The 3 of us (ages 90, 87, & 74-2 gluten free) were really disappointed in this Sunday Brunch. It should be called a buffet breakfast! Other than the omelet station, we could have eaten these same food items for free at our Marriott Brand hotels where we stay. We were seated promptly in the room with the “brunch” buffet. While there, only a couple of people took advantage of the "brunch." So, the food was not replenished & you could tell it was sitting there for a while! Nearly all people were ordering from the menu. We had to wait for a server to take our drink orders, & all three ordered coffee & water. As he turned to walk away, I asked if orange juice was included, & he said, "Yes, it is. Do you want some?" Duh! When he brought the coffee, it was so cold we had him replace it. The food was not creative. Migas were lukewarm & dried out. E had plain scrambled eggs. She got cheddar cheese at the omelet station & put that on them! There were diced potatoes, waffles, biscuits & gravy, breaded chicken tenders, bacon (not crispy) and sausage patties. The cut up fruit, (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, and fresh pineapple) was just like Marriott's! D and I each had an omelet. I told the two guys (not going to call them chefs!) working the omelet station that D wanted her eggs well-done. I tho’t I’d finally made them understand that the eggs were to be cooked hard, but they were brown on the outside and not done on the inside! She picked some of the ham out, ate 1/2 biscuit with gravy and had a little fruit. She wanted something sweet like a Danish, so ended up putting butter & jelly on the other ½ of the biscuit. My omelet was good with cheddar cheese, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, pico de gallo, & fresh spinach. I had fruit with whipped cream. I had to ask the waiter to bring us refills on hot coffee. E and I cannot eat wheat, so I asked for gluten free bread, but they do not serve that. I DO NOT recommend this brunch. Order from the menu! That food looked good!
Had a dinner reservation for 10 for my son's 21st birthday. Overall the food and service at the table was good. The only issue was that the restaurant cancelled the reservation I made with Opentable because they weren't able to reach me on my phone to re-confirm the reservation. I made the reservation on OpenTable online and don't think that there is a need to re-confirm with a restaurant. Luckily they were able to fix it and get us seated quickly - but it soured the experience some as the manager had an attitude and tried to put the issue on us. Probably wouldn't go back unless it were a back-up option.
Food was good - halibut - and the beets were delicious. Only compliant was service on the patio was rare and the waiter was nearly running from task to task. Made me crazy!
I was very loud and cold in the restaurant. our waiter really did not come by the table much. we ordered a pizza, calamari and a side salad. I very surprised that I was charged full price for the salad.
Food was good and presented well. Prices were decent and plenty happening inside especially if you are a sports fan. Noise can be very loud so good for happy hour. Service could of been a little better as well as menu knowledge from server. Not bad but who wants to wait 20 minutes for a salad and then have the entree come right after with no time to eat the salad. Will go again and see what happens.
Reasonably priced Sunday Brunch with great selection of freshly cooked and prepared breakfast items...Very courteous staff and pleasant atmosphere...Great addition to local dining options!
This restaurant is our go-to place when friends or family come for a visit. We love the food!
Our drinks were not refilled without us asking. Food came out cold and clammy while our plates were extremely hot, which tells me they were sitting under the warmer.
We got our food at the same time we got our salad.
One meal had bones in the chicken that came on her flatbread.
Overall a bad experience and we wIll not be returning.
Very noisy restaurant and hard to hold a conversation with family and friends. They reported that I no showed this reservation after I spent $250 for dinner with them and I did not enjoy the meal. Not my best choice in reservations.
Extensive menu. Great food, local gem!
Great food and value, friendly staff however service was not up to standard... missing plates, silverware, everyone received meals at different times etc... overall we still love stonewerks however may not be doing our easter family gatherings here anymore.
Great Ahi Tuna salad. Sangrias and all other drinks are way too sweet!
I very much enjoyed the meal, our service and server where great. The noise level(music) was just to loud for a business lunch. I made a reservation for three but they still just wanted to put us in the bar area...WAY to loud for conversation. We sat on the patio and it nice and quiet out there.
This place was great all around, we celebrated my daughter’s birthday and it was a great experience, my first time here
A very important dining experience with my clients. Overall the food and Ambiance were awesome, but the service was very slow. They forgot one of my clients dishes. Granted it was acknowledged and not charged for butsince noone started eating until he received his plate everyone else's dishes were fairly cold.... Awkward!
The waiter was excellent, the food was delicious. The only issue we had was being forgotten and overlooked after checking in for our reservation. We let the hostesses know we were there and they completely forgot about us, and seated multiple other parties before us. Then when they realized we were still waiting, they seated us and apologized for the additional wait.
Food was amazing the rotisserie chicken was moist, not dry and there chips and salsa was pretty damn good well more so the salsa. Now here's the curve ball service blew- had 3 servers helping us upstairs for a party of 2 and wow the service was still slow. The drinks were poorly made. I had to teach them how make a proper old fashion at one point they brought me a double shot of knob creek rye and a side glass of ice and called that a old fashion it baffled me because they have a picture of there version of a old fashion on there drink menu. My partners mojito was poorly made needless to say I left w a buzz from downing a dbl shot of whiskey and a poor remake of a old fashion. Word of advice some drinks need be left alone not everything needs a modern twist. My opinion at least. Will be returning food was great as was ambiance just won't be drinking there.
The service was great. The food was just okay. Not worth the prices in my opinion.
Good location in Alamo Heights for a business lunch. East to get in and out. Wide variety on the menu.
Unfortunately I did the open table mid morning, and 45 min before our reservation, they called and said they couldn’t accommodate us at the time we had requested since they had a large party coming in. I didn’t receive the call as we were in church, and when we showed up, they said we can’t seat you right now, it will be a 45 min wait even though you called in. Wish they would have called earlier and we would have been able to go to another restaurant on a busy Saturday night at 5:30.
The service was pathetic and the prime rib was not edible. Will not be going back.
Food was cooked to perfection! We enjoyed the tender filet and the salmon with crawfish.
We were able to have a family Christmas Eve dinner at Stone Werks and could not be happier. Very grateful for the restaurant to be open. We were able to be seated before our reservation time, the food and service was great. We'll be back!
Went to Stone Werks for Christmas Eve lunch with family that had come in for the holiday. All enjoyed very much. Server was attentive and did well. Restaurant was not very crowded while we were there.
Food was excellent. Waiter was slow at best... rude, told us to stop while giving our order multiple times so he could get it right and he still messed up three of ten meals. The restaurant was full, and we could accept slower service, but he was beyond overwhelmed. When we told the hostess she seemed disinterested and simply said “I hope it’s better when you come back” Again great tasting food... the people skills need work.
Excellent food; very loud atmosphere
Sat outside since I wanted to see the game. Was told that the heaters were on outside. Later realized that one wasn't working and then the other began to turn off, making it very cold to be outside. Decided to go home.....on the way out, I find out that there's an upstairs area with a huge screen showing the game.....this was not mentioned at all when I first arrived! The next day, I ended up going somewhere else to see game 7. Btw, ordered the burgers.....not so tasty. Expected more with that price tag.
We had a large party with separate tickets and were 100% correct
Loved the food. Great staff. Good service. Love the ambience. A little bit noisy but overall, I had a good time.
Oysters Rockefeller were really good. Entrees were tasty but nothing to write home about. If you like blue cheese dressing, I highly recommend theirs.
There was 6 of us and we we enjoyed a relaxing dinner catching up with each other. All the dishes were prepared well, especially the fish and chips. Our server Steven did a good job. A big shout out to Anthony who took time with our grandson to make sure his hamburger had the right cheese and even had it melted for him. It was touching to see the care he showed our grandson. Anthony was hustling and never seemed rushed when he visited a table. Thank you, too, for the manager in the red shirt who was aware of the servers and all activities in the restaurant. Thus Stonewerks is our favorite.
This is a sports bar & restaurant. I specifically requested being seated by a TV showing the Notre Dame game on my Open Table reserv. When I arrived I reiterated this request and was told game would be on the TV near me. It wasnt. I asked two employees to put the game on and they said they would but they did not. Finally I got up and found the manager and got her to put the game on. Not a very good job taking care of guests.
Food was subpar. I got the crawfish stuffed salmon and was very bland. Also server forgot to put in my drink order two separate occasions.
Food was good not great. Ahi Tuna Steak had a large line of gristle in both pieces. Halibut was very good and the jumbo shrimp were way too done...tuff, but flavorful. Service was sporadic at first then was good.
We reserved our table and it was ready when we got there. Check. Our friend who was meeting us came a few minutes later and was promptly seated. Check. The wine I wanted (New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc) was not available. No check. The second wine I ordered, a Chardonnay, was. But the pour was very small. No check. The food was fabulous. Check. The waiter did not refill water glasses although she did refill my husband's lemonade. Neutral. She was friendly and semi-attentive - I tried to get her to notice me a few times to no avail. I'd go back though - it was pretty good - just not excellent.
Perfect location for a early pre theatre dinner on a Saturday in San Antonio!
Restaurant is always good, friendly service, and the cobbler is fantastic
Very pleasant atmosphere, great food, great selection of beer and wines. Friendly staff.
