We could not have had a better experience. We were seated on time, our servers and hostess took care of everything, and the food was delicious.
Lived downtown pretty close to stoneground kitchen. Walked past many times but never went. I took my girlfriend there last Saturday. It was a great experience. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. Parking in the back but plenty of free parking on the south side of Washington square on the weekend.
Four in our party: I had the Black Tagliatell and it was outstanding. Wait staff was excellent and ambiance was both upscale and charming. Lively conversation so probably not the best place for a first date. Yes, we'll be back.
Great night for a double date. Delicious dinner and ambiance.
I really like this place. Alas, not every dish you get will be awesome. It’ll be good. It’ll be fresh. I keep coming back. But, it’s a bit spendy for what you get.
My experience at Stoneground Kitchen was wonderful. Loved the food, loved the wine, loved the server. Definitely sit outside!
Food and service was great and timely. Atmosphere was cozy and it was easy to hear and talk.
My boyfriend and I came here for a Saturday night date on a whim and it was one of the best nights of our lives! We had wonderful bottles of wine, phenomenal food and the service was exceptional. Courtney, our server, was knowledgeable, attentive and yet not too overbearing! The atmosphere/view on the patio was stunning as well. The rest of the staff was great! They were all smiles and very friendly! Would highly recommend the pork tenderloin and the Margherita pizza! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you Stoneground Kitchen xoxo
My first visit, but not my last! We loved everything! It was delicious and a great vibe!
Service is bad and food is just ehhhh.
Dinner before a concert
We had the squid ink tagliatelle and it was spectacular. We will be going back again.
This place is upstairs - was confused with what was downstairs and thought I picked the wrong place. Fear not, once you get seated the service and food would make a trip back to SLC worth the trip alone. Will be back.
Terrific innovative cuisine. Most interesting Italian wines I have ever seen for a relatively smaller wine list. Dillian was a very knowledgeable server.
This is fast becoming my favorite place in Salt Lake City. The staff is excellent, the food is creative and executed to perfection. The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant.
Anytime I have something to celebrate, Stoneground is my go-to place. First, I know that all my guests are going to love the food, service and overall dining experience. The staff, from the hostess to you very knowledgeable wait staff is a very pleasant atmosphere. I would highly recommend also having lunch, it’s economical and delicious. You can’t beat that.
Delicious spot for pasta, pizza and tons of other yummy options. Sat on the outdoor patio which is lovely when the weather is right! Great cocktails, good ambiance, and fun night
Okay place- did their family style dining and it was basically all pizza and only one pasta dish. Wish we went on a non-family style night.
It was a great meal and the service was excellent. We were on our way to a concert and let them know we were in a bit of a hurry and they were wonderful about getting us out in plenty of time. The food was excellent. We were with another couple and they also said they will definitely come back.
Always love dining at Stoneground! The service is excellent and if the food is delicious. Favorite dining spot in SLC!
Decided to eat here based on the reviews. Sat outside on the patio. There was only another table of two sitting outside.
The food we ordered were really tasty - mixed salad, black tagliatelle and pizza with duck sausage (can’t remember the name). Fresh pasta tossed in rich cream sauce - so good. Thin crust pizza - delish.
Service has room for improvement. Discovered lipstick mark on one of the glasses. Informed the waitress - no apologies. No follow by her on whether the food was good, whether everything’s fine. She did ask the other table though. The bill came in a hurry - we didn’t ask for it.
We walked through the restaurant when we left. It was half full. Not busy at all.
As always fantastic experience from the Stoneground staff. We had requested patio seating but the place was packed and we ended up being offered the often forgotten two place table that faces the street which fit the occasion perfectly. Food was fantastic as always, service was prompt and courteous, and the pricing is well worth the quality of experience served.
Disappointed in the quality, service, the taste of the food and the moscow mules were terrible. We have always had great food and service here but the last time we went it was not good and the menu changed that day so nobody seemed to know what was on it. Our food was not piping hot and my order was wrong! When I said so the server made a face at me and DID not get me what I ordered. I'm really hoping that this was all because of the new menu and it was all new for the staff.
The Moscow Mule was in a copper coated mug instead of an actual copper mug. The service was lack luster. My ID was checked thrice. My drink order arrived late in the meal. It looks like an upscale place but the service and the food are not especially great, and the prices are too high for the poor performance.
Had great food and really enjoyed the Sunday family style menu. We must have sampled 10 different types of pizzas! They are thin crust and the pieces aren't large so it was perfect. Highly recommended.
The food was amazing and the service was good. We will definitely be returning!
Incredible!!! Excellent, this place is the real deal!!!
We usually go to Fleming’s or Spencer’s for our Anniversary but found this gem and couldn’t be happier! They have the best meat and cheese platter we’ve ever had, the steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned and tender. The pesto risotto was earthy, creamy and oh-so-satisfying. The cocktails are cozy and make it easy to melt into the romantic, casual atmosphere. There’s no question why the fluffy, cinnamon sprinkled tiramisu has won best in state for ten years. It was a light and delecatable ending to what I thought was a perfect meal.
Amazing and create food. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Service is impeccable! Samuel made us feel like we were his best friends!
We had a great anniversary here! Our waiter was friendly, gave great recommendations, and checked in to make sure we were happy. We sat on the deck and the misters made it so that it was the perfect temperature. The food was delicious too!
This is our second time to Stoneground and we were thrilled with the food and ambiance at both visits. We will definitely go again. Try the Sunday Supper as it's a fun alternative to selecting off the menu.
I have dined here at least 10 times in the last year. This will likely be the last.
First, there was no air conditioning on a 90 degree night. Next we were sat and waited 20 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter, who dropped off a bottle of water (did not pour for us). Then he went to leave...we had to stop him to order drinks. He returned, still without drinks, and bluntly asked, “what are you going to eat?” At this point we are sweating, we have water-no drinks, and we are being condescended to. What a place...but wait it got worse!
After we ordered we remarked to each other about how terrible our experience was. Then out of no where a woman comes to our table, maybe a manager, and says, “we are having a tough night, don’t swear at my servers.” Funny thing: we never said a cross word to the server.
Meal was still north of $100, and that will be spent elsewhere in the future. I will relate this experience with all of our friends in the downtown area and the Aves.
OUTSTANDING service and creative beautiful dishes.
The food was great! Our waiter, Samuel was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the decor and atmosphere. BUT DANG...it was SO hot in there (we were seated inside the main dining area). We were fanning ourselves with the wine menu. Other than that, we loved the food and service. Will defiantly be coming back!
Samuel our waiter, was wonderful! Very personable, conversed with my 12 Yr son. I accidentally brought home the wrong receipt so he called me I was so embarrassed. But they were able to add my tip without me coming back which was great.
Really fun Sunday night family dinner
Fair wait staff. Not very attentive, but okay. Also the portion of the special pasta was tiny. I went away hungry.
Third visit, third excellent experience. Love this place!
Food was excellent but the blonde waitress was pretty rude.
This was only our 2nd time dining at Stoneground & it's a favorite of ours already!!! Both times we dined, our servers (this time Hannah & last time Samuel) were great! Professional yet fun & great recommendations! We love the tomato-basil soup, focaccino, beet salad, any pasta dish, & do have the donuts!!!! They are worth it, even if you're full!!! My husband isn't a fan of driving into downtown SLC from Sandy, but he was the one that suggested we make a 2nd trip. He's decided we've found a great spot worth a little commute! See you soon Hannah & Samuel!!!
