Great weekday date
Typical bar food, prepared well. Good selection of beer. The outdoor seating scene of Stone Street is the real draw.
The host was very pleasant. The Server was exceptional, her recommendations were spot on. Great food and excellent service.
They changed the menu from what is posted online. The steak salad is fantastic
Great go to place for lunch in the financial district.
Actual menu is different than what is posted online so beware. Nonetheless, the food was very good although the selections were more limited than expected. Great service. Very dark and loud.
Excellent service and food
Do not recommend for bottomless brunch - service was bad and they are very stingy with the alcohol/frequency at which they bring it to you. We had to ask for another round of mimosas every single time - the server never willingly brought us more when our carafe was empty. We sat with empty glasses for 5-8 minutes at a time, and even walked our empty carafe over to the staff a couple times. The restaurant was not that busy and there were a lot of empty tables. No excuse for the poor service.
Good for two but not six: music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other across the table.
Good food and ambience
Food was good, service prompt and professional and beer selection excellent
The tuna tartare was amazing! I definitely recommend this restaurant for drinks and appetizers. Also great for grabbing a quick bite with coworkers for lunch.
Had mac & cheese w/lobster - was delish!
Great little spot with a charming interior. Main complaint is it’s way too dim (basically dark) inside. You can’t read the menu without extra light, can barely see your food to know if it’s cooked right or looks good. Atmosphere is fun, service was great, food ok for a bar/tavern— just really need to turn the lights up a bit.
Went for brunch and got bottomless mimosas for $25 each additional. Was really nice that our server put a pitcher of mimosas at our table to avoid us waiting for refills! The Brussel sprouts were the best I ever had in my life - the fish sauce is amazing. The avocado toast was also delicious with jalepano guacamole. Great service and food - would definitely go back!
Miguel our server was AMAZING and the food was delicious
I have clients nearby and we love that we get good food, great service and can walk from our offices on Water and Wall.. they always accomodate me.. good group!
Great food and service
Stone Street Tavern is a nice little place and the quality of food is surprisingly good. This visit I had what I would know as French Dip (they had a slightly different name for it). But better. Their beef was slow cooked for hours on premesis with au jus on a focaccia style bread (toasted with garlic butter). Delicious! The wait staff is awesome - I’ve been here twice for dinner and service is consistently very good. I’ll be back 😊
nice， will come back
We went with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon for lunch around noon. Stone street wasn't crowded, the service was great, and food excellent.
Stone Street is one of the best places on Stone Street - fun outside in the summer and comfortable indoors in the winter. We enjoyed burgers and chicken sandwiches. French Onion soup alway was delicious. Worth the trip.
Great place in a prime New York venue. Old style cobblestone streets. Outdoor seating. Very attentive staff.
Great lunch spot
A group of us went for Brunch - we had called before hand to secure a reservation, and to see if the bottomless brunch was an option, they confirmed both. We asked the cost of bottomless brunch and the time limit. They had stated the bottomless was an additional $10 per person, if an entree was purchased. This was not the case however when they presented us with the bill, they charged us $25 per person for drinks. Not a huge issue, but that was not what we had expected, I think the server we spoke to over the phone was misinformed about the bottomless offerings.
Overall, not worth the $25 + cost of entree. Food wasn't terrible, but also wasn't very warm when it was brought out, which was surprising since the restaurant was not very full. Definitely would not go back!
We were greeted upon arrival. Our waitress was friendly and fast with service. The food was good and the atmosphere terrific . Will be back soon!
The manager is so awesome and the food is amazing! Can't go wrong with any of the meals on the brunch menu! Highly recommend
Good food, bottomless mimosas and tables in the street. Add the good company of friendly strangers sharing your table and you have a recipe for a fun and memorable and brunch.
The food is fine but nothing special. Went for brunch and had the chicken and waffles. It was interesting. Not sure it was prepared on a waffle. Looked more like a toaster cake with hash marks on it. The chicken cutlet was greasy.
Randomly decided to try this place out for brunch. It was delicious! I had the veggie omelette, by friend had the Eggs Benedict, and my BF had the biscuits and gravy. All were delicious!!! Definitely recommended for brunch. I've also done a quick dinner here and loved it.
The food was good, but not what we were expecting. The lunch menu on Open Table was different from what was being served. It was a Saturday at 1 p.m., and the restaurant was serving brunch. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. Fun atmosphere.
The Stone Street Tavern was the perfect venue for the birthday we were celebrating. Not only was the food delicious but the service was incredible as well! Highly recommend for a celebration or just getting together with friends, family, or coworkers.
This was an absolutely horrendous experience. DO NOT go here if you have any allergies. First, the menu online is misleading and the item I expected to eat with my allergy was unavailable "for a while" according to the server. Then, I made 100% clear my dairy allergy. The dish was promptly served covered in dairy product. I sent it back and it was returned and I started to eat. At that point I realized the dish was basted in butter. I brought this to the attention of the sever. He swore to me that it was 100% dairy free. We went back and forth until I insisted he check with the kitchen. He then came back and informed me the dish was indeed covered in dairy. I eat out all the time and I am fairly desensitized to them getting the dish wrong a first time regarding allergies. But Stone Street Tavern was incredibly negligent.
The hostess was rude, the waitress did minimum. But we loved the food and the atmosphere
Went for brunch - great food and lots of fun with the bottomless Mimosa's
Visited on a Saturday at noon for brunch. The location on Stone Street is historic; and the service was good and casual. The kitchen produced a run of the mill eggs benedict and the cider choices from the bar were also ok but not amazing. If you want casual noisy fun brunch this is a good choice. If you want quieter surroundings and better food, there are better options in the neighborhood, if not on the same street.
This is a workday lunch place in the financial district. We got there at 1 p.m. And didn't get our food for nearly an hour --- after asking numerous times, making it clear that one of us had to leave by 2, etc.
Only disappointment is there's no fish and chips, just cod sandwich.
Charming historic sight on a quaint cobble stone alley.
