Stone Creek Inn
*We will happily accommodate parties of 7 or more. Please call the restaurant for reservations.
Our table was ready and the food was delicious. I think the prices are high (especially the wine/liquor). A glass of house Pinot Grigio should not be $16. ... and the glass was not filled 3/4. It was a special occasion, but since WE took the couple to dinner, it was over the top and at not so fancy places in Hampton Bays, we got a lot more food for the money we spent Sunday evening for dinner.
My husband and myself enjoyed a delicious and a wonderful evening. It was my birthday so it was a joyous occasion.
From start to finish one of the best dining experiences i have had. it can stand up to any fine dining restaurant in NYC. You arrive and the valet greet you, as you enter the hosts greet you with a smile, the bus staff say hello and then Ashley our server was phenomenal. The food was outstanding and we were not rushed even on a Saturday night. The whole service team knew when to come by the table and when not to interfere. We celebrated our anniversary and could not have been happier.
thank you all for a most memorable evening!!!!
The ambiance was great. The steak came very rare, I had to send it back. It came back perfect. Wine list was very good. Busy Friday night made it very loud.
One of our favorite restaurants. Amazing food, wine and service.
Food was excellent. Service outstanding.
Valet Parking was a nice surprise. Awesome, friendly and well trained service. Food was outstanding. Cocktails well done Space was simply and elegantly decorated. I would highly recommend.
Great restaurant, excellent food, worked with my food allergies really well.
Octopus appetizer needed a little more octopus.
We’ll be back.
Greeted as soon as we walked in.
Made to feel very welcome.
Large menu selection.
We had grilled octopus for an appetizer it was tender and delicious.
We chose the filet migon with asparagus and potatoes
Cappuccino and their home made cookies were delicious.
Loved everything about this restaurant
Old house set up in a nice dining room good selection of food and drinks
When room filled up it got very loud
The food was excellent as usual. The waitstaff was a little stiff .
Another wonderful meal at Stone Creek. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was terrific!
The Stone Creek Inn never disappoints. I have dined there almost a dozen times, and it seems to get better. I hope this review doesn't box me out on my next reservation via more people trying to dine there.
Fifth visit this year.
Best Restaurant in the area by far. Food is excellent. Cocktails are great... especially when Phil prepares them.
Always love going here. The food overall is delicious, one of my favorite places in the Hamptons. Well made, beautiful plates. The staff is usually attentive for refills and needs. The problem is that it's pricey, even with the prix fixe. Great when I can afford it.
Our favorite dish at Stone Creek is the calamari salad starter. We have been coming to this restaurant for at least ten years largely because of this dish. When we were there this time the calamari arrived with no dressing and was completely dry. We asked the server for dressing and she brought us a little cup with some in it. It was not nearly enough for the one of us let alone both of us. We were really disappointed. There was some sort of mix up in the kitchen? Perhaps the usual chef was not there? My husband's steak was ok but not especially good.
First time dining here. I had grilled octopus for appetizer and the duck entree. My husband had the duck meatballs and the filet minon entree. Everything was delicious. Excellent wine list. Very attentive service. Well worth driving over an hour to dine here.
We live in Manhattan & a few times a year; visit my brother-in-law in East Quogue, close to this fantastic restaurant. It is their absolute favorite restaurant, and we have to agree, amazing food always. There are always seasonal specials, and favorites that are available on the menu year round. My husband had the swordfish, I had the mixed seafood with squid ink pasta, my brother-in-law had the lamb chops & his wife had roasted duck breast with grilled peach. No one load a morsel left on their plate. So delicious, highly recommend when in the area!
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Stone Creek Inn. The ambiance and service was lovely - worthy of a special occasion but comfortable. Our appetizers were stupendous - poached oysters with caviar , buerre blanc sauce and spinach, and a luscious foie gras terrain. My husband enjoyed his bison and truffled mashed potatoes. My lamb chops were good, but hard to cut off the bone and the whole plate was not nearly as special as the appetizer - the potatoes were lack luster and the broccoli rabe was tough. We loved the chocolate mousse in the dessert sampler and the panna cotta was also very good.
Prix fixe is an excellent value. The Rabbit was outstanding as was the peach salad. Beet salad lacked sufficient beets; they were lost in the greens. Flavors were superior in all dishes.
The food, ambience and service is always first class at Stone Creek. Both cozy dining rooms are well designed. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! The peach, corn and feta summer salad is great!
we have dined at SC many, many times through the years and have always enjoyed our meals and the service. this evening was another lovely evening; which happened to be our anniversary :-) !! we were greeted very pleasantly by the valets and the hostess. i did mention, in my reservation, that it was our anniversary and our waitress quickly surprised us with 2 glasses of champagne and happy anniversary wishes! very nice!! we followed up with a blood orange martini (yum!!!) and a manhattan. i had checked the menu, on-line, about 4pm (as it states that it is updated at 3) and the Prix fixe did reflect the bouillabaisse for that evening; however, the prix fixe menu we were given did not have it included. i was quite disappointed about that. anyway, we ended up ordering from the a la carte menu instead and i had the tomato watermelon soup which was sensational - light, refreshing and very flavorful. my husband had the beet salad, which he has had numerous times - also very good. for our entrees i ordered the tuna and it was excellent; cooked perfectly and paired perfectly. hubby had the herb and mustard crusted rack of lamb, which could have been a bit more tender, but was still quite good. we didn't have room for dessert, so finished off with an espresso and a coffee. our waitress was extremely pleasant, professional and attentive as was the bus staff. we enjoyed another evening at stone creek and will certainly be back!! thank you!
go to hamptons place. food is very good, service always good. a little noisy but it goes with the territory. there are 2 rooms. we like the first room to the right upon entering better than the big room that is straight ahead, a little more intimate.
Love the food at Stone Creek! Main dining room is the best.
The prixe fixed dinner was a wonderful surprise. You have to arrive early ( check the day and time) and have a terrific two-course meal for $30! More expensive in the regular menu. Fine dining with a comfortable and quiet atmosphere with great food and service.
A good choice for a good meal in pleasant surroundings. The service is good, which is hard to find out east. The food is very good and makes use of local ingredients. Jackets are optional. I usually spend about $100 per person, which is reasonable for the quality.
A bit pricey but everything was delicious, great wine list by glass or bottle, staff was friendly, food came out quickly, the ambiance was beautiful. Highly recommend for a birthday or special occasion.
Excellent meal. And the price fix is a steal. Great ambiance.
Our go-to place for fine dining, special occasions.
One of the best dinners ever. The quality of the food and presentation was amazing. Top notch service.
The food and wine were excellent and the service was perfect.
Absolutely delicious!!! Stone Creek Inn is one of our favorite restaurants! We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary at the perfect place with the perfect meal! You can’t go wrong with the soft shell crab entree! It’s loaded with flavor and leaves your mouth watering and wanting more. The steak special was also fabulous. Everyone from the valets to the hostesses and wait-staff were very professional and courteous.
We love Stone Creek Inn! We go for special occasions at least once a year and all the food is fabulous! We had amazing service as well! As someone who is newly discovered Celiac disease sufferer, I was very pleased on how well they took care of me!
Our favorite restaurant in the Hamptons. We were celebrating my daughters birthday. The best food and best ambiance and best crispy calamari over salad.
Amazing as always!! From Phil at the bar, our server Brian and the awesome Gabriel Stone Creek never disappoints!
LOVE this restaurant - my daughter was visiting from San Francisco and it's the first place she wants to go when she is here. How lucky we are to live 5 minutes away from this amazing place.
Great ! Good food, good service and lovely atmosphere
We frequent Stone Creek year round, and it is always something we look forward to. Food is consistently good, so I won't repost past raves. Rather, I will complement our service staff on this most recent trip. Solicitous but not over bearing, the thing I most want to comment on is that whenever a request was made of the staff, the response was: "right away" "of course" "my pleasure". Never once did I hear the dreaded "NO problem" which really grinds my gears. I noticed it as well as others at my table, and it made the dinner enjoyable to be treated so well.
Great food, very friendly staff and atmosphere. And, it’s a pretty place too.
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Stone Creek Inn on Thursday Aug 3. We had a reservation at 8:00 and they accommodated our request to move it to 7:15. The town or East Quogue is a little gritty, especially by Hamptons standards. The exterior of the building concerned me a bit. It is quite old and not exactly sparkling. I’ve had several bad experiences dining at places like this. Not this time.
The interior had been completely updated at some point in the past 10 years I’d imagine. It is clean and warm. The menu is diverse with several seasonal items rather than daily specials. We started with a cheese platter which was very generous and offered several cheeses. My wife order the chicken which was prepared with crispy skin and a chive infused mashed potatoes. I chose the soft shell crab which was top notch and sat in a medley of fresh vegetables.
The wine list was loaded with excellent wines but objectively overpriced. You will see many of the same selections on other lists at more reasonable levels.
The service was professional and friendly.
I would recommend Stone Creek highly and will return next time I’m in the area.
