Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill - Towson Ratings and Reviews
I try Stoney River for all my special occasions and sometimes just for a good meal out with the family. I always have a great meal and have never had a bad service. You one the best wait staffs in the business. Only concern is that you removed the browny Sunday from the desesrt list. I always ask about it when I am in. 😀
Had dinner with my parents and my husband and our 8 week old baby on a Saturday night and the food was delicious. I had been dreaming about eating the coffee cured filet medium rare for eleven months (cannot eat undercooked meat while pregnant) and it was SO worth the wait. The sweet potato casserole was incredible as well...more like a dessert than an entree side dish, but heavenly nonetheless. I ate the entire thing by myself...too good to share. Our server was very pleasant and attentive and our food came faster than anticipated. It was a busy night so the noise level was a little loud for my taste, but it won't stop me from coming back again. Enjoy!
Waiters and servers were great. Food prepared excellent.. just a tad bit loud with the music in the background but honestly I forgot about it once I started eating! Over all super pleasant, I would recommend anyone to go there. I myself plan to visit again soon! 5 stars.
Overall, my experience was excellent. The service was great, and so was my entree (I had the Cowboy Ribeye which I HIGHLY recommend). The only complaint I have is about the appetizer I received. I ordered the deviled eggs and when they came out they were extremely cold, almost frozen. The plate was also extremely cold, which leads me to believe that the appetizer had been prepared, plated, and refrigerated for several hours, possibly overnight. I decided to hold of on eating the rest of them so that they could warm up a bit. As a result I couldn't really enjoy them as an appetizer because my entree came out before the overwhelming chill wore off.
This was a last minute birthday reservation as family came from out of town and we choose Stony River to celebrate son's big day. Made reservations through OpenTable and followed up reservation with call to restaurant confirming birthday dinner.
Arrived at reserved time and mentioned to hostess once more "birthday."
Had table served by Will who did a fair job and tried to be present but unobtrusive. All good intentions and even saw my son open presents at table. Yet took dessert order and did nothing. NO candle, admitted he does not sing and then laughed off the gaff and charged for dessert.
My first time here and I’ll be back. Very nice menu. My son had a very good filet (and he’s a steak snob), the steak and biscuits were amazing, augratin potato’s were excellent, my wife loved her salmon, and the chicken fingers were even good. Price for 5, with tip and no alcohol, was $160. Very reasonable. I am very impressed.
