I love Stone so much. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Their menu hasn't changed much in a while but I appreciate that because I always get the Lamb Ragu Pasta.
Cant wait to go back!
Historic location for our group! Had a great time sharing memories over good food (& beer) in the beer garden.
Salmon was tiny for $26 with nothing too special. Felt the food was very overpriced for the quality. Next time will just order appetizers as i've heard these are better.
Excellent place for a reunion, waitress let us stay for as long as we wanted.
If you make a reservation call and make sure they have the details you requested. Didn't really honor our reservation, still sat us but we had to push to make it happen.
I had researched this place for long time and was super excited to get there. The beer garden was amazing and so was the beer. I tried their impossible Burger and it was delicious. This is some must see and taste location for any beer lover visiting the mini San Diego craft breweries.
Too expensive for what you get. Salmon was good but steak had a LOT of gristle in it. Not good. Wait staff was nice though and the outside patio was fun.
Portions where tooo small & very overpriced for what you got.
The venue itself is terrific; the food was wonderful; and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly and FABULOUS in all ways. (And, of course, the amazing BEER!) Our only concern—very well out of the control of the restaurant—was the noise level generated by airplanes flying directly overhead every few minutes. Deafening. But even that fact would not deter me from returning. Very fun place, but be prepared for regular disruptions in conversations.
Nice spot. Good service. Food was so-so. Fish tacos were certainly nothing special, shrimp was overcooked - also a little overpriced. Mushroom bacon burger very tasty.
Haven't been there in over a year and the dinner menu has changed....not for the better.
Almost everything there is Vegan now. How can a brewery only have maybe two meat dishes on the entire dinner menu? They had two different burger entries but both were Vegan. Please....don't foo foo a brewery menu. That's absurd!
Great time! You can never go wrong!
My husband and I, along with our three young adult children, went here during our vacation in San Diego. The outdoor area was a great environment to enjoy the mild weather. The outdoor heaters kept our table cozy. The food and beer were both very tasty. We enjoyed playing bocce after our meal. Our only complaint was that we were hoping to have another beer while playing bocce, but the bar closed at 9:00.
Wonderful place to DE stress after very hard day at work Service was excellent waiter that helped us that day was very helpful it was our 1st experience any mate great recommendations I would definitely recommend this place to anyone
The night was ruined by extremely slow service. I don’t know why but each time she left was a good 15 min before she returned. It took at least 15 before we even got acknowledged.Good food, beer and ambiance but it was difficult to appreciate with such poor service.
We made a reservation but happened to be able to arrive 30 min early. We checked in with the host and asked to be seated outside, was then told it would be just a few minutes. There was very clearly lots of open tables inside and outside, 25 min later we went back up to the hostess and asked what the delay was and then was seated right then. The hostesses seemed grumpy and annoyed that we requested a heater but brought one over anyway.
We waited at least another 15 min before our server acknowledged our table. It took another 10-15 min before our 1 draft beer and 2 glasses of wine arrived. Once we got this going the rest of the service was OKAY. Our server never asked us if we would want another round, so we didn't order one but definitely would have (so she short sold the brewery at least $20-$25 and herself the additional tip).
The only enjoyable parts was the gift shop (very friendly and helpful ) and the food was very good and original. Overall, I would give it another try but I wouldn't have high expectations on the staff.
Good food, good beer, good atmosphere and kid friendly. Mom, dad and kids all happy!
Truly outstanding menu, beers and service. Really cool outdoor patio.
This place was very cool very dark gave me a vampire feel! Which I’m totally into so we loved it ! The only problem was after a few drinks I spent 75 bucks in the store yikes !
The menu felt pretentious, the waitress was cold, and we were very disappointed that both burger options were meatless which seems weird for a restaurant centered around a BREWERY.
Great food and venue however food and beer a bit more on the expensive side.
We had a great meal, with great service.
The food was way too pricey for the small plates. But the beer and atmosphere were great :) would recommend just for beer and appetizers sort of party
Wonderful facility. We didn't appreciate how huge it was until we were leaving. Would be a great place for groups and onsite taps - and vegans. We were visiting the Liberty Station area to see an art exhibit and fly out the following day. It wasn't the burgers we were anticipating to go with the Stone Brews. My husband had the tempeh burger and I had a pork loin entree. The pork loin had only a trace of the sweet potato on the menu but the flavor of the sauce was wonderful, loin okay. The brownie and icecream we shared for dessert had too much too sweet whipped ?cream? on top. We had some taps from the onsite brewery that aren't bottled and distributed, so that was a treat.
Got a beer flight which I highly recommend. The waitress was very helpful and the seafood was excellent.
Overall great service and great food. Will definitely be going back again.
Service was great and the food was amazing!
The poor service only exacerbated the poor quality of the food and food choices and the high prices didn't help either - would never go back!
Our server Austin was fantastic and not afraid to make recommendations on food or beer. A really good experience.
The experience was amazing. Started out with a flight (enough for two people), had the cheese sandwich lunch which came with a tomato soup and salad- definitely enough to fill you up. My boyfriend got a burger with potatoes and that was delicious as well. Definitely planning to come back for another lunch or dinner date. Right in the heart of liberty station so it's beautiful!
only the most scrumptious buffalo cauliflower I have ever eaten along with charred brussel sprouts, warmed the heart of this cruciferous addict. lamb shank falling off bone with excellent reduction. the choc brownie sundae drowned in whipped heavy cream was nothing short of luscious.
Me + beer, not so much, so you know I go there for the fab food! My companions however, got it on with an assortment of beer and a good time was had by all.
Good food, awesome beer! Definitely recommend a visit
Two out of five in our party got sick!
On vacation in San Diego. Enjoy the many brew pubs that abound. Have had Stone IPA in NY so we thought we’d try the brewpub. Beer and food were awesome in a beautiful garden- like setting.
It was a spacious and quiet restaurant
Spectacular indoor/outdoor restaurant! Always terrific.
We had a great time - wait staff was attentive, the beer and food were great, an all-around good time!
Very nice private seating area next to the fire place. Perfect for date night!
Trecked to SD for a conference and had to hit Stone. The restaurant blew my mind! The beers brewed on site are great and a few are only available on location. We will be back in the summer to take advantage of the outside seating!
The impossible burger was surprisingly good. I didn't order it and only briefly looked at the description before trying it. The taste and texture was like a hamburger patty, but on further reading there's apparently no meat in it. The rest of the food was pretty good, but I have to admit I was there for the beers. I shared 2 flights with my extended family of varied tastes and we all found a few beers we really liked. If I lived in or near SD I'd be a regular.
