Stone Creek - Greenwood Ratings and Reviews
Great food. We have dined at Stone Creek many times. The food has always been excellent. Usually the service is good but not so much on this visit. The server was inattentive and became pretty invisible during the meal. Had to flag down help to get steak knives are additional items.
We have had a good experience every time we go here. Good food, good service and we like that there is space between the tables and you don’t feel like you are crammed in with other diners. Good atmosphere.
My only complaint this trip was parking but I understand they had two large groups (holidays) so it was not the norm.
We had a party of six. Our waiter was new, and very kind. He could not handle such a load with all his other tables. He got so nervous he spilled water over one our guest at the table. The food was good, the manager did comp some of our meals. That would be the only reason we would go back. It was all six of our first time at this rest.
We had a brand new server - who really wasn't up to the task yet. He was nice but very inefficient. One of the assistants must have alerted the manager who came out twice to check up and follow up. He smoothed things over and refreshingly took full responsibility. We will be back for our annual New Year's dinner with all 8 of us and looking forward to it.
Appetizer was pot sticks and they were way overpriced and just okay. $13. for 5 small ones. Food was good but service was mediocre. Server was new so that may have been part of the issue. We didn’t relieve bread until we were half way done eating dinner which was 45 minutes or so after we sat down.. we were celebrating two birthdays and after asking if they did anything for birthdays we were offered a free brownie sundae. They take reservations which is nice.
Nothing spectacular. Our reservation was at 7:30 p.m. and we were seated early. We had a party of 10 and the two orders of calamari were not hot. None of our food came out hot. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. The waiter was not very people friendly, but he was assisted by someone (bearded gentleman) that was a people person. I believe service may be better earlier in the evening. We still provided a generous tip since restaurants typically do not pay their staff well.
I have had better meals at Applebee's and Bonefish. We may try again another time.
When we got to the restaurant, the hostesses were both on their phones...unacceptable. Thursday evening at 6:15 and the restaurant was not packed so we were confused when they proceeded to seat us in the back, by the door with no one else around when there were plenty of seats on the main level. We can only assume it was because they took one look at our kids and jumped to the conclusion that they would be noisy, which they were not. When we asked the server why, she was confused as well. In the almost 2 hours we were there, no one else got seated even remotely close to us.
The server was pleasant and helpful. Albeit slow at times but be chalked it up to the fact that we were in the nosebleed section and it took a little extra time to get there. The food was very good. I had a delicious short rib dish and my husband's risotto was amazing. Bottom line, great food but a shabby experience overall. The location in Plainfield is so much better for service and I think we will stick to that one from now on.
Both my wife and I had the pick two entrée and chose the same two. The half rack of ribs was very tender and tasty. The sea scallops were very good but only received two - I thought there should be more than just two and there was a $3.00 upcharge to end up with just the two. I ordered the white cheddar scalloped potatoes and the lobster mac and cheese. Both sides were a disappointment in that they were not creamy - seemed dried out. My wife got the risotto and also the grilled asparagus - she said both of her sides were very good.
Awesome overall. I feel like our waiter rushed us and the restaurant was probably 75% empty. Did not come back often to see if we needed anything refeeshed. Continued to remove items on table before we were finished. I was disappointed in this. I have always had a great experience at this establishment. 😕😐
Terrible restaurant for a Stone Creek. Plainfield and Zionsville locations by far better. Restaurant was way overbooked. Had to wait quite a bit of time to be seated on a reservation. The facility was overall unkept. There was literally no available parking spaces. Only valet parking left. We asked the valet guy if we could self park in the valet lot due to no available parking spots and he said we could only do so if we paid the valet fee. The food was horrible. No drink refills. Steak so tough you couldn't even chew it. They set us in basement level right under kitchen with tons of noise above. Just an overall place not worth the price or time or stress of no place to park and poor food and service. Much rather had stayed home and saved the money.
My wife and I along with one of my sons and his wife went to dinner at Stone Creek in Greenwood. Stone Creek has been one of my wife and mine favorite places to dine. It is also my son and his wife favorite places to eat. And because that it was Veterans Day and my entrée was free that made it even better. It was very nice of the company to do what they did. We saw several Vets there that night. I am s ure they all appreciated it. Thank you.
NOTE: you have to make a reservation! Some places you can squeeze in without one, but not here. Manager was super friendly. Food was AMAZING. Jay, our server, was super friendly and took wonderful care of my older parents. Restaurant was extremely busy so dont expect your server every 5 minutes, but he did a good job keeping up. He also comped both my husband and my father's meals for veterans day. Completely unexpected since we were there for a birthday celebration. Great place. Will definitely return for date night even without the comped food. Thanks for a great experience.
