New Carrollton's StoneFish Grill is the second location for this unique seafood restaurant. Since the doors first opened in 2013, StoneFish Grill has taken much pride in providing both exceptional meals and service. The seafood dishes use only organic, fresh fish and locally grown ingredients.
StoneFish Grill's menu revolves around traditional seafood dishes with a modern twist, offering both local and exotic fish. Popular comfort foods include fish salmon tacos and the fried catfish. Non-seafood options such as half roasted chicken, New York strip and burgers are available for those not craving seafood that day. Pair your dish with one of the signature cocktails and your meal is complete.
Great location. Love the ambiance. The staff were helpful. Food was great. Best part was the live band!!!
Great food. Live entertainment around 10pm
My congratulations to the chef. The food is always consistent, very good and very well presented.
It just wasn't a good night. It took the 30 mins to receive our appertizers. I ordered muscles, half of the shells were empty. I informed the waitress who stated she couldn't do anything about and she got the manager. The manager was accommodating and apologetic and said he would take a percentage off. Our waitress was not as attentive as we would have like, especially given the fact that the restaurant was empty. We continuously waved here down for refills on drinks and to take our entree order. When the entree came, it was plethora of garlic in the food which made it inedible for my cousin. It definitely over powered the food. Needless to say we never ate. The manager did attempt to fix the issues, but we left. We spend about 2 hours there and only ate appetizers.Just was not a good experience.
The place has a lot of potential
When I arrived and stated my name for the reservation, "Joe" the manager knew exactly who I was from a phone call I'd made days before the event. He kindly introduced himself, and led us to our table. This was just the start of all positive things to follow through-out the night. We ended up having a few extra guests but, no problem...they just simply accommodated us without hesitation! With "Joe" the manager, great food, great service (sorry but, I can't remember our hostess' name), and an awesome live band, our birthday event was simply marvelous! Thanks Stonefish Grill....until the next time!
Was there for lunch. Very quiet with some tvs on. The place was pretty empty like 2 other tables dining. Not sure if it's new or what but ambience and menu did my quite stack up to its name.
I hate going to restaurants that are uncomfortable tables too close. Boring interior Good was ok. Hang out for locals.
We dined in the Bar area because we were told there would be a loud band playing live music in the dining room. I now have a new definition for loud! Even in the "other room" we couldn't speak with each other. TV's with sound on all around (on every wall) and LOUD music. We ordered an appetizer which we were told was the last one in the kitchen and after a 1/2 hour wait (during which other appetizers were served and cleared away) we were told that the appetizer was really sold out (read - it was served to someone else). While they comped 2 desserts to make up for it - it was indicative of the inability to serve their customers properly. We took the desserts to go because we couldn't wait to escape. Food was good but environment was so bad it was hard to enjoy.
The food was good and the staff we're very friendly. Good service. The band however overshadowed all. Although a good band they were way too loud. Could not talk to anyone without shouting. Might be okay as a hot spot, but we were going out for a nice dinner.
Loved the entertainment. The food was amazing. Would be nice if you could have an area to dance and market it that way to get more clientele. Atmosphere beautiful. I would come back but would love to see this place be more like a lounge restaurant. It would do great and you could start charging a cover charge after a certain time.
Definitely have potential but need to find other ways for marketing to keep the business floating.
