Stockpot Broiler Ratings and Reviews
Another great dinner!!! Special for the night was offered and my wife took that fish meal which she said was excellent. Special order of one salad was accommodated. I ordered the rockfish without the rice and fingerling potatoes and green beans were offered in its place. Food was prepared perfectly. Had the lemoncello cake which was the best dessert in the restaurant. Total recommend it. Our server Sharon was great and made us feel like family which we always do.
I love this local landmark restaurant. What I love most is the consistency. It always has good food, good service, and a lovely golf course view!
What I love most is that you can have a conversation with your dinner partner. Not so at many of the trendy downtown spots.
This is my favorite restaurant!
Our go-to date night place. Pork chops and short ribs are amazing alone but everything we’ve tried has been wonderful. The wine list is the best I’ve seen so far in Portland and the staff can actually explain it all!!! In my top two to take my “foodie” wife for the perfect night.
Excellent customer service, excellent food, nice quiet atmosphere. It was busy but not loud at all. Hubby and I both got the French Onion soup, delicious and not too hot. I had the bouillabaisse which was beyond excellent. The lemon cake was delicious. My only critique would be that the crab stuffed mushrooms really didn't need so much cheese.
I think the Stock Pot is very reliable choice especially for a group. The menu is varied enough to find something for everyone. I think they have a respectable wine list. Food quality is very good and consistent, not in my opinion outstanding hence my four star rating.
(For full transparency – I spoke to the restaurant manager today and she offered me a coupon to come back and try this place again which I declined – but she did listen to my concerns.)
First tip:. When you are seated in the restaurant if they attempt to see you next to the window closest to the bar refuse that table. You might as will be sitting on the edge of the freeway trying to have dinner or lunch.
The traffic is ridiculous - that table is loud - and you'll watch people go back-and-forth in front of you and you won't be able to flag down your server because they will be focused on going to the next destination.
Upon arrival I had thought I had stepped into a vacant old folks home. The restaurant had that old musty smell mixed with cleaner. There wasn’t anyone at the hostess station – so I stepped back and there was a young lady reclining in an office chair on her phone but she didn’t acknowledge me at all. So I went back to the hostess station and a very nice young lady arrived – my husband then walked in the door and they sat us at a table near the window. Our server appeared – she was very cheerful and then things started getting really weird.
To begin with there were like maybe five tables in the whole dining room and there were many servers walking back-and-forth from one end of the restaurant to the other - to the bar and no one seem to have any purpose other than to rush around, and our table that was like a speedway – everyone was zooming all around. The food was off, the service was off, and the staff was very kind until you have to send something back to the kitchen, then they become rude. We split one of the large pork chop and had two sides, no cocktails, just water and no dessert. By the time the dessert menu was brought out we just wanted to get the heck out of Dodge because it was odd. The total tab was 59 bucks - dry pork chops, weird bread, and okayish scalloped potatoes weirdest experience ever.
The Stockpot is our go-to place for good dining for special occasions or visiting friends.
Prime Rib on weekends, a to-die-for lamb shank, seafood entrees, a warm-bacon dressing spinich salad, and a mature and friendly staff all make for a more up-scale, delicious and filling evening.
This is the only non-ethnic, non-franchise, tablecloth and linen napkin place that we know of in Beaverton.
At the last minute we decided to eat out and really wanted a steak (without driving downtown). We checked Yelp and saw Stockpot Boiler listed pretty close to the top so we decided to try it out. The prime rib was awesome! Cooked perfectly and I was able to get double veggies instead of a potato. My only comment would be to add some horseradish (or a lot more if it was in there) to the accompanying sauce. My spouse's NY Strip was a little tough but he said it was cooked perfectly also.
The wine list had quite a few local wines (always a plus!) and was reasonable. We will definitely come back here again to try other foods and happy hour.
We came based on a recommendation. Upon arrival, the host simply walked over to table dropped menus and walked away. Did not even wait for anyone to sit or ask if table was ok.
First server was nice but not the cleanest looking person. Main server also nice and generally ok. While sitting and waiting we noticed a person coming towards the pastry table looking like a tradesman, dirty pants with multiple stains on them we then realized they worked there as they were straightening up the table and food on it. Not a good look at all.
We ordered food and Chicken and waffles was 2 orders and when they came the plate was drowned in syrup the waffles very dark almost burned brown, the chicken had to be cooked in old oil as it was also very dark brown and extra crispy. Chicken itself was good. The overall plate was too sweet to eat. We left over half on both plates. We also ordered eggs benedict with potatoes. They were so burned and black they broke in half. The server offered to get fresh potatoes but it was too long to wait with the other food already there. I personally eat out for business a lot, over 150 times a year so I am used to situations and it effects if you go back,
In conclusion, the service was poor and at no point after we made couple of comments did anyone do anything about correcting the problem. No offers or change in price etc. I paid and tipped the servers as they still worked but I will not go back at any time. Unfortunate as its close by.
Occasion was a birthday celebration with some family members. We were greeted immediately and did not have to wait to be seated. Food and service were outstanding and the birthday recognition was nice. Good variety of menu selections, local products featured, portions are good, food was well prepared and price was reasonable. Food is well prepared and presented and service was prompt, attentive and suggestions were helpful. Atmosphere was supportive of quiet conversations.
Our meal was great. Service didn’t meet expectations in the beginning. We had to go back to the hostess to find our server. But once we’d been acknowledged and ordered, service was great too. The shrimp and grits for Sunday brunch is so yummy, the best I’ve ever had. Steak Oscar, ordered MR, was a little under done. All the food was served hot on warm plates. We’ll definitely go back.
We ordered champagne but it would be nice to have a choice of brands.
This restaurant never lets us down. We sat in our favorite server's section as we requested and we were spoiled as we always are. Sharon is the best and Robin came by to say hello. Had the prime rib and it was wonderful. This is our go to restaurant and we never leave hungry or disappointed.
Food was great but table was tight and next to walkway so people were always going by our table. Too many chairs around the table for its size so we felt cramped. Corkage fee was a little high. Service was very good. Overall it was very good so I would recommend it.
The filet mignon was great, the veggies that came with, not so great.
Husband ordered salmon, sent it back, too fishy and salty. Waittess came right back with prime rib, which was great. Coconut prawns appetizer was very good. As was the wedge salad. Waitress was very nice as was the young man filling our water glasses. One suggestion, the spot lights in the ceiling shine right in your eyes at the table, need adjusting.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Great windows and view.
Waitstaff was attentive without being pushy
AWESOME wedge salad. Lukewarm lobster bisque, but great flavor.
Very adequate wine list, very reasonable prices.
Entrees cooked to perfection, outstanding flavors.
Cute ice cream sundae to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!!
