Stone Werks - Lincoln Heights Ratings and Reviews
Food was amazing the rotisserie chicken was moist, not dry and there chips and salsa was pretty damn good well more so the salsa. Now here's the curve ball service blew- had 3 servers helping us upstairs for a party of 2 and wow the service was still slow. The drinks were poorly made. I had to teach them how make a proper old fashion at one point they brought me a double shot of knob creek rye and a side glass of ice and called that a old fashion it baffled me because they have a picture of there version of a old fashion on there drink menu. My partners mojito was poorly made needless to say I left w a buzz from downing a dbl shot of whiskey and a poor remake of a old fashion. Word of advice some drinks need be left alone not everything needs a modern twist. My opinion at least. Will be returning food was great as was ambiance just won't be drinking there.
Unfortunately I did the open table mid morning, and 45 min before our reservation, they called and said they couldn’t accommodate us at the time we had requested since they had a large party coming in. I didn’t receive the call as we were in church, and when we showed up, they said we can’t seat you right now, it will be a 45 min wait even though you called in. Wish they would have called earlier and we would have been able to go to another restaurant on a busy Saturday night at 5:30.
Food was excellent. Waiter was slow at best... rude, told us to stop while giving our order multiple times so he could get it right and he still messed up three of ten meals. The restaurant was full, and we could accept slower service, but he was beyond overwhelmed. When we told the hostess she seemed disinterested and simply said “I hope it’s better when you come back” Again great tasting food... the people skills need work.
Sat outside since I wanted to see the game. Was told that the heaters were on outside. Later realized that one wasn't working and then the other began to turn off, making it very cold to be outside. Decided to go home.....on the way out, I find out that there's an upstairs area with a huge screen showing the game.....this was not mentioned at all when I first arrived! The next day, I ended up going somewhere else to see game 7. Btw, ordered the burgers.....not so tasty. Expected more with that price tag.
There was 6 of us and we we enjoyed a relaxing dinner catching up with each other. All the dishes were prepared well, especially the fish and chips. Our server Steven did a good job. A big shout out to Anthony who took time with our grandson to make sure his hamburger had the right cheese and even had it melted for him. It was touching to see the care he showed our grandson. Anthony was hustling and never seemed rushed when he visited a table. Thank you, too, for the manager in the red shirt who was aware of the servers and all activities in the restaurant. Thus Stonewerks is our favorite.
This is a sports bar & restaurant. I specifically requested being seated by a TV showing the Notre Dame game on my Open Table reserv. When I arrived I reiterated this request and was told game would be on the TV near me. It wasnt. I asked two employees to put the game on and they said they would but they did not. Finally I got up and found the manager and got her to put the game on. Not a very good job taking care of guests.
We reserved our table and it was ready when we got there. Check. Our friend who was meeting us came a few minutes later and was promptly seated. Check. The wine I wanted (New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc) was not available. No check. The second wine I ordered, a Chardonnay, was. But the pour was very small. No check. The food was fabulous. Check. The waiter did not refill water glasses although she did refill my husband's lemonade. Neutral. She was friendly and semi-attentive - I tried to get her to notice me a few times to no avail. I'd go back though - it was pretty good - just not excellent.
We went for Father's day and while busy, we were seated right at our 1:30 reservation time. However, the table we had was one with leaves converting it from square to round. My side had a slight slope down which had to be somewhat managed.
I had the Shrimp Brochette which was good despite missing jalapenos (minor detail). All the other members of my party seemed to enjoy their meals including Fish & Chips and Turkey Wrap. There were also positive comments about the desserts.
Food was bad... I mean bad. I would have turned this food down if my mom made it.
Under cooked pancakes, the eggs Benedict was a horrible impersonation. It was breakfast food! since when has breakfast become difficult to make.
The place looks nice, just needs a real cook.
