Stone Creek - West Chester Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent and beuatifully presented. Our waitress was attentive and knowlegeable.
BUT - we are not that familiar with the area and were coming from 3 different areas: Springboro, Fairfield, and Oxford. The GPS could not find the restaurant either by name or by address. So we were all wandering around looking for the restaurant as we had only a general idea of the location. Is there an address other than the one given on the website that should be used for navigation?
This actually happened to me a couple of years ago also, and I was very lost that time.
We ate here for New Year's Eve. We had a large group and to our surprise..they seated us in a private dining room!! It was awesome. We enjoyed our cozy dinner for 11! The service was good. Dinner came out a little fast..we were still eating salads. But the food was tasty. A good experience overall
We have been loyal fans of Stone Creek for a long time. Lately we have observed servers who seem to be new and don't know the menu, or specials. Our food hasn't been prepared the way we asked, and even the servers have commented on that. It used to be great, but, recently the caring attitude seems to have left. From an observers perspective, it appears to be related to turnover, or inexperience in their respective roles.
The menu has a wide select to choose from, which is an asset. Chicken, pasta, steaks, and sandwiches. This is a definite plus because there is always one in a group that can be tough to satisfy. Prices are reasonable but some dishes have ala carte for sides and salad. I would go there again. Reservations are suggested during the holidays.
Beautiful exterior and interior. Unfortunately only 2 out of 3 entries were served in a timely manner but the manager stepped up to make sure we were not charged. The house salad was tasty. Halibut was excellent. Chicken scaloppine was also cooked perfectly. Not sure why it was empty Friday night but very sparse crowd.
My previous experiences at Stone Creek were better. One of our group had the "patatas" side which he found bland. I had a parmesan risotto side which also was very bland...think room temp oatmeal, plain.
I really don't want to complain as both I and my husband were gifted our entrees for Veterans Day, and I did not advise the server(s). I'll go back, but I hope they look closely at the sides. The petite filet and spinach were terrific!
Food and service were excellent. They offered a free entree to all veterans for Veterans Day.
Neither my husband or I are veterans and even though the restaurant was extremely busy with veterans, the service and food were excellent. They did an exemplary job of honoring our veterans.
