Great atmosphere. In the woods on a hill overlooking the river in a log cabin. Plenty of room around us. Food was excellent and received great. Service was helpful and there when we needed them.
A beautiful setting and a delicious meal. We especially enjoyed the sunset view given to us by Stefan.
service was great, food was good, but a lil spendy for what it was....
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat and it never disappoints!
Highly recommend for celebrating a special occasion.
Excellent service, food and presentation every time.
Took our son-in-law there in honor of earning his master's degree. As always the food was outstanding, and the service was friendly.
Reservations recommended. With such delicious eats, and spectacular view, a crowd is sire to be expected.
Service a little slow for a not so busy night. Pork loin was mediocre.
Took into consideration our 95 year old mothers needs
The food was overpriced for what you got. Don’t bother making a reservation. We had a reservation overlooking the water and we got stuck against the building with a beam in between us
Unfortunately, our first visit to the Stone Cliff Inn was disappointing. We booked a reservation in advance for a birthday celebration requesting outdoor seating. Upon arrival we were told the best table they could offer was a window table. We took the table but asked to be moved outside if anything became available. Several tables opened up but were taken by other parties. The restaurant was very busy and extremely loud. A private event was taking place in the above loft area which enhanced the noise level. We could barely hear each other talk and our waiter apologized for not being able to hear us as he was taking our order. They were clearly understaffed and there was a considerable wait for bar drinks. Despite that, the food came out without too long of a wait. Everything was great until after the first few bites. 2 of the entrees were undercooked. Rather than send them back my husband asked to have his taken off the bill and my son opted to eat the portions of his steak that were not too rare/raw. The waiter did not offer to bring us anything else or even a dessert menu but I think he knew at that point that we were finished. With beads of sweat running down his face he looked over it as well. I think on a different night we may have had a different experience. I’ve read other reviews and they are mostly positive. We may go back and give them another try as it is a charming spot with nice views of the river.
Beautiful Log Cabin in a grand setting. However I was disappointed in that the deck was not open, yet it was a beautiful day in the 70's. I should have asked before making a res. & touting the deck to my guest. The food was wonderfully fresh & delicious, and the server was truly excellent. A very nice experience. Suggestion: when in spring the forecast is so warm, sunny and just so gorgeous from this location, please make an effort to open the deck sooner than the middle of May. You will get more business. The Log Cabin is fine, but we come quite a distance to experience the outside location & good food and service.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The setting high over the Clackamas River was stunning, the food gorgeously plated, perfectly prepared, and delicious! Our server, Kellie, was an absolute delight!!!! An incredible night! Thank you!
The two of us were seated right next to a large party and we couldn't even have a conversation because we couldn't hear each other! My sons $36.00 steak was tasteless and we had to ask for salt and pepper. Overall, a big spendy disappointment!
This was a great evening. The setting, service and food were all outstanding.
It was wonderful!
Very nice and friendly staff. Was a bit l loud and people were dressed inappropriately one guy was dressed in shorts and a shirt with his stomach hanging out. The food was delicious! I am pleased with my experience for the most part. I understand the ambience and dress of other patrons is somewhat beyond your control.
Chelsey was a wonderful server!!
The bar tender made a great old fashioned!
We have gone to Stone Cliff Inn since the beginning. We take all of our out of town guests there, we’ve had BD parties, gatherings Anniversary’s , after funerals...Mothers day, Easter...
WE LOVE THE FOOD, service, the ambiance, the price, the quality!!!!
The view by the Windows is amazing. They were very busy & didn't have a table with a view although the waitress we had was very engaging and gave great service. The food is always fantastic! We even had leftovers.
My girlfriends and I were celebrating a birthday and as always had a very enjoyable meal and exceptional service.
Easter Brunch was amazing and the staff was friendly and attentive. Beautiful location
Nice and unique atmosphere, the food used to be alot better. The quality of food for the price has declined. If you go it is for the area, view and not for the price or food.
Jared is a super awesome waiter. Great food and local Bent Shovel IPA was nice and cold. Fun, family birthday dinner.
This was our 6th year we visited on our anniversary and for me the most disappointing. We were early to get a window seat, no luck, so we were stuck on the edge next to a pole...not the best place! You should take it away...isle to small, husband was bumped by bus boy!
A couple came in minutes after us and they got sat at a table for 4, closer to the window. Then a waitress, who knew them, greeted and helped them 1st, then told our waiter to pay attention to us. He did his job well, like a robot. Everything taken care of but we were just a table. Now the table next to us, she was over there every 5 minutes, how is everything, do you need anything else, it's so good to see you...
I guess the best way to sum it up, we arrived at 5:10, our reservation was at 5:15, we were seated, received our dinner half way through our appetizer, had dessert, paid and were sitting in our car at 6:05pm.
Thanks for coming...good bye.
Not an experience I want to repeat...
Oh, by the way, we were never asked, my husband volunteered the information but it was our 44th wedding anniversary.
Always a treasured treat!!!
Celebrating my brother’s bday. Service was great and the complimentary dessert is my usual criteria for a good restaurant.
Food and service were both outstanding. First time here and everyone really liked it. Will come back
My new favorite restaurant in Oregon City. Everything is lovely there.
This is such a beautiful location. What a great place to go on a Sunday drive.
Four of us went to dinner late Saturday evening. We each ordered something different and shared a nice bottle of wine from Long Shadow Vineyard. Service, food and wine were all fantastic! We will be back.
My wife and I wanted a nice leisurely dinner without kids for the first time in months. Choose Stone Cliff because we heard great things. Made reservations and was seated promptly. Wine list is grossly over priced so we went with single drinks. My wife had the wood blank salmon and risotto. She said it was good. I had the lamb. It was inedible. It was dry and tasteless. Our server offered to replace it but I did not want to make my wife wait. The server did offer to bring a demi to help but even that couldn’t save it. I love lamb and look forward to eating it. The meal was taken off our bill but my wife and I felt like we wasted a night out.
Attractive place with good service
Food was good but overpriced as well as beverages. Service was good. Noise level was way too high. Cleanliness of facility was superb. Too much of a cafeteria feel to the restaurant for as expensive it was. I particularly would like a softer atmosphere. I'd imagine outside seating would be a more enjoyable experience here. I don't recommend the artichoke dip, They give you stale tortilla chips and a 1/2 cup of dip for $14. Complimentary chips and dip at any Mexican Restaurant is 10x better.
This restaurant is in a cliff overlooking the river. Consistently good food in a log cabin setting. Enjoyable any time! :*)
I took my mum, visiting from Australia, here for a birthday lunch and I was let down. A window table became free and I asked our server if we could move, trying to make this a special lunch. (Our food had not arrived when the request was made.) The table remained free almost our entire meal and the server later came and gave us some story about having to chase down the previous guests. We had taken about two bites of our starter and the main meal was served. Our feeling of being rushed continued when a box was dropped off at our table. A charming female server, not our server, came outside when we were attempting to take a photo of the lovely view and offered to take the photo of us. Her kindness helped improve our experience here. Not sure I will take any other guest here in the future.
Stone Cliff is an amazing and romantic place to spend any special occasion.
For the fist time, I have to complain of our bad waiter service. He never came to clean our table, I keep cleaning our bread cramps and moving staff around.
the worse moments, were when we were waiting to offer dessert and coffee, instead of that he bough us our check. He make us feel like he want us the get our of there intermediately.
we are the kind of people that never complain , instead we talk with management and give positive feedback. We really hope management takes this in a higher level and see this as a moment to learn and grow . He really needs to realize, we all deserved to be treated equally with respect and dignity.
I can be contact at any time for further questions.
Fabulous as always. Food and service top notch. Better than high priced Portland restaurant
The food was delicious! Our group was the only one there! We came at an off hour!
Great service, wonderful food, delightful view!
