Stonewalls - Rapid City Ratings and Reviews
We have been going to this restaurant for at least six years whenever we are in Rapid City. It has always had good food and service. This time I had a shrimp pasta and it was so salty, it was inedible. It was is in a chicken broth and I believe that was the source of the brine. My husband had the crusted sea bass, and it was so over cooked that he couldn't eat it. They did comp us free deserts, but we will not be going back. Stick to the pizza
Our waiter was very attentive and timely informed us of happy hour prices and when they would end the occasion was a birthday and everything was all set up and ready when we came in so it made it really easy and inviting he made recommendations and made friendly conversation with the group I've had the same waiter before for breakfast and he does an excellent job
We love supporting local businesses and Stonewalls is a great find! The cinnamon rolls in the morning are the best! We enjoy dinner here regularly. We recommend the caesar salad....the parmesan bowl is amazing! We also love the artichoke dip, bread, pizzas and pastas. The service is warm and friendly and the wine list is very good too.
This was a perfect place to have our 20th wedding anniversary dinner! Atmosphere was romantic and service was excellent! The prime rib was delicious but that French Onion soup is one of a kind, just so good!! We have gone here for breakfast and lunch before and it's all good but my favorite is their biscuits and gravy!! On top of all of that they brew their own coffee! I would recommend for anyone as it is definitely a must visit!! Ownership are some of the most genuinely nice people too. Do yourself a favor, go and enjoy!!!
I was very disappointed in Stonewalls this visit. It has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but this time our service was slow, we didn't get the appetizer we ordered (the order was never put in), and our salmon and halibut were dry. Breakfast and the pizzas are great, but now wondering about the other food.
We went for my husbands birthday as he had never been there...We had amazing food. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the Mediterranean Pizza. We also got a very good bottle of wine. We were there at 5 and if was very quite. Nice light traffic. It wasn't very busy, but we did wait for our server for over 30 mins as we waited for a box or a check. Other than that. It was an overall great experience. We would go again.
I needed a spot for a small family gathering on a Saturday mid-afternoon with a good lunch and dessert menu. Stonewalls exceeded my expectations in their menu (especially desserts) and service. I do wish the back room was all table seating rather than booths for larger gatherings, but it worked.
We have eaten here several times and are never disappointed. This is the second time having the Prime Rib and must admit it is a favorite, a very nice cut and prepared beyond anything ever found in Rapid City. Staff was very friendly and engaging, were treated as special friends.
Will continue to recommend to all.
We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh baked bread right out of the brick oven. Artichoke/Spinach appetizer was great. Entree's were the Chicken Parmesan and the Stuffed Pork Chop; fantastic! For desert we savored the crème brule and the raspberry cobbler; delicious! The service was awesome, and the prices were very reasonable! Try it out!
We were a party of 4, including friends from out-of-town. We suggested this restaurant since we were interested in prime rib. Unfortunately only two smail slices were left; one of them was well done, not medium rare as requested. The chef should have told the waitress to suggest another item on the menu.
We had a belated Christmas gathering at Stonewalls recently and every single person in our large party was impressed. The food was delicious, some commented it was the best Prime Rib they had ever had, and the service was wonderful. Our server was polite, friendly, and on top of everything. None of us had to wait for refills and the pace of the meal was perfect. I am definitely recommending this restaurant to friends in the area!
Went to this place with my mom and wife for lunch. The atmosphere was great and it seemed like a pretty cool place. Lunch menu was pretty limited. We each got a burger an they were just okay. Pretty small and a bit overdone considering how we ordered them. I've heard good things about the dinner menu here and particularly the pizzas but they don't serve pizzas at lunch time.
