My husband and I had a date night. We had come from the movies. We had reservations for 7:45 but arrived at 7:05. We were seated immediately. Our servers name was Joey. He came to our table to take our drink order. He brought our drinks and we were ready to order. It was very loud so it was difficult to hear. We did not see him again until we were 1/2 way done with our dinner. The food was excellent! He refilled my tea and brought my husband another beer. He came back later to see if we wanted any dessert. We did not. He brought our check. We waited a while for him to come get it and then waited a while for him to return. He had mentioned that he was running around like crazy. We will go back.

It may have only been because it was restaurant week but we were not pleased with our food. We both ordered steak (prime rib and two 3oz filets) and neither one had any flavor. The filets were dry even though I ordered them medium rare. I’m hoping it was just restaurant week and they cooks were overwhelmed because I have heard good things. Also, sitting on the inclosed patio outside by the fire was nice but the chairs were like basic patio furniture. I had to sit on the edge of the chair to feel like I was high enough to eat my food. I would go back and give it another try though.

While one of our guests did not get his dinner promptly. Your chicken wings do not specify regular, spicy, hot etc. That caused confusion and an order being returned. Having to reorder and wait so long became a bigger issue. The manager did make it right with us and it became bearable.

A friend and I decided to try for restaurant week. It was a good value of food for the $30 price point. Our first time going here. The appetizer, the kabobs were OK I asked for rare because the waitress told us the cook can only make then rare, medium or done. I like m meat medium rare, so I went with rare. They came out cold. Too cold to enjoy
My friend ordered her steak well done, came out medium rare. She had to send back.
Our waitress was a little "loud" & a little over the top if you will with her personality, but attentive.
Otherwise, we would try again

My go-to neighborhood restaurant. Solid southern American fare. Delicious meals, generous portions and great service. My friends really like the Wednesday 1/2 price bottle of wine nights.

Perfect. Really, when does that happen anymore, especially on a holiday? Great food. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Oh my gosh the tuxedo cheesecake... amazing. And great service! Can't ask for more than that!

This was our 3rd or 4th visit over the past several months, so Stone Mountain is earning our vote for great consistency, and we're taking advantage of the huge menu. Not much to add, except this was probably our best service experience. I like that glass of wine in front of me before I'm told the specials. Seems to me it behooves a restaurant to deliver that 1st glass, as the sooner I get it, the more likely I am to finish it and ask for a second. This time, our server did exactly that. While the entry level house cabernet is unpleasant, we very much enjoyed the middle range cab for a dollar or two more. It was full, smooth, and would pair with most anything. We've not yet tried the Chilean sea bass, as there's a Portuguese restaurant in Perth Amboy NJ which serves the best we've ever had. To try it elsewhere, would likely be a disappointment. Stone Mountain works so diligently to provide us with the best local experience, it would be unfair to order Chilean sea bass and then complain it wasn't as good as we hoped. By the way, that's what Charlotte sorely needs: a good Portuguese restaurant.

We had a reservation. When we arrived it made it sound like we would be in front of the fireplace, only to end up on the side looking at brick, kind of like in a corner. Asked for another table, they then sit us a huge round corner table. Service wasn't very good, our waitress wasn't pleasant. The noise level was very high, even our waitress couldn't hear and even commented on the noise.
We order our food, both went with the Crab encrusted Mahi Mahi. I have to say from my experience the fish they cook is frozen. Our food wasn't even cooked properly, it was tough to cut, and the center of the fish was raw/under-cooked. We showed this to our waitress, and she agreed. They did offer to bring us both something different, but we decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else. Not a very good experience at all. Read the reviews before going, as we wanted to try something new, and not sure how the reviews and our experience could be so drastic, but not good.

This was our second year having Christmas dinner with my daughter and granddaughter. Two of us had the ribeye and one ordered bourbon salmon. It was all delicious and we even had leftovers to take home. I also celebrated my birthday in November on the porch by the fireplace.

Environment was quiet, but decor is a little dated. Hostess was nice and proficcient, the server was nice but obviously under the influence of narcotics ( I would know). My 16 year old loved his ribs, 14 year old enjoyed his hamburger but they are teenage boys and will eat just about anything and declare it delicious. My wife's ribeye was extremely fatty and the cut was extremely thin and if low quality. My meatloaf was probably the most disgusting meal I have had in a long time. I don't have words to describe the texture and taste, the meatloaf appeared to be overly processed and maybe comes pre-made from the food supplier? Not a bad place, but anyone familiar with the food service industry or dines out frequently can see this is a struggling establishment and is cutting costs by or ding cheap quality meats and ingredients. Too bad!

What a huge and varied menu. Don't know how they do it. Servers get it for you "your way." Food, provisions are all of high quality and very well prepared and presented. When you dine here, you're away from that corporate chain menu with corporate recipes filled with white sauces, sweeteners, carbohydrates. and outrageous pricing. This is your special home-town eatery to treasure and frequent. Our local choice.

This place had a warm and inviting feel, really nice atmosphere. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the menu and the food we ordered was delicious. My teenagers enjoyed their steaks, I loved the chicken tenders, and my two-year-old thoroughly enjoyed her pizza and macaroni and cheese. We will definitely be back again!

While my burger was good, the two folks that got salads were not impressed. The kale and lettuce was wilted and the standard dressing was not liked. Other dressings had to be ordered so that at least part of the salad could be eaten. Even the lettuce on my burger was wilted. Would recommend avoiding the salads. That said, the group did like the firecracker shrimp and mozzarella sticks. As for the service, it was quick and accurate which makes it good for business meals. At least for a business lunch, this place is doable.

This restaurant has been here awhile and always wanted to try it. Went with friends we haven't seen in awhile and all seemed to really like the food. I had the Danish baby back ribs and they were the best I've ever eaten. Tasty and falls right off the bone. Will go back.

This was our second trip within a week. My husband was so impressed with their Grouper New Orleans that he wanted to try a steak. He had the NY Strip which was thick and juicy. He said it's one of the best. His mashed potatoes were excellent. I had the ribs again and can recommend them.

This was our first time. I had the ribs and they were excellent. My husband had the New Orleans Grouper and he said it was quite good (it could have been a bit spicier but the waiter explained that too many complained so they had to tone it down). We look forward to returning. Jeremy was an excellent server with good suggestions.

First time at Stone Mountain Grill so consider that as part of the review. Biggest kudo relates to the menu and food. The menu and food selections are creative, varied and worth the trip. Their menu is posted online for viewing prior to dining and immediately perked my interest. The best part is they delivered taste and quality on each dish. The overall ambiance and service are areas which degraded my overall opinion. To start with the lighting was so dim I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu… not good. Our reservation was at 6:15 PM. This could be rectified with a few more lumens of light. The service is where my satisfaction declined. We had one of those servers who gave the impression we were interrupting something more important she wanted to do. I generally tip 20% as a rule but decreased to 15% due to attitude. Try Stone Mountain Grill for the food dishes, but don’t expect to be blown away by service nor ambiance.

Conveniently located in Ballantyne. We both enjoyed the full rack of ribs, which were excellent. However, we both had the black beans and rice and the rice was under-cooked (crunchy). This is the first time we have experienced that. Our server was excellent.

Looking forward to our next visit.
