The atmosphere can't be beat and there is a noise level but it fits in with all the people and kids. The koi fish are great, the playing areas, everything. I haven't been there for years. The foilage is just beautiful. I thought the nachos were great...then we got two salads which they enjoyed. The impossible hamburger was not that special, no lettuce or tomato, dressing? It seemed like the brussel sprouts were over cooked and the ribs were dry. Sorry, you wanted to know. I would return though -

Just OK. Wish there was some type of actual bistro burger. Menu seemed to be designed for vegetarians but it was still tasty for what it was. Systems were down and our server was overwhelmed. Zero manager present which shows me they don’t support their staff during stressful times. Love the place but I’m sure the next visit will be better.

On this particular evening the food and the service were not up to par. The menu has changed and we both felt the food options were limited. The evening started with our waitress dumping a glass of Prosecco all over the table and us. she told us we would get a glass of champagne for free, but in the end we were charged and paid for both glasses. The service was very slow and we had to flag down people other than our waitress to bring us napkins, refills on water, condiments. $120, which includes the tip for two glasses of Prosecco, shrimp ceviche and BBQ ribs appetizers and a grilled cheese short rib sandwich with potato chips and pork belly stir fry as entrees. At this price tag, there are too many other options in Escondido where the food and the service are really good. I will say the venue at Stone is amazing, but since neither of us drink beer, with the changes to the menu, quality of food and service...we will probably not be coming back. It was my husband's birthday, and I wish I had selected another restaurant.

I understand people goes there for the beer and beautiful place but prices for the quality of food they serve is unfair.
I will not go back there for the food at all.

In my reservation, I specified that we had a person with a walker and it was a birthday celebration. The person who seated us had us winding through the restaurant and outside tables racing to the table she was seating us at while the member of our party with the walker was unable to keep up. Our reservation was for five she seated us at a table with 3 chairs that was bumped up against a heater and a folded up umbrella and brought us a 4th chair and started to run away. We got the fifth chair and had significant difficulty getting the chairs arranged with where she placed the walker and where the person with the walker ended up sitting, the umbrella and heater. I mentioned that I had specified this in the reservation, she stated that she never got the details. OK, but you see an elderly person with a walker, have some consideration! Even thought I specified this was for a birthday, when we were finished with our dinner, we were handed the check and not even an offer of ordering desert

I think Stone Brewery is first and foremost a brewery that happens to serve food. The menu is not very extensive and offers very few options to those with dietary limitations. As someone who can’t eat gluten and doesn’t eat beef or pork I literally had two salad options at lunch. Of the 4 adults and two kids at our table, we were half and half on enjoying our meals. It has a nice atmosphere, especially in nice weather when the patio is open. I’ve had great service there and seriously poor service as we did yesterday. For the prices, unless beer is your primary goal, I’d eat elsewhere.

Excellent outdoor dining area!!! All restaurants should do something similar! Good food and great beer. If you haven’t been you should know that the bathroom stall doors are heavy and stay closed so you might want to peek under for feet then give a good shove to open; every trip to the restroom there’d be at least one woman waiting for a door to open when the stalls were empty because of this.

It’s a really cool place. Sit outside and go at night if weather permits. Stone beer is simply the best. Food was good, would have liked more options. My server didn’t stop by to check often enough - I wanted another beer but had to wait. If we come back to San Diego we will go again. 👍

Two of our party of four ordered the ribs, and while the ribs were indeed very fine, I was surprised that nothing came with them. There was a "special salad" at full price offered so that might have been expected for one to order, but still .... We love Stone and have been going regularly since it opened. Happy to see the menu change a bit from time to time, but wasn't expecting this one.

It was chilly on the patio so we moved our table closer to the heater - worked great! The only issue then was children running between our table and the planter (tight squeeze) back and forth to the play area - I think! It was like eating in a playground while trying to have a date night dinner. Not sure how to solve this but I did ask them to not run back and forth and that seemed to work. Although I was waiting for a parent to come and tell me not to talk to their child!
Overall a good experience! My food was good as well as my wife’s. The beers are just ok. The service was good but the guy was frantically trying to work a lot of tables.

Always love visiting this location. The food is good, although I do wish more vegetarian, and non-spicy dishes were available. We also miss the old pretzels (I believe it was a plate of 3 sourdough pretzels previously); and we actually fell in love with the fried olives that were temporarily on the menu when they were transitioning to their current pretzel item. The atmosphere is beautiful, fabulous in fact, but hard to relax and truly take in, with the amount of children running around. Don't get me wrong, we adore children, but it's a little less comfortable when you nearly spill your beer at a brewery because a child is running at you in the beer gardens. I don't want to sound negative at all about any of my visits here, because again, we always love to come here (and we come as often as we can even though we live over an hour away!) This Brewery is our absolute favorite place to be!

We have been to Stone brewery many times, and I've never been disappointed. Had the tacos yesterday with a pale ale. So good! We sat out in the patio which is so beautiful and full of bird songs. Absolutely love Stone Brewery - friendly staff, excellent food, and beautiful, pleasant ambience.

The food and ambiance was great but for it not being that crowded the service was slow. Took the tour and it was a little long but you could cut it short and try. The beers were good according to my friends I took there for a birthday, and got one to take home. Overall good experience and would go back again!

Food was ok but some dishes where too spicy. Service was ok by waiter, but bus boy was rude, spilling water all over. Staff bringing the dishes brought us wrong order and also her attitude was bad.
Was my mother 80 birthday celebration and dis not get a birthday song or any detail at all.

Nice setting as always but could be better if staff was better trained.

Not a great venue for birthdays. They don’t take any information from open table so you have to remind them about your special occasion- or not so special occasion because the staff could care less.

I visited from Long Beach to have a birthday lunch with my 87year old Dad. It was easy to get to, and I booked a reservation online through my iPhone for outdoor seating.
Service was friendly and efficient. Beer was tasty and food was great. I had the tacos and my Dad had the veggie burger.
