Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill - Deer Park Ratings and Reviews
Great ambiance with superb service. Not only was our server attentive to our needs but the assistant manager was stopping table to table to make sure everything was great. Even the food runner asked if we wanted to freshen our drinks.
Food was great, we both had the Fillet. Comes with a side and came the right temperature and quality that would be expected.
For a busy evening (St Valentine’s Day), the service and food was very good, especially with our late reservation. We were seated at our reservation time and were promptly waited on and served. No rushed meal or cramped seating that you might have had at other places on a busy night for restaurants - it was like other evenings that we’ve dined there (very “normal”)
This was the third time we have visited this restaurant and the other two times were A plus. However, I requested a medium rare steak and it came well done and tough. I have had more tender steaks at Outbacks for 1/3rd the price!! For me it was a very disappointing evening out!
Have eaten here many times, always get the Ribeye. This time I though I would try
the Prime Rib, the outside edges of the prime rib were so salty I could not eat it,
usually that's the best part, inside was good. My wife got the Ribeye and gave
me some, also the top was to salty. Had my granddaughter with, she ordered a
mixed drink, drank some then looked inside and found a bug floating in the
drink. They did replace the drink and was not charged for them. I was
a little disapointed in the food, too salty to enjoy.
We were so looking forward to celebrating some family events at Stoney River and were very disappointed with our meal: all the entrees were cold, steaks were tough and seafood was nothing special. Server must have been new, so we very pleasant bit she was not great either. Would never go back.
Always love this place, especially for special occasions, never been disappointed. Had one of the best servers I’ve ever had at any restaurant, it was a guy who’s name starts with a D, I wish I remembered it all but I still hope he gets some recognition we are going to try and request him every time we come. Thanks for always going above and beyond for your customers Stoney River! Food was amazing as always.
The family went to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations for 7:15 on line and I indicated our preference for a booth as well. We arrived right on time, and honestly I was expecting a short wait. They checked us in and said our table was ready and escorted us to a 5 person booth in the corner. Our waitress was prompt with drinks and the food came out quickly and hot. Rarely do I say that a restaurant exceeded our expectations, but that's exactly what happened from start to finish.
We go a couple times a year for special occasions. This time it was my birthday. It’s a very noisy place on Fri nites. Service was slow. My meal came without the lemon caper sauce, vegetables were cold. Husband’s meatloaf had more filler than meat, green beans cold. My. Elderly mother’s shrimp was ok but fries were cold and Brussels sprouts mushy and unrecognizable. AND EXPENSIVE minus the quality. Very disappointed.
It was a very enjoyable evening. Our waitress was Jessica; she was very kind and explicit in talking about the menu. We told her we were going to see a movie after dinner so she was very proactive in getting everything served promptly. We are definitely looking forward to going there again. Our food was great, I had the codfish, my husband the steak. We took some leftovers home and my husband still raved about the steak when he reheated it for leftovers.
Service was fantastic as was the appetizer, salad, steaks and wine. Their bread was the only disappointment as they tried to go with a southern style bread ball, but I'd much prefer a typical warm French, pumpernickel or light rye that you get from other expensive steak houses.
