Always count on an amazing experience at Stoneburner. The food is always so good and the service is 5 stars! My go to when guests are in from out of town and want to experience one of the best neighborhood restaurants.
A charming atmosphere with delicious food. Just what your looking for !
I told the server that the portions for the price were outrageous. She said the chef was “very particular” which I assume meant that justified the price? I ordered a $15 salad that I could have eaten in 4 bites. Very pretty, tasty, but not a meal.
My wife and I love Stoneburner. It is our favorite restaurant. We don't normally go to the same place twice, but we've been there five times in the last 2 years and we love it every time.
Amazing food!
Portions ridiculously small for the price. We did let our waiter know this complaint and he comped us an appetizer. Very kind of him but probably wouldn’t come back. Just not worth the price.
It was good, miss the octopus, pizza was good though! Burrata was great app
Sat us at 8:15 on the dot which was nice. But no one came to the table to see if we’d like a drink, for any water, or an order. We left at 8:45 due to no service. Didn’t seem to busy, but I understand the pandemic. Despite that, someone should have came by at least to greet us.
Great food. Drinks are not so great. Stick with wine and food and you won't go wrong!
We always love eating here. The wait staff make you feel special and the food is always top notch. Make sure to order one of the veggie dishes, they are excellent.
Stoneburner did a great job given our current situation with COVID19.
First timer here, food and service were great during this crazy pandemic. Cocktails were nice and stiff while the roasted chanterelles small plate really set the bar. We ordered the salumi mole salami pizza which came out nice and hot. The marinara sauce was a little sweeter than expected but still was a great pizza! 10/10 would recommend for sure. We'll be back for more of the roasted chanterelles and cocktails. Also, love love loved the wine rack setup.
Met a friend for an early dinner and ended up staying for hours. The food was delicious. We weren’t rushed out - sat at our table catching up for 3 hours! The staff were courteous and attentive, but kept their distance for the most part throughout our meal. The signage was clear before entering and the health and safety policy was repeated upon being seated. This was my first dine-in experience after quarantine and it was outstanding, considering all fo the new changes and measures to social distancing now.
4 picky eaters, 4 incredibly happy satisfied customers
The food is amazing and these cooks know great flavor! Also, the drinks were well made and the pricing was decent. A little expensive, but worth it!
I think I would have enjoyed this experience much more had the lighting been a bit brighter, and had we chosen to come at a less busy time. However, the food was phenomenal and at real portion sizes. Easiest recommendation I have made in a long time.
Love the food!
We ordered 6 different items (starters, small and large plates) from the menu and not one of them was above average in taste or presentation. Service and ambiance were good, however. Wine list is outrageously expensive. Our group of five collectively were unimpressed and recommend that you explore other options for an expensive night out.
When we entered the restaurant, we were confronted by a female employee on the telephone who did not look up or greet us in any way. We stood before her for over 5 minutes without any acknowledgment of our presence. Another couple had been standing there before us. They, too, stood waiting for her to give us her attention. Finally, she got off the phone, did not apologize and still did not acknowledge our presence. She told the other couple to have a seat at the bar and finally showed us to our reserved table.
Fortunately, our waiter Ethan made up for the rude reception we received. Ethan took excellent care of us and, if we return, we'll be sure to ask for him.
We enjoyed the black cod and the salad of shaved brussel sprouts, quinoa, and peanuts with a Red Boat dressing.
I came here for the first time by mistake on Christmas Eve. The restaurant I had reservations was closed (yeap, you read it right) so I end up going to Stoneburner because it’s the only one that I could get seat without reservations (it’s at the bar but I couldn’t complain honestly). The food was DIVINE! So we came back with a friend that was in Seattle for just one day and it’s a bless! Great food, great service, great location. Everything about this place is amazing, will be coming back here many times. Highly recommended
A friend and I came to Stoneburner because we heard about the great food and ambiance. I live in Everett, but the food was ABSOLUTELY worth the drive down to Ballard. We ordered the garlic ciabatta bread, the dutch fries, roasted broccoli (this one was my FAVE, it was charred and slightly crunchy, with a lemon tahini sauce that was to die for), carbonara, and meatballs (there were collard greens underneath the meatballs that soaked up all the sauce - heavenly, I tell you). It was pricey for sure, but worth going to (honestly, I would order like 3 more servings of the broccoli, no lie) just for the experience. If you enjoy a once-in-a-while bougie dining experience with delicious food, definitely visit Stoneburner. And a great tip we got from our server, if you order one item from every category (their menu is divided into categories) and eat family style, you get to enjoy a wider variety of things, versus just ordering an entree for yourself.
Best breakfast EVER!
We were seated in the back corner of the bar and service was poor. It seemed as if everyone forgot about us because we had 5 different servers throughout our hour meal. There was no consistency in service and it took too long to get water, to order, to get our check, and for our cards to be processed.
Always a solid spot. The food and drinks are always top notch. There’s a great mix of pastas, veggies, and entrees that never get boring. The staff always know their stuff and make helpful suggestions.
Great dinner for Valentines.
Surprisingly family friendly. We liked being able to share dishes. We’ll be back.
Came here for brunch with some friends and we had a lovely time. It's a nice place and I love that they are trying out a creative menu, but the truth is, they could also use a little work here and there. I wish there was a "maybe" option instead of "yes/no" because I'm really split. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place, but there are A LOT of nice places in Seattle. They take reservations for brunch however, which is a big advantage and much appreciated.
To elaborate, the presentation is very good, and the food itself is very good. I think it is just a little overpriced for what you get and there are better brunch spots out there however. Overall I wasn't super impressed with the selection on the brunch menu. A lot of the items felt more like lunch/dinner (spaghetti, a burger - no, just a regular burger). I'm sure these items are great quality, but when your brunch menu is already very limited, this stuff leaves even less for those who actually came here for brunch and there isn't much that they will be excited about. I wish they had more sweet items on their menu too.
I was a little disappointed in my bloody mary. Needs more/better pickles/toppings and it tasted a little watered down.
My brunch itself was pretty tasty, but it was rather greasy and I was unable to finish it due to this reason. I had the corn cake brunch. I loved the flavor however (the arugula and cheese went great with the corn cake).
Everything was delicious! Service was great!
Really happy with all choices, and will be back for dinner. We tried brunch, but it wasn’t easy for a vegetarian and someone who doesn’t eat pork.
Food was delicious! went on a Saturday evening and it was full, but the wait was only 30 mins. They have a special menu of items available for the evening that sells fast- we went do dinner by 8pm and 2 of the entrees had sold out already. Highly recommend
I love Stoneburner but I was really disappointed in the special pizza. It was so oily that I could barely eat half. Took the rest home but when i tried to warm it up in the oven it was like a sponge with oil. I hope they are more careful next time. The rest of the group had the traditional pizzas and they were great. The service is always great and so is the ambiance.
We always love coming to Stoneburner. The staff knowledge of both wine and food is a well oiled machine!
Food ia good but a little overpriced.
I’ve eaten dinner at Stoneburner many times but had never been for brunch. There were 5 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. I definitely recommend.
Great spot for brunch with friends before hitting the farmers market.
Appreciated being asked if we had any food restrictions before being asked what we’d like to order. This is a nice restaurant but I did not expect to receive such little food for the amount it costs.
Stoneburner is always delicious and always enjoyable.
Stoneburner is one of our favourite all time restaurants. It never disappoints. We had a lovely time, and the food was delicious and the dishes and combinations of flavours so unique. Our only slight disappointments were being seated at a high table with stools, instead of a booth with seat bags, and the music was a bit loud
Our waiter Doug was fantastic! He went above and beyond expectations!
Had not been here in several years and it seemed quieter than remembered. But that may have been due to the very cold and snow-threatening weather. Menu has changed somewhat -- still some interesting and unusual dishes. The biscuits and chili-gravy were good, with a couple of caveats: the biscuits are big and dense and really needed the soft-fried egg to moisten them; the limited amount of chili-gravy wasn't sufficient by itself. The tuna dip and potato chip dish was excellent: a nicely smoked tuna taste to the dip and very flavorful, crisp chips to put it on. Satisfying!
