Great food and service. Highly recommend jalapeno biscuits & gravy.
The host at the front couldn’t find my reservation and was rude.
Our waitress, Casie, was outstanding!
Noisy, slow service
Excellent service staff. Top notch for sure. We were visiting for a conference, and will definitely come back again.
Very solid lunch with excellent tacos and salads. Service was average due to a large lunch time crowd, but overall a good meal.
Good selection. Good food. The tofu bowl was delicious.
Beautiful breakfast buffet- ask for
Blue Corn Meal Pancakes -YUM
Fresh watermelon mint water so refreshing
Great Value for quality and variety. Eat inside - the birds are pesty. Grounds @ JW are incredible
Everything was wonderful. Yvonne was our server . She was great. Cant wait to go back.
My friends and I have been going to Stonegrill for breakfast on Saturdays before screenings of the Met Opera at Desert Ridge. The menu is wonderful (we haven't tried the buffet yet), the service is perfect, and the food quality if very high. Everything is fresh and perfectly prepared, even poached eggs. All of the servers are professional and friendly, and they are the same team every week, which is nice. Most of the time we have breakfast on the beautiful patio, but this week was a little chilly, and inside was nice, too. Even though we are locals, it makes us feel like we're on vacation, walking through the lovely lobby and ending up in this pretty setting. We have also come for cocktails and appetizers before concerts at the Musical Instrument Museum which is close by. I would recommend it for both kinds of occasions. We're happy to have found it as our go-to place! Thanks to the chefs and servers!!!!
Good wait staff with decent selection on the menu. Usually I find restaurants in Marriott way over priced but this was not too bad.
There were not many guests on a Sunday night and, being a big hotel restaurant, we anticipated the price would probably be higher than the experience warranted. We were WRONG. The food was fantastic - absolutely delicious - and the Margaritas were awesome! Our waiter could not have been more pleasant - very helpful, attentive and friendly. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Very disappointed. Was there on a work trip with another peer in the business and they sat us by the fireplace. When they turned on the fireplace it was not working... three times we had to get up and move away from our seats as the gas fumes were overwhelming! The manager and server witnessed the entire episode with the engineers not being able to make the fireplace work.
We kept complaining about the small and nuisance while we were trying to have dinner. They never once apologized for this! We both are business event planners and we will never go back to this place.
We finally left - very poor service and care for their guest. Really to bad since the hotel is outstanding.
Great service! Staff were friendly and cheerful. Nice decor and kept very clean.
Busy holiday night so somethings are to be expected. Ordered prime rib and it was a very tough cut of meat, nicely seasoned but something you would expect of a large business luncheon than a sit down dinner. Service was a bit short staffed given the holiday and they trying to do their best to accommodate. Menu descriptions far exceeded the actual deliverable of food’s quality. Paid parking even with valet was kind of a surprise.
The food was good, but I wanted to be wowed when I spend $20 plus on breakfast. I guess you have to expect to pay extra when you choose to eat at hotel restaurants.
Service was great, Cassie was awesome. Cost was high for what you get.
Beautiful location with good food and great service.
We had a fabulous family dinner. Our waitress was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of the menu & very personable, especially with my 1 year old nephew.
The service and the food were terrible. Burgers had no flavor and were dry. The staff was not friendly we waited so long for the server we left without dessert.
The flavors of the soup of the day and tofu bowl were so yummy! Go and see Dave. His service and recommendations were spot on. Will come back!
Food was good and enjoyed eating outside
Well below par. The food was entirely unremarkable, the wine was stale. For a hotel of this character, we were negatively surprised.
We were very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the Stone Grill as typically we find hotel restaurants overpriced and average at best. The service was fantastic and both our meals were delicious. I had the Salmon and my husband had the short ribs. We will definitely make a return visit the next time we are in town.
Had a decent time for my wife's birthday. However there were only two tables occupied at the time and we were placed right next to each other as if it was about to get busy.
Great food, staff was very confused on which tables were who’s. Waited at least 20 minutes for a refill. Staff was friendly though ! I’d go back because I’m not picky and understand everyone has bad days
Had dinner here upon arrival. With a three hour time difference for our bodies, it was convenient. We were one of two tables at 6 PM. Service was fine, food was ok. Pricey for the venue. Ate in Steak 44 and EDDIE V's for a bit more.
Food is always good even if it's on the pricey side. Our server was terrible and rude and we ended up complaining about her.
Disappointed in our meal here. Hostesses at the front were flustered trying to handle seating the 7pm reservations. There were 5 of them, shouldn't be overwhelming. Dining room felt very stale, not warm and/or cozy. They use this space for a buffet as well as ala carte which is what we chose. Food was just "ok", service was good though.
We appreciated the ambiance, which made us feel at ease. The servers were terrific, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We had a light lunch. Later, we ordered nachos and churros for snacks at our meeting. The churros are incredibly good! If you have to spend an afternoon someplace for a business meeting, Stonegrill sure helps make it pleasant!
Brunch bar at $28 totally not worth it. By the time I got my basic eggs, sausage, potatoes and toasted my bread, the eggs and potatoes were cold . Stick with ordering off the regular menu.
I had the flan which was not typical of the original taste but very good and unique. Ambience great, service quick, hostess fun and accommodating. Not crowded. Seated right away.
The food and service was below average for a resort hotel like the JW Marriott. Disappointed.
Made reservations for my husband's bday. I had left them a note about the same. We were pleasantly surprised when our server (sweetest person ever ) brought champagne glasses & dessert for us. I was really impressed that they took note of my request. And another reason for my 5 star was the server. She was a genuinely sweet person & made our evening very pleasant. Coming to food, were both vegetarian . I had ordered enchiladas minus meat & was expecting cheese enchilada, but chef made scrumptious meal made of fresh harvest vegetables. It was the best enchiladas I've ever had. Would highly recommend this place to everyone!
Service was excellent and very family friendly!
Excellent buffet! Outside seating option. Birds can be pesky but I've been around worse.
Service was bad because it took forever. We waited so long to even get served water, and so on. It shouldn't have taken forever considering there were only two other couples there.
Food was fine. service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. We had to get up to get our own glasses, then our own appetizer plates. Basically we were on our own most of the meal.
Stone Grill is the main restaurant at the JW Marriott in Desert Ridge. We had breakfast here and it was an excellent meal. The blue corn pancakes are tasty and the drink menu with seasonal juices as a nice surprise. They offer a full breakfast buffet for 28 a person as well as the al a carte menu. The view is of the pool area and resort and very peaceful early in the morning for a quiet meal. The service was very friendly and efficient. Prices are a little on the high side for a breakfast spot in Phoenix but to be expected with being in a resort. Overall a great meal and well worth partaking if you are staying at the JW.
