Stone Creek - Greenwood Ratings and Reviews
Although we made reservations several weeks in advance, they insisted on sitting us at a small table for 2 by the window, when my wife asked to be seated somewhere else the hostess rolled her eyes at my wife and said she would see if it was possible and then silently complained to her co worker while we patiently waited to be seated. Food was okay, my ribs were to tough to eat but they made it right .
We have been to Stone Creek many times. There really needs to be a modification made to the entrance (the wind blows straight in on the guests waiting). By simply adding another door and using a heater that blows the air out-not in, it would be much more comfortable. We had about an hour wait and many customers were complaining of the cold. During that hour, we watched 10 people leave because there was no room without a reservation. I am not sure you can address this, but it is interesting to note the volume that left in the one hour span and the amount of money the restaurant lost.
Food is always very good and the menu gives you several great options to choose from. It was a "holiday" so louder and busier than usual. Staff handled it very well and service was very good. Manager checked in a couple of times making sure our experience was good.
This was Valentines Day: Stone creek
Sat us 30min late, even though we had a reservation ...
Sat us wrong location
Near door, not waterfall.
A ‘nat’ flew around us and bothered us the entire time.
Both ordered filet mignon, was served an hour and a half after our reservation.
Steak wasn’t cooked correctly.
We had a reservation at 7:45 and at 8:15 I finally asked about our table and they said we
were already seated. Some how we were forgotten, I know it was busy but disappointing when you see everyone else being seat after. I was just being patience, should have spoken up
We have dinner at Stone Creek 1 time during the week nights and if going out with all our couple friends this all of our first choice! The servers, even if they arent yours are AWESOME so friendly beautiful comfy romantic type atmosphere and the steak is better than St Elmos which used to be our go to place! ENJOY
We have ate at this location many time. We actually ate there last Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful experience. This year the food was amazing as always but the service was horrible. We were put in the basement which was fine but unfortunately our waitress was also the bartender. We sat down at 7 and finally got our at 825 leaving us no time for dessert. People around ya were getting their food before us. It took 30 mins to get our salads and probably another 30 to get our food. We’ll go back to stone creek for the great food but will ask for anothe waitress next time. Very disappointed in our Valentine’s Day date!
Food was cold whe received could tell had been sitting awhile. Had a waitress that was VERY slow and didn't care if you needed something or not. There was also another waitress working other half restaurant downstairs and she helped us more than our own waitress. Sad to give that much money for a meal and I could only eat 1 bite. Meat was cold not lukewarm.
We were seated exactly st the time of our reservation. Our server was very hospitable and offered the exact amount of attention to make for a perfect dining experience. The food was superb! My wife and I both were very happy with the quality and taste. Overall one of the nicest experiences we’ve had at dinner and my wife stated that it was one of the nicest valentines days she’s had. Thank you Stonecreek for the excellent service. Especially our waitress!
My 99 year old brother and I (92) have celebrated each of our birthdays for many many years at Stone Creek. We think your filet is the best we have ever eaten, as well as the french onion soup. You also have a fine selection of side dishes. No complaints, although this time it tended to be a bit noisy, but still OK. Stone Creek is our favorite up scale restaurant!
In spite of having changed my arrival time, those folks were accommodating and professionals. It is not easy to find a public place that handles curtesy like those folks. I urge anyone to go and experience the art of dining at a superb outfit like Stone Creek Greenwood.
Wonderful ambiance and great service. Always a pleasant restaurant to visit. The salmon is awesome and so is the tenderloin sandwich. The bar does a great job at mixology especially with their manhattans. We enjoy simply dining at the bar frequently. All staff are very professional and courteous. A go to place to visit neighbors and friends at the bar!
I went for the Devour Indy menu and the food and service were outstanding. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly and the asparagus was tender crisp just the way it should be. The server was attentive without being annoying. I would definitely go back even though it is about a 30 minute drive.
Everything was amazing & we'll be back for sure. The only down side was it is extremely loud & we could barely hear each other when trying to talk across the booth. Being that it was a Saturday being busy was expected, but with the high ceilings and flooring type everything just echoes. So side note, if you are going here for a date, sit next to each other in a booth or at a table ;)
We enjoy Stone Creek Dining's exceptional menu and chose to take advantage of their Devour Indy offering. The restaurant was very busy and we waited ten minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The bar was slow with our waiter saying as he delivered our drinks if we wanted another round we should order it now. The food was excellent except that my salmon was barely cooked in the middle. The waiter noticed almost before I could speak and whisked it away for further cooking and it returned quickly. I believe this experience was a one time issue due to a busy house but hope not to experience it again.
Our visit was extremely long due to the service maybe. She had too much going on. We didnt get bread for about 20 minutes. We waited almost 40 to get our order put in. The salads took another 25 mins. Usually everything is great and arrives timely but nit this time. We will still return. Food was great and the server was extremely polite and friendly.
We had a 5:15 reservation, arrived at 5 and said we'd wait in the bar. We checked back twice and the second time we were told they'd cancelled our reservation. We were seated shortly after and offered 2 free appetizers so things worked out but I was a little surprised.
My husband enjoyed a salmon dish and I enjoyed lemon caper chicken. The chicken chili was very tasty and my husband said the salad was very good which is not something he would normally compliment. I found the bottom layer of the chocolate terrine a little bland and chewy and the top part good. That is my only complaint. Service was good.
