About
We did not end up staying for our meal because within ten seconds of sitting down at our table, I noticed a slug on the wall behind my wife’s shoulder. The hostess gave me a coffee filter to remove it and we then decided to leave. A waiter or possibly a manager, I’m not sure since he did not introduce himself, came over and started joking about the slug trying to lighten up the mood I guess. He then went on to explain that the booth we were seated at has a slug problem and it’s been ongoing for sometime. There were several open booths and tables, so why sit us there if it’s an ongoing problem that the restaurant refuses to fix? Safe to say we immediately left and went elsewhere to eat. I was disappointed since my wife highly recommended this place and I had never been before, but after our experience we will not return to Stoneys or recommend anyone to eat there.
Would give less than one star if possible.
Great food... great service. They treated my wife and I like VIPs as we celebrated our anniversary. The lobster bisque was silky and full of flavor, and the rolls were amazing. My wife had the tuna and said it was cooked perfectly. The rice it was served with was very tasty. But The spinach should have had the stems removed. I had the coffee and molasses spiced filet. It was a little sweet for my taste but was cooked perfectly. And the Au gratin potatoes was heavenly. We will be back for sure... again and again.
A wonderful experience.
Seated immediately
Drinks appeared fast as did the appetizer.
Salads followed (we split one and it was plenty, but they also discount salads when served with an entree so you don’t really need to share if you don’t want to)
Steaks were great. I had the coffee marinade filet, wife had regular filet. Shared a baked potato and also a basket of delicious and nicely seasoned fries.
Enjoyed the fact that they didn’t rush us but also moved the meal right along. Were out in an hour which was fine with us.
We enjoyed this experience much more than our friends who went to a fancier place,Marcel, and spent twice as much.
We have made reservations at Stoney River many times for our anniversary – we were not disappointed. It was fantastic!
We were the first customers of the day. Our waiter was polite and efficient. The food was good.
First we had to send the wine back twice because the gla
was very disappointed with the service there and the noise of the manager screaming out to the servers. was sitting in booth in bar area.
food quality is not as good as it used to be.
Just a special day for us and it could not have been a better experience
Good food, very very noisy. Difficult to engage in dinner conversation. Staff were all very nice
Server was great. So accommodating.
Great food and service
We enjoyed our dinner and service was excellent. It was a little too cold for us and they moved us immediately to a warmer area. We usually order the prime rib but this time we tried the Cowboy Rib Eye along with the wedge salad and a Blue Moon. DELICIOUS every bit as good as the prime rib. We will be returning next month for my husbands birthday. Maybe we will be adventurous and try a seafood entree.
Steak was over cooked. They did replace with a new cut of meat. There was a bone shard in the steak. The eggs were over cooked on both orders of eggs Benedict. The rolls were cold and hard.
Really disappointed in the quality of food.
PS:
I was contacted by management and they were apologetic and offered another chance to come dine at Stoney River. I appreciate their concern that my experience was not up to par.
The chef made me a veggie burger even though it wasn’t on the dinner menu. My wife said the steak was really good and the service was good as well.
Exceeded our expectations. Food was excellent and a good value compared to other steak houses in the area. Everyone from the grandparents to the teenagers enjoyed it.
Went on a Monday night for my Fiancee's birthday. Food was good, however not sure it was $130 good. We had an appetizer, 2 meals, iced tea and hot tea and it was $130! No alcoholic drinks at all.
The filets were good, a I little too charred on the outside for us. His was more tender than mine. He had the coffee filet. I had the petite filet oscar style. The bearnaise sauce was way too spicy for my taste. Good portion of crab on top though and crab was good.
Will we be back??? Not sure. We don't mind paying for a good meal but I don't think the price is equal to everything we would go back for. Glad we tried it, but might be a one and done for us.
Heather and William did an excellent job acknowledging our 30th anniversary and serving amazing food. Thank you Stoney River Roswell for making our special occasion your special occasion.
Great food, great service and a great time had by all.
We went for a Father’s Day celebration. It had been over 15 years since we’d been there and were impressed with the decor and ambience. (both inside and out) Our server, Kelsey, was fantastic. She made sure our 94 yr old mother had a wonderful meal, while we enjoyed the rib-eye, and trout. Both were delicious and plentiful. (We Brought half home for later) We were surprised and touched when a piece of delicious chocolate cake was given to my husband in celebration of the day. We had a a very enjoyable time. (Lit candles on the tables ensured a relaxing experience)
We ordered off the brunch menu. French toast was hard as a rock. Biscuits were dry. Meat was all over cooked. For what we paid, what we received was no where close to worth the money. Hopefully the usual lunch and dinner menus are better. I have eaten at a different location before and it was great. Atmosphere was great.
Excellent restaurant. The service was professional, courteous and flawless. The food was impeccable. A great place to eat for a special occasion.
We have brunched at Stoney River on a few occasions. We like the quiet ambiance. Though busier than normal on Father’s Day, it was a nice visit and lunch. We had a minor mistake with one meal, but it was corrected with special attention. The pre-meal biscuits were delicious as was the quiche and salad. We recommend the Sunday brunch.
Very limited brunch menu. The ribeye was very thin and French toast was overly done and crispy. All other meals were very good.
We have eaten here before and were disappointed tonight. The calamari appetizer batter had too much pepper. I sent back an old fashion that had a quarter of an orange and tons of ice. When I ordered bourbon neat with a side of ice they ice was never served. The chicken bistro was greasy and cold. The Brussel sprouts were also cold. The restaurant was at 50% occupancy so we are not sure why the quality was so poor.
A wonderful restaurant! Food is absolutely delicious! Our waitress was great!
Food overall was good. Server was prompt, friendly and attentive. We unfortunately ordered everything up front which meant the salads were coming before the hors d’oeuvres with the main course practically on the way. Asked our waitress to slow down the pace, which is why (I assume) my baked potato was lukewarm. Overall still a good experience. We will know better how to plan our orders.
One of my favorite places to eat in the Atlanta area.
Prime rib was extremely fatty
Love this place. The food is great and the staff is very attentive. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal.
Terrible service did not even get to really try my food as my drink was empty for 20 mins
Best prime rib I have ever had, but this time i got a hamburger. Hamburger was very good and cooked to perfection.
Philip was a great server - Hannah the manager check on us to make sure everything was perfect.
Food was exceptional. The Birthday Girl really enjoyed herself!
The steak and biscuits were no good, very dry, no flavor. Coffee cured filet was good, but way too salty. The roasted Brussel sprouts were super salty too. Service was good. We’ve been multiple times before and it was good, but we don’t think we would go back. Thought it was a bit over priced for the overall experience. We have been to other nice steak houses that are not “chain” restaurants that have been less expensive and better.
Excellent meal and great service
An incredible dinner - the steak was perfect as was the au gratin potato and Brussel sprouts. The carrot cake was awesome.
A once high level 10 star restaurant has slip to fast food quality eatery. Felt sorry for our food server ( William) he didn't seem be available most of time., forgeting to bring ordered drinks and other things that our group requested poor backups that should have been helping him if he was a new hire. Maybe it was just poor management training. Loud music and having to ask other service people for help and so on. I could write more but really doesn't matter as we don't plan to come back
The food was excellent with the steaks prepared perfectly. The service is appropriately attentive without being intrusive. the carrot cake is a must-have every time we dine here.
Both of our servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The dinner was delish and done perfectly to our requests.
After dinner, we asked for take home containers. The server indicated she would box them for us. Unfortunately, she dropped my dish before boxing it up and came back to us, apologized, and said they were making me another steak to take home. Now, what great service is that!
I highly recommend Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill to anyone looking for great service, food, and ambiance!
Great food!
