Stone Creek Inn Ratings and Reviews
Love Stone Creek! Off season especially nice to enjoy Chef's delicious, seasonal menu. For the first time, on this trip we shared the grilled octopus which was fresh and delicious. We also had the sirloin, which was excellent, though my dining partner did not like the truffled potatoes, which were overdone and somewhat gloppy. The black linquine was full of delicious lobster meat, shrimp and crabmeat, all cooked to perfection. There is always something new and outstanding to try on the menu, and Phil's Manhattan's at the bar are unrivaled.
Thanksgiving dinner usually at home. Decided to dine out and chose Stone Creek Inn as it a personal fave. It did not disappoint. The prix fixe of $55 per adult was well worth it. An appetizer choice (there were several). I chose the Burata and Serrano ham, otherschose the cheese tortellini in a truffle sauce (yum) and others the beet salad. The main course options were varied with Turkey and stuffing for those with traditional holiday palates. The desserts included a chocolate mousse, apple tartine and pumpkin pie. Food was very yummy, and service was impeccable as always. Did not disappoint. Done cooking.
We dined at Stone Creek for a date this past weekend. Honestly the food was ok. We come here often and it's not a cheap meal. Nothing was really that inspired. I had the filet and it was cooked to the right temp, the gratin was a watery and not a hint of truffle and broccli rabe was alright. All in all it was meh. My husband had a seasonal dish, the Venison. It was pretty dry and surrounded by a lot of semi-over cooked root veggies.
Honest, our server was great. Bus people were great too. Cocktails were on point. Just not really impressed with our food. I wouldn't say it was bad, just wasn't at all blown away and just really not impressed for the amount of $$ it costs. And I don't mind spending $ on good food it just fell short.
Wonderful experience. We went to Stone Creek Inn on Sunday, November 5th during restaurant week. The dinner was perfect from start to finish. We started with a great bottle of red wine. 35 dollars!! Although they were offering Mccalls merlot for 28.95 which is a great deal, as I think it's on the regular menu for around 45 dollars. For dinner, my husband and I both had the calamari salad, which is so good!! Then I had the short ribs and he had the garganelli with veal and pork ragu. Both entrees were fabulous!! We ended the meal with the pear sundaes. So decadent!!! The service was wonderful and for a total of $ 113.00 , it was a very reasonable meal. My only complaint is the price of the cocktails at the bar. One small scotch and a small martini was 32 dollars. We've eaten at the best restaurants on Long Island and Manhattan, and felt these were overpriced. Other than that, it was a wonderful night.
Always one of our very favorite places. We went on the Saturday night of Restaurant Week and it was VERY crowded and VERY noisy. I have a feeling they pushed the tables even closer together than they normally are. That said, everything else was perfect - the food and service impeccable.
Great service and options for three gluten free patrons. The server was extremely knowledgeable about if, and how, a meal could be modified to suite our dietary restrictions. Despite it being Restaurant Week and having many patrons to serve, the waitress was quick and attentive. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for an excellent meal.
The food at Stone Creek was wonderful as usual. I have only dined there a handful of times but am never disappointed. All members of the waitstaff we dealt with were excellent. They strike the perfect balance between professional and friendly. The Long Island Restaurant Prix Fixe is a great deal and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Never disappointed!!!!! Always the best food ever. Thanks Christian for making things that no one else does. Fine dining seems to be dying out east but he always stays constant with creative high end food. Foie gras, escargot, homemade pasta dishes, duck and so much more. Love Stonecreek!!!
So incredibly disappointing! From the poor service to the over done lamb to the pre cooked rubber chicken! Used to be our favorite
Our guest ordered drink before dinner he finally had to go up to the bar to get it himself
No one poured water or wine and we brought excellent wine which we had called about earlier in the day.. no decanter etc
That’s it for us
They could have cared less. Lazy staff food so not worth the price
Grrrr and we never write things like this
The menu is on the high side. We are okay with this if the food and service back it up. Our service was awful. Our waitress was rarely available and never checked in to see how our food was. Dinner was good, but not good enough for the price. Overall, a disappointing experience.
