Good food, great service, and nice atmosphere! My coworker ordered the scallops and I had the Oxtail. They were both delicious and also tried their housemade donuts. It’s great but I was too full to appreciate it fully! I would come back here for sure!
Great place to eat and enjoy the evening outside on the patio!!!
Our first visit was super - made us sad we had not tried it sooner. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was flawless.
We were first time diners and left very impressed. Dillon took great care of us. The Chef's pizza of the day was as billed - awesome. Best pizza in SLC. But that was just appetizer. Their in house pasta is fantastic, rich and incredibly flavorful sauce. No room for dessert - next time as we definitely will return.
One of my favorites! I always recommend this place to friends who are visiting.
Normally, I would recommend this restaurant on any day but Sunday. For a Sunday, the idea of trying different pizzas was nice, but our seating area left us with the last of any selections, with only 1 or 2 pieces of pizza left to sample and we had a larger group. Not only were the choices limited, they were often cold. Our service on the Sunday was also subpar.
On other visits, we received great service and the food was amazing.
Dinner with a friend. Wine recommendations were perfect. I had black pasta with lobster, my husband had a shrimp dish and our friend had the margarita pizza.
My husband said his dish was a bit too salty but the pizza and pasta were well done and enjoyed.
I have had the spaghetti bolognese on a previous visit and it is FABULOUS!
Had dinner here for our 23-year anniversary. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer, Black Tagliatelli pasta w/lobster claw and the pizza of the day. We brought our own bottle of champagne, but the wine list is stacked with lots of goodies.
My husband saw a Facebook ad for Stoneground which prompted him to look at their website. He liked what they had to offer, so we gave them a try! Samuel, our server, took great care of us! He's very personable & all of his recommendations were spot-on!!! We loved the foccacino, the beet salad was excellent, & all entrees were great! We wanted to try the oxtail, but they had sold out of it the day before. Next time, cuz we'll definitely be looking forward to our next visit to Stoneground Kitchen! One last note, the doughnuts!!!!! Be sure to save some room for dessert!
As always - fabulous service, food and ambience
Fabulous place. I arrived A little early and she was able to seat me right away. I didn't realize they had such a nice patio and was pleased to hear they had already received a spot for me outside. Wait staff was lovely and attentive, took great care of a lone diner even though they had several larger tables. Good though small list of wines by the glass. House salad was delicious and creative, the risotto was also super creative and tasty - though on the salty side for me. And a Huge portion! At first it looked artfully cuddled on one side of the plate, allowing for a lovely green smear of minty-hinted pesto, but under the bounty of tasty asparagus were a variety of mushrooms (a few morels) and a massive amount of risotto!. Plenty to share, I'd say. But a wonderful concept.
This place is phenomenal! I've been twice and each time I walked away so glad I went. The service is outstanding and perfectly timed, and the food couldn't have been better. The group I was with all raved that everything was out of this world fantastic.
It has such a cool, laid back vibe, but you're well cared for and attended to. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly.
I highly recommend this establish for any occasion.
Definitely one of the better places in SLC. Food is good, restaurant has a nice vibe and buildout, service is friendly and attentive. Not common in SLC.
I went with my friend to have dinner. We were welcomed from the beginning of our experience. The server was great, fun and wittie. The Chorizo pizza was heaven!
we will go back many times.
I always thought this was a simple pizza place. Even their pizza surprised me it was so creative and wonderful. I will definitely return and maybe get their lasagna again!
The food is delicious. We all love the ambiance and view of the city.
Parking is always dicey but so far I’ve slways snagged a spot.
Stoneground is a lovely spot, nice enough without being stuffy, yet casual. We hadn't been for awhile and were sad to see that some of our favorite dishes were no longer on the menu.
Kudos to this restaurant! The chef and staff are 5 star quality.
My husband and I LOVE Stoneground. The service is always above and beyond, especially when we are lucky enough to get Hannah as your waitress. The food. The food is so good. The lasagna is out of this world. The Black Tagliatelle and the pork tenderloin are some my favorite dishes on the planet. Their Sunday supper is so fun and delicious. I have nothing but good things to say! One of my favorite restaurants in SLC.
Birthday Dinner with my parents. Delightful and Delicious!
Our second time there and it is excellent. The variety and creativity of the dishes are amazing. Service provided by Joel and Hannah were top shelf. We will go back again and again!
We met friends from Virginia who were passing through Salt Lake. Parking is convenient and the restaurant is neat. We ordered two soup and salad combos and a few Thursday specials (meatball Grande). Service was prompt and attentive and the food very good. Prices were reasonable. A great place for lunch in the downtown area of Salt Lake City. Highly recommend.
Great service. Food was wonderful!!!!
Arrived a little early for our reservation and even though it was prom night they were able to seat us right away. The polenta tots as an appetizer were great and I can't recommend the black taglietelle enough. This was our first time at Stoneground but we'll be back
So..so..GOOD! We were heading to see Hamilton and wanted to try someplace we hadn't been to before the show. We were hoping that Stoneground Kitchen would be as good as the reviews we'd read and it met and exceeded our expectations. My go to in order to determine if an Italian restaurant is worth a second trip is lasagna. Stoneground's was perfection. It takes a little longer as they make it from scratch rather than just heating it up out of a huge pan made prior. My husband had the black tagliatelli (the signature dish) and it was amazing. You can't go wrong with either. We also managed to scarf down Focaccino (which comes straight out of the oven to your table), Braciole Crudio, and the house salad. Whatever you do, come hungry - you don't want to miss trying everything you can. We'll be back!
The lasagna is the best in SLC! Love it!
Everything was great except the service was delayed. Our water and beers ran dry multiple times, with multiple refill requests (three requests alone were made for the water). Also, we had to request bread for the table twice as well as silverware with our soups/salads.
Lastly, three of our four dinner meal came out about 4-5 minutes before the final plate arrived.
This service was awkward for a business dinner.
Black tagliatelle was delicious. Super cute setting with candles and fireside dining.
Our appetizers were wondrous. The service (thanks Dillon) was unbeatable. The fact that there was a food allergy to work with-did not flummox them at all, but instead they were ready to get creative and made great suggestions. Which is something rarely seen.
We’re all ready to come back and try more of the menu.😋
This is my second time eating here and I've loved it both times. I highly recommend this spot to anyone, and I definitely recommend the Black Tagliatelli! This dish isn't for anyone worried about calories but if you like a creative, highly flavorful pasta and seafood dish...this is the dish for you! I absolutely love this dish. My wife had Puttanesca and our friends had one of the pizzas and Tortellacci and everyone loved their dishes. They have a great outdoor patio that is great for outdoor dining and makes you feel like you're in a peaceful setting even though you're in the middle of the city. Its quiet on the patio and has a real chic / modern flare/vibe to it. We really enjoy this restaurant and will continue to go back regularly. Food is fresh and flavorful. Great place!
Overall very good. Draft beer was flat so bottled beer was a better choice. Tasty appetizers especially the clams.
We were in SLC (traveled from Pittsburgh) for the marathon. Had dinner at the Stoneground. It was an overall great experience. Our waiter (Dillicious) was fantastic... the food was awesome. The hostess was friendly, welcoming. A wonderful time. Thanks!
Dillion our server was wonderful as usual.
The food was tasty, however the reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 because the Black tagliatelle was little bit more runny as it should and the feccocia bread was not baked properly. In both cases the flavor was not compromised.
I love Stoneground Kitchen - it's my favorite restaurant in SLC. It's always a recommendation for date nights, special occasions, and when friends and family come into town. The ambiance (exposed wood and Edison bulbs galore) is trendy and upscale, the food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Especially that puttanesca and the donuts. YUM
Did a group date, it was very nice. I was kinda disappointed in my scallops. The value wasn’t there and it was a little dry. Everything else was great!
I decided to try this restaurant after finding it on open table. The pasta was delicious!
Great restaurant. Food quality was really good and very flavorful. They make their own pasta! Its a little pricey though.
We had two appraisers and two entrees, all four plates were fantastic!
We will be returning hopefully sooner than later.
Fantastic service! Great food! The risotto is the best !
