Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens Ratings and Reviews
The setting and atmosphere was great. According to my husband, they even played metal music in the men’s bathroom, which he thought was unexpected and fun. There was no music playing in the women’s bathroom. I really enjoyed the beer selections and Mac and cheese. However, the steak (not the asada, the other one) was just okay. It may have been the sauce on top that was too sweet and overpowered the meal. My husband and kid enjoyed the impossible burgers and the fingerling potatoes were the best they had. The server had some great suggestions on the food and beer and offered excellent service. We did enjoy the pretzels. I just wished the food was up to par with the service and setting.
I have been to Stone Brewery many times, and would normally refer it as EXCELLENT food and atmosphere. However on this trip I had the worst food I have ever had in my experiences at Stone. My "go-to" is the ceviche and normally it's a knockout. However this time it was flavorless and the "lemon" sauce it was in was some type of buttery oil. It was just awful and not even dumping half a bottle of hot sauce on it could save it. The pretzel and cheese we got for an appetizer was amazing, like always. And the Duck tacos were also good -although the hominy side dish was just disgusting. The turkey/cranberry sandwich was dry, over toasted, and lacking any type of flavor. The meat and cheese appetizer only had ONE meat on it: prosciutto, and the rest was cheese.. and wait for it: PICKLED BROCCOLI. It was probably the worst tasting item out of everything we had. Even the kids beef & broccoli was not very good, but passable since a child was eating it. Overall with tip our bill came to $260 , obviously drinks are included on that. Totally not worth this trip, which is such a letdown because I spoke so highly to our group of visiting relatives about Stone. Now they just think California has crappy food, and low standards.
Service was spotty, server said there was a section change during the middle of dinner service (when we arrived). Waited 15 minutes, asked a busser to find our server who came and apologized. He was nice otherwise, but service wasn't up to par (we go here regularly).
We started out with a brewery tour which was informational and included 4 beer tastes and a souvenir tasting glass.
It was a perfect sunny California day for lunch outside on the patio under the trees near the water fountain. The service was prompt and lunch was good, but the beer was excellent, as expected.
My husband filled his growlers up on the way out.. we wish Stone was a little closer to home but it was definitely worth the drive.
We checked in 30 minutes early but they wouldn’t seat us until 6:30, despite there being plenty of tables.
Heat lamp didn’t work, we moved tables. 30 minutes after reservation time our server finally asked us what drinks we wanted.
Took another 20 minutes to get our drinks.
We ordered appetizers first but then we were told most everything we ordered to eat they were out of. This went back and forth several times until we just ordered kids meals.
Our waitress was kind and hard working but this was a major fail.
We planned a special trip to Stone, coming from Sonoma County, to enjoy and relax after a crazy fire-filled fall season.
We are ver disappointed and sad. This was our special spot that will no longer feel special or bring us any good feelings, sadly.
They comp’ed our beer, which we didn’t ask for.
The tour and beer was awesome! The food wasn't very good. Very pricey and lacked flavor. Two of our dishes tasted cold and old. And then the veggie burgers we ordered were very bland. Our waitress only checked on us twice. The scenery was beautiful! Definitely loved the ambiance. Stones one of my favorite craft beers so I really enjoyed the tour.
Love Stone World Bistro and enjoyed our dinner here on New Year's Eve. Our server was very polite and accommodating and even offered us two samples of there merc machine collaboration IPA (very good, might I add) that went well with the many other beers we tried. My girlfriend suggested this place after we enjoyed our first trip here back in March and, once again, it did not disappoint. Can't wait to come back!
Service was horrible! They sat us at a table where we had to watch people going in and out of the bathroom as our view. We asked to move, they weren’t happy about it. Sat over an hour with no food, then our entrees came out before apps and salads. They corrected it, but when our food did come out it was so cold. Couldn’t tell our waiter because he was learning all about the Volirado beer scene from the table next to us instead of paying attention to his tables. It’s too bad, because the flavors were really good, the food was just so cold it ruined it for our New Year’s Eve dinner. Cheese plate was super yummy though after we finally got it. Of course great beer list. Gardens are really beautiful. Nice outdoor heaters. Live music. I’ll probably give it one more try.
Stone is always a good time. The food is reliably good and the kids' menu is second to none. Love that the younger set can order things like teriyaki salmon over rice. This time we sat right at the edge of the dining area, so the space just behind us was a constant rush of servers and people heading to the bathrooms but it didn't detract too much.
Step from the facade of a mundane factory building into a completely unexpected experience of lush gardens, huge boulders (Stone thematic), great selection of varied beers, excellent food.....and enjoy. The chef has upscale options, appetizers, entrees, vegan, all perfectly seasoned and many incorporating the ingredients of brewing, barley, hops or oats. This will be an awesome insider favorite to share with your friends.....oh, wine list is good, too.
