Stone Creek Inn Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful experience. We went to Stone Creek Inn on Sunday, November 5th during restaurant week. The dinner was perfect from start to finish. We started with a great bottle of red wine. 35 dollars!! Although they were offering Mccalls merlot for 28.95 which is a great deal, as I think it's on the regular menu for around 45 dollars. For dinner, my husband and I both had the calamari salad, which is so good!! Then I had the short ribs and he had the garganelli with veal and pork ragu. Both entrees were fabulous!! We ended the meal with the pear sundaes. So decadent!!! The service was wonderful and for a total of $ 113.00 , it was a very reasonable meal. My only complaint is the price of the cocktails at the bar. One small scotch and a small martini was 32 dollars. We've eaten at the best restaurants on Long Island and Manhattan, and felt these were overpriced. Other than that, it was a wonderful night.
Always one of our very favorite places. We went on the Saturday night of Restaurant Week and it was VERY crowded and VERY noisy. I have a feeling they pushed the tables even closer together than they normally are. That said, everything else was perfect - the food and service impeccable.
Great service and options for three gluten free patrons. The server was extremely knowledgeable about if, and how, a meal could be modified to suite our dietary restrictions. Despite it being Restaurant Week and having many patrons to serve, the waitress was quick and attentive. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for an excellent meal.
The food at Stone Creek was wonderful as usual. I have only dined there a handful of times but am never disappointed. All members of the waitstaff we dealt with were excellent. They strike the perfect balance between professional and friendly. The Long Island Restaurant Prix Fixe is a great deal and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Never disappointed!!!!! Always the best food ever. Thanks Christian for making things that no one else does. Fine dining seems to be dying out east but he always stays constant with creative high end food. Foie gras, escargot, homemade pasta dishes, duck and so much more. Love Stonecreek!!!
So incredibly disappointing! From the poor service to the over done lamb to the pre cooked rubber chicken! Used to be our favorite
Our guest ordered drink before dinner he finally had to go up to the bar to get it himself
No one poured water or wine and we brought excellent wine which we had called about earlier in the day.. no decanter etc
That’s it for us
They could have cared less. Lazy staff food so not worth the price
Grrrr and we never write things like this
The menu is on the high side. We are okay with this if the food and service back it up. Our service was awful. Our waitress was rarely available and never checked in to see how our food was. Dinner was good, but not good enough for the price. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Traditionally this has been a pretty reliable restaurant, a good kitchen used to help rationalize the heavy price...well maybe it's because we were there after the end of high season, experiencing staff and quality issues...both the chicken and the beef bourguignon were over cooked, dry and served tepid at best...the beet salad was over-dressed, saturated and with wilted greens...even a $26 glass of Cabernet couldn't save the beef...service was good, the valet was great, the hostess was just going through the motions. For $260+ (two glasses of wine) for two people it will be a long time before the SCI finds itself in our consideration set again.
Sorry guys, it was simply a disappointment
Dinner was great. Everybody enjoyed the appetizers and mains. Of special note were the lamb meatballs and the burrata appetizers. The mains included a really special fresh pasta with osso bucco, short ribs, black sea bass and a vegetarian farro. Service was excellent with attention at all times. All good and highly recommended.
We frequent the restaurant a few times a year and it has been our first choice. It is the best quality food within the Westhampton, Quogue, Hampton Bays area. Very consistent high quality. Not inexpensive, but for an elegant dinner with excellent food, it's hard to beat. Prix fixe meal offered on certain days is always worth it.
Went here again for a special occasion and as usual we were not unhappy. Great food and service as always. We were offered a regular menu as well as a nice two course prix fixe menu which had quite a few choices on it. I had the salad and beef bourguignon and my wife had the steak tartare (not the usual presentation so read the description carefully,) and the fish. On the wine list we found a great Rombauer Chard and unlike other places, they weren't charging a fortune for it. There were also reasonably priced wines by the glass. Nice quiet dining room and free valet parking. Love this place.
