Food was quite good and the environment is lovely. Unfortunately, the service was sub-par at best. Our waiter was great but the restaurant was in desperate need of additional staff. We waited a good 20 minutes after finishing our meal for the check - our waiter was apologetic but the damage had been done.
The servers and hosts were nice but we received two incorrect items - chardonnay instead of cabernet, choc ice cream rather than the strawberry we ordered. Someone also tried to deliver someone else’s dinner to our table. Very impressive hotel, gorgeous setting but the worst part was the food. My husband said his salmon was ok but I thought I was coming down with Covid - everything I tried tasted weird and bland. Even the cheesecake tasted boring. The chocolate sauce was black and runny and the caramel sauce looked like bbq sauce. Feeling better about my own cooking after eating there!
As always, excellent food!
Did an early test run before mothers day and was so happy and pleased! Definitely going back, food was amazing and staff was as well.
I reserved a table for 6 on the patio on Open Table in order to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. I Received multiple confirmations via text and email from Opentable regarding our reservation. When we arrived, we were told they did not have a reservation, and no availability on patio, and that it would be 20 minutes for such a table.
Opted to sit inside. After ordering, it took over 40 minutes to get our food. Service was not good and food was not hot.
I frequent this place often, and have always had great service and food. Today was not good.
I enjoyed the food and appreciated the great service. The setting could have used more ambiance. I was sat facing the room where they set out the morning breakfast buffet and there were buckets/basins stacked and visible. A large party of 12 or so was sat behind me and nobody controlled their volume. They were loud and rude.
Food was really good! We loved the nice ambiance on the patio.
We enjoyed our dinner at the JW Marriott Stone Grill restaurant. Being a resort based restaurant their menu selections were limited, but we were very happy with our selections. Our entrees were salmon and scallops, both with a mild spice flavor profile. Both very tasty. We also shared a green salad with goat cheese, candied nuts and a nice light citrus dressing. The service was excellent.
Attention serving staff featuring unique dishes
As always we enjoyed our food
Family breakfast for 6. We were surprised by the variety of options on the brunch menu. Chicken and waffles was tasty and well presented. The breakfast buffet was not available due to Covid, which was disappointing.
The food was tasteless. Burrito was mostly potatoes. Spinach on eggs Benedict. No sauce on breakfast sandwich. Toast was cold. Would recommend to a friend for beauty of facility, but not for the food. Overpriced for quality. Very different from the last couple of times we’ve been.
Food was good and had a nice setting where the kids could run around the grounds.
Great food, service, and value.
Enjoyed our dinners!
Great breakfast. Recommend outside seating if available
Loved sitting outside on the patio and both I and my guest ordered the short ribs. They were wonderful!
Great service, nice ambiance. Would definitely dine there again.
Uninteresting wine list and No vegan options but a Lovely setting
Food is just okay. Nothing impressive. Good drinks, great atmosphere.
The reservation we booked thru open table was actually when they close on Sunday. But Dave warmly greeted us and did not make us feel rushed. The chefs stayed to accommodate us as well. We will be back due to the high level of service
Breakfast at Stone Grill was actually the best part of this resort for us, did not have an opportunity to use any of the other amenities as we were there for non-vacation reasons. The food was good, excellent actually, service very quick and the people very friendly. It’s a wonderful thing that the Marriott gives out the coupons for breakfast because while it was delicious we would’ve had a hard time paying $60 for a couple eggs and bacon no juice no muffins… if you have an opportunity to enjoy breakfast here and you get a coupon for it, all the better! They are great at telling you it includes the tip but honestly step up and give the guy an extra five, they deserve it!
This is a great breakfast place. I never found a bad item and morning drinks are great!
My dinner ( short ribs) was excellent, however my husband salmon was very average. Our waiter was not the best - never offered us the specials. Outdoor ambiance was lovely. For the dinner we received, (including 1 beer) the price was a little high.
We had breakfast on the outdoor patio and if that is preferred, when booking on OpenTable you should request Outdoor Dining. Many people were being turned away because they did not have reservations. We had great service and enjoyed our All American and Breakfast Sandwich. With it being our Anniversary, the server brought a brownie on a Happy Anniversary plate and it was delicious. I would recommend dining at Stonegrill, but be aware that reservations on Open Table are basically needed to dine with them.
Stone Grill did not have my Open Table reservation.
I showed up precisely on time.
Open Table mis-represented the menu. It was prix fixed $75.00 per person.
We walked out.
I realize the menu is a shortened version due to Covid-19, but with a full resort, it is time to expand the menu, hire more servers and start offering room service again. Our meal was good once it arrived, but service was slow due to having only 2 servers for the entire outside patio. My husband had the 1/2 Chicken and I had the Scallops and both were very good. We also had a cup of the Tortilla soup and that was delicious also. It seems their reservation system isn’t working well because there were people being turned away at the door due to not having reservations, and there were 10 empty tables open. When we asked the hostess, she said they were all reserved for guests with reservations. After having our meal and lingering alittle with a glass of wine, we looked and all those same tables were still empty. I would think 15 minutes after reservation time, if the guests don’t arrive, the table is given out to those walking in.
It was a wonderful breakfast!!!
Waiter made recommendations and was spot on. Food was delicious
The food was fresh and the service was attentive. It was really nice eating outdoors.
The eggs took an hour to arrive, the restaurant was about 20% full and our server never checked in to see you the food was to bring needed items
We did not know menus were On a QR code, which was not shown at our table. We waited 20 minutes for a glass of water. The waitress did apologize and it did not seem to o be her fault. It was very understaffed. Some food did not come until we asked a few times. The food was pretty good. Just hard to pay $140 for breakfast when lots went wrong.
It was unusually disappointing. Two of the four of us ordered a new york strip steak. The steak was of low quality. Very chewy, almost like a low grade of meat. Certainly not worth 36 dollars. Salmon was okay, but nothing amazing. The server was enthusiastic but there was a slight language barrier. The desert was just awful. Crem brule and a cheescake. Way short of our expectations.
Excellent brunch! Beautiful outdoor seating! Would highly recommend. Resort pricing.
Very underwhelmed by this restaurant. Had a very pleasant server but it was jus impossible to outrun the atmosphere and fact that we were seated in what was clearly an ‘overflow’ room. Not the kind of setting for a $20/glass of wine, food was okay. Beautiful hotel, jus disappointed.
Nice restaurant. Very good atmosphere outside. The service was slow. They do not have enough servers. I will go back, and hope it gets better.
Great fresh food with attentive service and pleasant staff!
Excellent NY Strip Steak. The bread served with the meal was amazing as well! No room for dessert, although it looked very tempting.
Always good food and great service!!
We missed our brunch reservation at another restaurant and I took my family here (again) out of desperation. Never. Again. This remains one of the worst Marriott’s I have ever been to. Corporate REALLY needs to send someone out here. If you want to compete in the Valley, you simply cannot be this mediocre. The food is always cooked average at best. Presentation = IHOP. Service, likewise, average at best. Moreover, invest in a freaking coffee machine so you can offer more than simply ‘fresh brewed coffee.’ And in today’s day and age, you need to offer more than just ordinary dairy milk with coffee. The attention to detail at Stone Grill is downright awful. I’m sorry, but there is no other way to put it. I’ve been here seven or eight times, both brunch and dinner, because I live nearby - but never again. This is a three star type restaurant. Anyone who rates it well clearly doesn’t get out much.
