It was my first time eating there and I was not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food was pretty good. I would definitely eat there again.
This was first time at the Grille. We went for my wife's birthday. Food and service was good. It was a Wednesday night which happens to be Trivia night at the bar. The noise level there was very loud and carried into the dining room.
Enjoyed the Sunday Brunch very much...Will go back for dinner soon..
A great place to eat! We enjoyed everything about it!
We love the menu, the servers are all fantastic (especially Sarah) and the ambience. We'll be back again.
Very good salads and salmon. Great cappuccino.
Delicious food, friendly staff, clean and pretty restaurant. Reasonable prices. Will return soon!
Great service, food, and atmosphere. A neighborhood gem!
A reliable go-to. Good food and service. Reasonably priced.
The waiter was very tentative and alert when we were eating. He always made sure that we were alright and if we needed anything.
Went for brunch- eggs extremely runny and wet, bacon just sitting in grease
Food wax OK, not very impressed.
Amazing food and service . The French onion soup was one of the best we’ve had. Our server . The name is escaping me but a gentleman who made our experience wonderful . 10 out of 10 would recommend .
Celebrating good friends and our sons’ college graduation
Awesome cocktails, nice services and good food. Great place to hang out..
Food was outstanding! Wait service was excellent. Price was good. It was quiet, no shouting.
Our experience at Stoney Brook Grille was very mixed. It was fairly empty when we arrived on a Saturday night. Our server was a young man who turned out to be 32 years old and severely missing the skills of a good server. He did not bring us water until we asked. He kept calling my companion Mr. and he was painfully slow to remove dishes that we had used from the table. He did not have a lot of tables at the time.
As far as the food is concerned, we were delighted with everything that we ate. Very generous portions, well-made and a bit different than other restaurants. I would definitely recommend it for the food and hope that we would get a different server next time.
Food was excellent as always
I thoroughly recommend visiting for Sunday brunch. While the brunch had all the usual brunch items, there were quite a few specialty dishes. Everything was delicious. Our party of 8 had outstanding service and constant attention from the wait staff. The interior was spacious and immaculate. Overall, an outstanding experience. I cannot wait to go back.
Very nice place for a dinner or Sunday Brunch never disappoints.
Great Happy Hour 1-7 on Friday with $6 Manhattan and Martini with wonderful Bar Bites and entertainment
This is quickly becoming our favorite place to go with people in my office. Service is always excellent. Atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. Food is of good quality, with a wide variety and generous portions. There is always something very good on the daily specials. Can't wait to go back.
While the food was very good, it took over an hour for our meals to arrive. It wasn't the waiters fault, something going on in the kitchen. Quite noisy for a lunch time also. Hesitant to try again.
Love it here, food always good and great variety with creativity.
It was nice. Reasonable, decent food , prices and service was excellent...I recommend.
The bar was crowded and loud. That was great if that is why you were there, we were there for dinner. The noise from the bar carried into the far corners of the dining room and we were forced to yell to be heard. The service was brusk, the waiter totally lacked manners and it was obvious that he had never been instructed on how to wait tables or take care of customers. The food was fair, the mashed potatoes served with my pork chop were watery and tasteless, the chop was inconsistently cooked, raw at one end and dry at the other; the other vegetables on the dish were cooked to a point where they were indistinguishable.
I have been to Stoney Brook before and never been this unhappy, apparently, I am not the only one because even at 9 PM when were leaving the dining room was almost empty.
Always lives up to our expectation.
Celebrated my Mom’s birthday with their Sunday brunch . Everything was very good and the selections and variety of food was excellent . Everything from eggs to lamb so a wide variety :)
I enjoyed our lunch very much. The service was great and food was fantastic. However I think the meal should come with a cup of soup or a small salad to start off with.
The food was good and the server was pleasant, however, when one of my dinner companions asked for straws for the water glasses, he clearly rolled his eyes at her and made a face. A few minutes later he dropped off one straw and left before we could say we needed more than one. When I saw him walking by again several minutes later I asked again if we could have a couple more straws and he rolled his eyes and walked away without answering. He was not trying to even hide his irritation. There were 5 of us and he wasn't at the table often, we had to try to catch his attention if we needed something. We're not the type of patrons who required constant attention, but when you also shouldn't have to spend 10+ minutes trying to get your servers attention for a drink refill or napkin, etc. When you pay $150+ for a dinner for 5, you don't expect to have the server roll their eyes at you and get irritated when you need a straw. Also, the dishes and empty glasses on the table were so bad we kept constantly having to try to stack them up so we had room to eat. It was not good service
Our waiter was outstanding and the food was excellent!
Enjoyed a great lunch. One of our favorite restaurants! Looking forward to our next visit - Sunday brunch.
We like Stoney Brook, its a good local place and a nice selection of entrees. Our only complaint has been some entrees are hit or miss. I ordered a pan seared fish which i thought would be a light meal but was heavy on sauce on the top - not what i was expecting. My daughter ordered a shrimp appetizer as her main course and was swimming in teriaki sauce, way too much made it inedible. Again its hit or miss, my son got a burger and it was great
My husband, son and I ate there this past Friday night. We sat in the bar area where there was a great guitar player/singer. Our food was amazing - I have some dietary restrictions and they were happy to accommodate. Our server was top notch - making excellent recommendations. Over all I give it 5 stars and can't wait to return!
The menu was vast and interesting, however, our meals were very ordinary for the price. The restaurant turned out to be alot more expensive than we realized. $29.00 for three baked stuffed shrimp was a bit pricey. Add to that a salad and dessert and the price really crept up. The shrimp were not jumbo and mostly stuffing. Cannot recommend this restaurant.
We thoroughly our meal. It was perfect for our family with teenagers. Everyone had a good choice of food and the food was very good. We would return.
Server was fantastic. Food was delicious - as always. We drive 40 minutes to get here and it is well worth it.
Go early. When it fills up around noon it is very noisy. The waffles were very light and very good. Lots of variety and everything was good.
Nice casual meal.
It makes me sad to say that something changed at stoneybrook grille. We have been having dinner here for many years, but for the last year or more we have been frequenting this restaurant one to two times per month. The food is usually pretty good and if you go before 7, you can have certain drinks at happy hour prices. We got to know several of the workers and always felt appreciated for our patronage.
This past Saturday night, after a long day, we landed for a quick bite. My husband got a burger which normally comes with fries. Sometimes he prefers onion rings or onion straws for a change. It is usually an even swap without any issue. On this night when we received our bill, there was a strange additional fee. I ask what the deal was and we come to find that there was an up charge for the onion straws. No warning when we ordered, we were just charged $3 on a $10 burger. The most insulting part was when we questioned what was going on, we were told the owner, who we had just warmly shook hands with when we entered insisted that charge be added and rather than coming to us and explaining, he sent some young uptight girl we never saw before from the kitchen to rudely explain it to us. She basically called me a liar when I told her we had done this many times before and received no charge. Anyway, it was quite shocking and seems as though the days of appreciating regular customers are behind us. Oh well, there certainly isn’t a lack of options around here. I guess this will no longer be our regular spot.
