Stone Creek - West Chester Ratings and Reviews
My previous experiences at Stone Creek were better. One of our group had the "patatas" side which he found bland. I had a parmesan risotto side which also was very bland...think room temp oatmeal, plain.
I really don't want to complain as both I and my husband were gifted our entrees for Veterans Day, and I did not advise the server(s). I'll go back, but I hope they look closely at the sides. The petite filet and spinach were terrific!
Food and service were excellent. They offered a free entree to all veterans for Veterans Day.
Neither my husband or I are veterans and even though the restaurant was extremely busy with veterans, the service and food were excellent. They did an exemplary job of honoring our veterans.
I took a group of customers to this restaurant for lunch, a group of 6 total with reservations. The place was empty but the service was none existent. The waiter needs some serious training or maybe a new job role because the other table nearby had serious issues as well. I don’t know where to start: couldn’t understand the specials because of how quiet the waiter spoke, we were constantly out of water despite continuous efforts and requests for water, the bread never showed despite friendly reminders, and many other oddities made the experience awkward but funny due to the ridiculousness. The food was just ok nothing special but not bad. We did complain and the manager tried to save the day by comping our meal which we accepted but the damage was done. I guess my customers will never forget that lunch experience. I typically don’t leave reviews but the waiting staff and service level needs serious improvement.
Our server was awesome. We have a toddler but we still enjoy nice restaurants and good food - so we went at 4:00 when it wasn't busy at all. Everything we ordered was great. Only a few things could have been better:
1. My dad ordered a very common liquor and they were out. On a Saturday night.
2. We were told prior to ordering that they didn't have baked or mashed potatoes. Both options I was considering with my meal.
I have Celiac and they've got a really nice gluten free menu, so that's a BIG bonus for me. They seem to be able to work with any dietary needs.
Good flavored risotto. Peppered coleslaw tasted like normal coleslaw, little disappointing. Parmesan crusted horseradish my sirloin was a little bland, seemed like more of a sauce than crust and not much horseradish. My fiance enjoyed his steak more than I did, he had the sirloin and pork chop combo. Bread and drinks were good.
Everyone's meal was excellent. Our server Kim was very accommodating, making several suggestions on menu choices. We were a party of 8. Everyone's food came out at the same time and was pipping hot. Not sure why this place was not more crowded on a Saturday night, but everything could not have been any better. Great atmosphere, nicely decorated, and clean. Great attention to detail. Example: Noticed a bus boy bringing clean glasses to the bar area and as he was arranging the glasses he noticed a water spot on the bottom of the glass. He used a clean towel to remove the water spot. That is the attention to detail you want to see as a guest. Like I said, the experience could not have been better and I highly recommend Stone Creek.
I always enjoy coming to Stone Creek. We haven't been for about a year and a half (moved away) but it was still just as good as we remembered.
We enjoy sitting in the bar with multiple TVs to watch the football games, but it's not a "sports bar" setting. It's relaxed and we enjoy the conversation with the bartenders.
The establishment as always been well managed and you will see the manager(s) throughout the night.
We were a party of six on a Saturday evening and our server Sauna was awesome. The food was palatable as well with the exception of my chicken being done medium rare. They returned with a "blackened chicken" that was dry as Old Mother Hubbard Cupboard. But, everyone else's dish was great and I highly recommend the Parmesan Risotto.
In celebration of our anniversary, we chose to try Stone Creek Dining, although we typically go to Jag's. We just wanted to try something new. I ordered Chicken parmesan with a side caesar salad. My husband ordered the 6 oz filet with parmesan risotto and the chef's vegetable. I loved the salad, the best I have had in a while! For me the chicken parmesan noodles were overcooked and had too much cream sauce on them, which made the flavor funny. The chicken was excellent. My husband wished he had asked for his filet medium, as medium well was a bit over done, as the filet was thin. He specifically wanted green beans, and looking back, he should have asked for a special order. However, he ordered the chef's vegetable, which was supposed to be green beans, zucchini, squash, and rainbow cauliflower. However, his mixed veggies did not have ONE green bean! Not one! He was disappointed.
The general manager, Ben, came to check on us and asked how our dinner was. I told him it was okay, which he did not like. He wanted our experience to be over the top, so he asked what the issues were. I explained the above, which we did not really think were big deals, just a nuisance really. He promptly offered to buy a round of our drinks, which we were happy to accept. We told him we were celebrating our anniversary and he offered us a free dessert, which was nice. At this point, we were happy. but then Ben came back and offered to pay for our whole meal! My husband at once said it was not necessary, but Ben insisted! We were floored. We were not overly unhappy with anything, but Ben wanted to make sure we came back. Honestly, I am not sure we would have come back, as we really enjoy the Jag's experience. But now, we will have to come back to Stone Creek and give it another shot for sure!
Searched local restaurants on internet. Found stone Creek Dining Company that happens to be close to where I live. Reviewed the menu and customer reviews. Made reservations online. Results exceeded my expectations and those of my family as we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Horrible service was our biggest issue. When seated we were not given the wine/drink menu so I had to request. It took forever each time for the waiter to return to our table, from the start to getting our check. Too bad I was really expecting a nice experience.
Another overly formulated restaurant concept. Waitstaff are undertrained, food is overpriced considering its similarity to mass budget chains, and they totally failed to meet our expectations. Ordinarily restaurants on OpenTable are "better" and a notch above family value-oriented places. Sadly, this was not.
