Great evening for a special family anniversary celebration.
We had a wonderful date night. It was a little loud back by the kitchen area, but the food was amazing. Highly recommend!
Poor service, not enough help. Salmon was raw. Snapper was smelly and over cooked. Potatoes were cold.
Always great. Love the new location. The food is very good, and they are very accommodating to any requests.
We had never been to Stone Creek and thought we would try it during restaurant week. The restaurant was loud. Hard to carry on a conversation. My husband and I both ordered from the specials for the event. The salad that came with the meal was average at best. I had Mahi Mahi and he had the filet. My Mahi was way over cooked. I prefer my fish cooked more than the average person, but this was even tougher and dryer than I like. The filet was cooked properly and tasted fine, but sides were less than pleasing (with both dishes). Service was just ok. She forgot oil for our bread, steak knife for steak, we declined coffee and she asked again like it was the first time. All and all, for the money, better places to eat in Cincinnati!
We attended dinner during the Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week. We had reservations and were seated immediately although the place was packed. The bar was busy as was the dining room. It was not loud, just jubilant. The bread and infused oil was delicious. The salad: very good. My filet was a bit under-cooked, but this was ok with me. My friend's was also under-cooked and returned. The waiter and manager were super-attentive to this. I found the filet to be a bit tasteless. The accompaniments helped, but still I felt a bit myeh. The dessert was a trainwreck: out of season strawberries over a room-temperature biscuit. I liked the place and hope to return for other menu choices.
The new location is amazing, including the new spacious parking lot (an upgrade from street parking and remote garage at the old location). The food is consistently good and there is a nice selection of menu and bar items. The service was exceptional and not overbearing. Tons of space and seating options. Would easily recommend!
Staff at entry point (two young women) seemed aloof and not interested in guests; as I waited for a few minutes I watched the woman at front desk checking her phone, and generally seeming uninterested in being there. Our waitress was sweet and very good; there was a mix up with glasses of wine -- she was fine but flustered as to how that could have happened. Then another man came over and asked what the issue was; the incident took way to long to resolve vs. just taking away the existing glasses of wine and bringing two new glasses. Meal was fine, not great; portion sizes were small for the price. Very loud / hard to have a conversation while dining due to number of people in restaurant and acoustics.
We loved the new location and the décor. Very pretty. The food was very good and it wasn't piled on our plates. It was just enough.
Brand new restaurant location. Service was excellent. Carrot cake is a show stopper.
We were disappointed. When we asked for booth the hostess sternly idicated we should have asked for first. Very demeaning. (Ive eaten out before. At 81 more than once). Waiter wasgood kid but not well trained, not sure of this or that. We get better at coopers.😥😣
Not sure I like the new look. Maybe the outdoor seating will add to the experience. Seems like the bar is smaller, seating about the same, kitchen larger
food very good. service was also very good. Somewhat noisy.
Our food was delicious, but our server was not knowledgeable about the food or drinks menu.
Just wasn’t great - kinda blah , the best part of the dinner was the appetizer
I showed up an hour earlier than my reservation for three, and then added a fourth, and Stonecreek easily accommodated us. I sat at the large bar where friendly staff served great beer on tap, and once my party arrived our transition to table was easy. In addition, I have food allergies and they were able to help me identify safe menu items. Overall, happy with the experience!
We love the new restaurant, quieter than the older place.
Salad was delicious and wished the portion was larger. Onion soup very good.
Disappointed with new location. Bar layout not as energetic as past location. Not enough bar seating Average decor and sun shines through windows. Could do without Bar backsplash!
The food and service was exceptional I was just a little disappointed in the noise level having this be the first time I’ve experienced your new location
Felt the price for the pasta dish was high.
The food and service are still great in the new location, but the entrance door is not well marked and a good bit of the seating in the main dining room is a banquette style, which we don't like. It isn't as intimate as a booth, but there are fewer of those. Really disappointing, since a party of two is more likely to want a tete a tete! On the other hand, the party rooms will be nice as will outside seating when the weather warms.
I usually enjoyed good to excellent pork chops at your former location; however, the pork chops served to me last Sunday evening were so tough that I could hardly cut them with the hunting knife you provided.
The new location is a big change from the old one located in downtown Montgomery. Here's the positives and negatives:
+ Still the great staff, especially Barry and Pam behind the bar.
+ Food is still excellent
+ Wine list is pretty good
+ New decor is an update from the old location
- Please get rid of the bar trapeze. It's annoying and it makes it difficult for the bar staff.
- Menu is a lot smaller. Not as many choices as the old menu. I miss some of the lighter options and only one sandwich on the dinner menu? Need a few more options for those who sit at the bar and only want a sandwich.
- Prices are higher
- Maybe clean up the ugly background behind the bar. Distracting.
Will we come back? Of course! We like the food and the great service.
This was my first visit to the new Stone Creek location. Service was quite slow and not very attentive. One disappointing change on the menu... I used to love their short rib grilled cheese. I had the half sandwich and soup for lunch, and the half short rib sandwich turned out to be an open piece of bread that was about 1" x 5". It wasn't bad, but very small - and not a sandwich.
As usual, service and food top notch. As with their old location I found that the space was too noisy to have a comfortable conversation with my dinner mates. More attention should be paid to acoustic.
New location. Was not happy with size of ahi tuna for 2 plate. Had this in other location a few times. Salad was different also. Service was good. Will have to think if returning again.
My wife and I found the restaurant to be very good with the exception of one our main dishes-we ordered snapper, which was disappointing- over cooked - very dry. We hinted at this when we spoke to our waitress and one of their floor supervisors. We expected they would take it back and try to redo the fish, but they ignored it.
We would not recommend the snapper to anyone.
All the other dishes were very good.
We do recommend the restaurant but caution a customer to be careful with any dish that comes out not prepared properly.
Parking was terrible for a 1 PM lunch on a Wednesday. Some parked across the street and said it was difficult to cross Montgomery Rd. Another, that did get a parking spot in the lot, knowing how difficult, tried to notify all of us to meet at DeShas instead and she would meet us there.
Room is very noisy.
The new menu was very disappointing. We were looking forward to dining at the new location for the first time but our experience did not live up to past dining experiences at the old location. New twists on old menu favorites fell flat and many of the pairings seemed odd. Bring back the old variety of sides (lobster mac 'n cheese, loaded potato wedges, white cheddar au gratin potatoes) and allow diners to choose which two they would like. The Stone Creek Combos are no longer available and onion twists/straws are no longer offered for steak lovers. Sandwiches have also disappeared from the menu. The only bright spot in the evening was that the brownie sundae was still good. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.
Waitress forgot to order several meals.
The service and vibe here is very good. The quality of our meals was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The scene is vibrant yet not too loud to talk. We will come back here often. Highly recommend this location. They also have an excellent location in West Chester too.
The food quality was good. Service was slow. The chicken with risotto portion was tasty but the portion was small. Very small piece of chicken.
Great food and great service, especially considering it was Easter Sunday.
Our waiter was great, it took longer than usual for the meals to arrive. It was Easter Sunday and they were busy.
We were busy talking and the time flew by. Beautiful restaurant, the new location is great.
Great food & great Atmosphere!
The menu has also changed with their new location.
First time at their new location. The place is amazing, excellent food and service.
Staff not trained well
Stone Creek's new location is so much better than their old location in downtown Montgomery. They have more room, bar is larger and better, and their private rooms are on the same floor with a lot of privacy. On negative side is their new forks are hard to hold to cut meat.
Have been there twice since the new opening and both occasions have been outstanding. Plan to return in a couple of weeks.
