of New Orleans in Huntington. Tasty food at good prices.
Great outdoor dining. Food was good. Nice Sunday brunch. Although each time we go, there is less of a selection.
Excellent Service. Waiter was extremely attentive and engaging. Food was excellent. Truly had a NOLA vibe.
The food was amazing! Best catfish I've had since the "Catfish cafe"closed. I would recommend this restaurant and I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Love the chicken fried shrimp and fire cracker popcorn craw fish appetizers. The gumbo was and always fantastic! We had the ettoufe, the catfish and penne. All very tasty. Very friendly staff.
I was looking forward to meeting my family for a Sunday Brunch "New Orleans" Style. There were 3 seatings which were available....we reserved the latest which was at 2pm. The food was obviously sitting out all morning......there was not one hot item other than the soup....Imagine COLD eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, potatoes...etc.... does not sound appetizing, nor was it any good. The salads were soggy and empty (again obviously sat out all day)..muffins stale and hard...
The bloody Mary was good as well as the Mimosa. However it is quite nervy to charge 29.95 a person for brunch when the food was worth the price of a bagel.....I am not sure if the earlier seating had a better experience, however if they are not going to keep food fresh and Hot...DO NOT offer a late seating.
Additionally, it was quite warm, in the restaurant, making it uncomfortable to eat as well. The irony of a warm restaurant, but not the food. Only a small portion of restaurant seemed to have a working air conditioner. The restaurant was empty, why sit us in the warm section and not where the comfortable air was. We will certainly NEVER dine there again, and would not recommend it. I spent over $300, (we were 6 people)with tax and gratuity....I love hanging out with my family....they are worth every penny, NOT the meal.
Went for brunch. Selections were good. Not as many as website makes it sound though.
Lots of fun choices on the menu! Good craft beer selection and nice house wine, too.
Service was very good - very nice people
Rest is tired and food was plain and just ok
Our second time here, will be back! I love that the chef came out of the kitchen to check on his diners!
We went to Storyville to celebrate a friend's birthday. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, staff was friendly, and food was delicious! Everything was fresh and hot. Grits, fried green tomatoes, oysters, jambalaya, and beignets were fabulous. Chef Bryan was exceptional. I have a sodium allergy and Not only did he create a flavorful and tasty salt free meal but was pleasant and eager to do so. During the course of our meal he came to our table more than once as well as to other tables checking on everyone's meals. He made us feel as if we were friends dining in his kitchen at home. Comfort food that soothes your soul! Can't wait to go back!
I tried this restaurant reluctantly, as I had not been impressed with the food previously. Thought it might have improved. It did not.
The restaurant became too noisy for comfortable conversation.
Plus side - staff was friendly and service was fine.
Great atmosphere and excellent table service. We are outside on the front patio and it was delightful. I would definitely go back and will recommend it to others.
Great food, great service, comfortable sitting table outside.
The food was good, extensive menu, but there was no music which we found strange, and the staff would go MIA for extended periods
The best Cajun food on Long Island. I had the combination of gumbo and jambalaya and found it delicious. Though it was our first time there, the owner made us feel like regulars. Looking forward to our next visit.
We went on Father's day with another family. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. The kids had a great time. Service was excellent and very friendly. The kids loved the necklaces :)
Wonderful place for a great brunch anytime! Fun for a special occasion or any other time if you want brunch/lunch!
