Considering the price and location, I expected better service and food quality. It was ok. Not great and not bad, just ok
Casual restaurant with outdoor seating. Food was good, service was excellent. I would definitely go back.
Wonderful service by Rebekah. Food was great - much better than usually found in resort restaurants. We chose Stonegrill because of a great gluten free menu that one diner needed, but the entire group loved their meals.
We were having dinner with friends celebrating Fourth of July and trying to have a conversation. A group next to us were coming and going and getting louder all the time - impossible to carry on a conversation without having to try to yell. We paid our bill and left. Will probably not be back for a long time.
Great service and excellent food. Made my daughter's birthday wonderful! Thank you.
Amazing food and outstanding service! We were quite early for our reservation but the ladies usher us to our table immediately. Jessica greeted us right away. We ordered our drinks and the calamari which even our four year old enjoyed. The short ribs and pork pibil were beautifully presented and tenders. The coconut flan and expresso cake were excellent. Thank you all for such a wonderful and memorable evening!
Food was good and service was excellent. I wish I could remember my server's name. She was so sweet and full of positive vibes and remembered my name every time I came in for a meal. She is a treasure and Stonegrill is luck to have her.
I would recommend this restaurant to a friend only if they were having the buffet. They just do not seem good at menu orders at this time of day. I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times for breakfast. Each time I have ordered off the menu and every time my food has been cold and not prepared as requested and it is as simple as eggs.
Ate here while attending a conference. Adequate for the location but the other resort options and off-site are better.
Absolutely the worse dinning experience and horrible food quality. NEVER go there!!!
Limited selection for brunch only station was for an omelet. A very small mimosa that was extra cost $12 and did not include a second glass, nor was asked if I wanted another with my meal.
No wine corkage...we brought a nice bottle to celebrate but they were not allowed to open under their rules. Service was just ok, was a lot of money to spend for just ok food.
Great service, waitier was very attentive but also mindful that we were having a business meeting. Food was great and loved the service scape
This is my go to place for brunch. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food refreshing beverages and reasonably priced too!
The pollo milanesa was ok, a little too much breading. The cochinita pipil was saltier than it should have been, although the meat was very tender, it was a 2 out of 10 for flavor due to the saltiness.
We were here for multiple breakfast and a dinner and were pleased with all. I will start with breakfast- lovely outside setting and across from an open grassy area that the kids can run and throw the football around in. I loved the salmon tartine ( pretty and flavorful), egg white omelet and French toast were also great and good portion sizes. The Greek yogurt with agave and pear was an added bonus.
Dinner was outstanding. Again sat outside under the white lights and near the fire pits. We started with the queso dip off the appetizer menu and the jalapeño cheddar biscuits which were provided to all - we loved both. Then I ate the short ribs which were amazing and such a large portion I couldn’t finish it. My son had the cochinita Pible which was so flavorful and tender. My husband had the bison burger with fries ( loved the fries. The bison burger was ok but no where near as amazing as the other two entrees). No room for dessert. Definitely would recommend!
Great food, great ambiance. I was impressed with the variety on the menu. Tacos are fantastic.
Breakfast buffet is incredible! Dinner was mediocre, but customer service from management is excellent.
Braised pork and a bottle of Kris Pinot Grigio were fabulous. Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer was spicy, yet really good. My husband had the chicken cutlet, which he really liked. Ate at 6:15 and hardly anyone there. Service excellent.
Not great. Sandwiches have way more cardboard type rolls than substance. Burger ok but a lot of bun. Meritage way better option on property.
Jessica was wonderful and we sat outside near the fire beautiful night with good food!
4/14/19 We came to Stonegrill on Valentine's day for my mom's birthday and the service and staff could not have been any more friendly and provided superb service. Thank you for making our birthday breakfast buffet amazing! They even surprised my mom with a birthday dessert just by the fact that I put on our online reservation that the occasion we were celebrating was a "birthday"; complete surprise! Sincere thank you's to everyone!
Food was average at best. Service was slow and disjointed. Many attempts to serve food from other tables to our table. Taking the order seemed to be confusing. It had to be repeated and double checked several times.
Food was ok. Nothing special
We had 3 different meals here during our stay, a breakfast, a lunch, and a dinner, and all were great! The soups and the roasted vegetable omelet were my favorites, but everything we had was good. Service was good as well. Definitely not your typical hotel restaurant.
We hope that we caught the waitstaff on night where they were unexpectedly understaffed and that perhaps the kitchen had a bad night. Granted, it is a restaurant at a huge Marriott property, but there are far too many other options available in this area of Scottsdale, and far better options on site. Disappointed.
Roma was a great server. Food was great, wine was great but some other diners were very loud and obnoxious. Otherwise we had a nice time.
We were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday...the street tacos variety was fun to eat and the deserts were sumptuous. Our waitress "Jessica" was an amazing server! Our family of 5 had much deserved FUN!
We chose this resort dining venue because they were offering a special Christmas menu. Sadly, the atmosphere is not very warm or celebratory. Service was inconsistent. The components of the duck special were piled into a bowl. We could only imagine how much better the meal would have been with some creative plating.
Christmas Day brunch/lunch. Indifferent service. Had to ask several times for parts of the order. Restaurant was not that busy. Also, we had eaten the nice before with good food AND good server. Neither was that good this time. Silverware dirty and menu was almost exactly identical to the dinner menu last night-which would be fine if there were a lot of choices—but that was not the case. I was ready to leave a really big tip because it was Christmas-sorry just substandard service. Got regular tip-I would not go there again
Food was over cooked. Expensive dinner. Not worth the value
Food was very good. Limited choices. Very good server. Pricey for a dinner where no alcohol was purchased
Opted to have dinner one night during our recent 3 night stay at the JW for our Anniversary. We have been to the Stonegrill before a few years ago and absolutely enjoyed our time, so we figured we would give it another go. Our waiter was extremely short and to the point. Basically, what do you want to eat, and I'll be back with it. I ordered the New York Strip. After one bite, I had to send it back. This was by far the toughest meat ever ordered. I then ordered the Short Rib as a replacement. It was basically pot roast. My wife and I enjoyed her shrimp and grits. As a token of our anniversary, our waiter brought out some Flan. after one bite, we paid the tab and went to have coffee and desert off the property. Believe we will stick to having breakfast here and thats it.
My wife and I had reservations at the restaurant and hotel for our wedding anniversary. Both the hotel and restaurant were extremely slow this weekend. When we arrived for our 6:00pm reservation the restaurant was completely empty except for the very back room next to the kitchen. We were seated in this room next to two groups each with nearly a dozen people and many small children. It was so noisy that we couldn't hear each other talk.
We asked the waitress if we could move and she placed us in the middle of the restaurant where it was very quite. As we sat there we noticed all new guests that arrived were seated in the same room we were originally in, yet few people were placed in the remaining 2/3rds of the restaurant.
The food was very good and the waitress was excellent but the ambiance was non existent for the majority of guests who were all placed in the same back room.
The hostess greeted us warmly, asked about our table preferences, and conducted us to our booth immediately. Our server was personable and efficient, our orders were accurately fulfilled, and the food was delicious. Our overall experience was excellent.
Just arrived a few hours earlier from long road trip and needed some dinner. Our waitress was friendly, hospitable and attentive; although the kitchen was slow, inconsistent and ill-prepared.
Service was excellent. Noise was uncomfortably loud. Food was good but nothing special.
The food was well prepared and tasty. Excellent service.
Delicious soup and we enjoyed our fish dinners. I wanted different sides and there was no problem switching vegetables. Shared a delicious key lime tart. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful.
