Food was good. Service was slow especially getting drink refills.
only problem, which we understood when we sat down by the water, the noise and gas of the power boats that docked was not pleasant. but, that'swaterfront dining
Friendly staff! Great food! And the seafood tastes so FRESH. We’ll definitely be back!
We had I great time , good place to share a birthday! Will definitely return in the summer to try the deck!
I had the Blackened Tuna bites and I think it is one of the best appetizers I have ever had. The cucumber aioli compliments them well. I also enjoyed the crab macaroni and cheese. Awesome!
Service was excellent- Made reservations an hour before and the table was ready when we got there- great evening and great food
Kingfishers’ good food never disappoints my family. We always get what we want.
Friendly staff, good food and good service.
Had the crab dip with pretzels, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. My wife and I ordered the large crab cake sandwich and Mac and crab meal. Both were good. We were very impressed with the individual singing that night. He provide a pleasant evening of music. This was a great way to spend a relaxing Friday night
This was our second visit to Stoney's and while the food was equally as good, the service was very disappointing. The previous year we had a group of 12, an energetic, fun server and everyone was happy with their meal. This year our server was friendly, but after those the appetizers/salads arrived, we waited for more than an hour for our main courses with minimal attention during the wait. When we raised a concern, we were advised there was a large party upstairs - surely not our problem. There was no apology for our wait when the food finally arrived or when our bills were distributed. There were multiple tables or two and four around us that arrived after we did, were served, ate and left before our food arrived. We understand there can be issues that cause these types of delays, but when there is no communication or recognition of the disservice, customers go elsewhere as will happen on our next visit to this area.
While I had a reservation, the place was empty when we got there. Don't understand because it's a great place. Server was great, food was out rather quickly, and it tasted great.
I don't recall our waitress's name but without a doubt - the Best ever!!!!
Food and service were great. We were there on Sunday night so not crowded. Liked all the wood carvings.
Enjoyed the experience. Service was great. Great location. Would recommend.
Always good seafood, usually great service, and nice atmosphere.
Food was great. Our server was the best , ordered crab cakes, they were good but a little on the small size for the price . My husband got the calamari, it was a large portion. So was his fish and chips .
Stoney's Kingfisher is always one of my favorite seafood places to dine. It casual but the food is always good!
My favorite restaurant at Solomons Island. I had the Petite Steamer, hush puppies, and Key Line pie. Yum-yum.
Good food nice waitress pretty view
The food was good and service was friendly.
Live 10 hours away. Last 4 years we have been going to Buds Creek motocross races. We drive this far because we love the area and the food at king Fishers. So far 4 and 0. Awesome food. Good job guys👍👍
Good fopd, nice decor, good music
The food was the best part. Review really focused on the bad service, have a hard time seeing past how long it took to get our drinks. One think to note the tables around us sat ate and left before us?!? So I would say it was isolated to our server!
Food is very good, go for the seafood, especially the softshell crabs. Service was good, and it's along the water so great ambience. Make reservations, it's Solomon's .....
Excellent food service and tasty BBQ Salmon, Fish Bites and Hush Puppies!
Excellent atmosphere... we met a couple for dinner... service was timely but not pushy. We had a great time!
Arrived early for a reservation and was seated promptly. Service was fast and attentive. Good beer selection. Enjoyed the raw oysters and hushpuppies. Had the steamer which was pretty good - some of the mussels and clams were a bit gritty and overcooked. Corn was very good, lobster and crab as well. Crabcake was well done, with no filler.
We had outside seats and they worked real hard to get us inside and replace our salads that for a bit wet.
Excellent food, surpassed only by the friendliness of the wait staff and the glorious view. One of my top favorites anywhere!
The best crab cakes ever!
Kingfisher's was only ok. Lots of fried fish on the menu. The dining room is very casual and nothing special. In hindsight, I would have chosen somewhere much different for our anniversary dinner.
We had a family dinner here, with the wedding party's rehearsal dinner going on upstairs. We had a blast, and the staff were very understanding of our back & forth with our relatives & friends upstairs, and they were very attentive, providing great service. The only comment that was a 'suggestion' is that several in our party would have preferred to have broiled crab cakes. The restaurant standard is to fry the crab cakes; they were very good both ways. We ate outside on the deck, and we were interrupted in the middle of dinner by a rainstorm. That's obviously not on Stoney's - that's on me, and everybody chastised me thoroughly. Overall, a great time for a very special occasion!
Overall our service and ambiance were lovely. Clam chowder very disappointing, tasted of flour and contained mostly shrimp. Soft shell crab was extremely salty and had too much batter or breading. Our huge seafood lover could not eat the second crab.
The food was coated with BBQ sauce and it was difficult to know what you were eating. The bacon scallops were difficult to know what we were eating. The salmons was also coated in BBQ sauce.
I like having lunch at the rest. but will not return for dinner
Always a pleasure, always accommodating for special occasions
Always a great meal and a stop every time we're in town
We celebrated two St. Mary's College of Maryland graduates' achievement here, with the families and friends of two best-friend roommates.
The food was just wonderful. Fresh, fresh, delicious seafood, beautifully prepared and served. The menu is extremely varied, and the staff was generous enough to allow us to order from the dinner AND lunch menus at mid-afternoon, which suited all of our appetites perfectly.
The service by Mandy was friendly, patient with oldsters, and once the food orders were taken, prompt.
[I had two issues ONLY. One was that the tables were set up in a long line, so that we had to get up and walk to the other end to meet and visit with the other family. A U or L shape arrangement would have been much more conducive to mixing. The second issue was that the drinks (mostly ice water, ice tea, and several glasses of wine/beer) took extremely long to be served. I don't know if our beautiful waitress had other duties elsewhere or what, but I could not understand what the holdup was. The bar was at the end of our upstairs room. I was sorely tempted to get up and help, but I am no longer the hail and hearty bartender I was in my youth, and I'm now too lame to do so!]
With those two exceptions, which were easy enough to overlook, the event was a huge success. My sincere thanks to Lauren, the manager, who facilitated my arrangements, and was happy to permit my bringing a sheet cake from our bakery that was specially designed for the occasion.
We had a good time. There were 6 of us on a fishing trip. We enjoyed the food. One meal came out over cooked but was quickly and cheerfully replaced. Our waitress was outstanding. The water view from our table was spectacular. Overall an excellent dining experience.
We had a terrific waiter, but the food was terrible, to the point of ruining our Easter Brunch. I had the worst crab cake that I've had in my life. I think it was microwaved and had been frozen for a long period of time. On the one hand, my bad for ordering out of season, on the other hand, the restaurant should not have served crab cakes that are freezer-burned. My in-laws had a range of complaints from overly salty crab mac and cheese to overly spicy ahi tuna to green beans that were frozen, not fresh as a side.
I felt like the cooking basically defrosted premade meals and served them. We will not return to this restaurant that specializes in seafood.
Crab cakes were the best we've ever had. The shell fish was great. Live music was very pleasant and water front vista was amazing. Great experience.
