The experience overall was great. Would go there again for sure.
The only negative was they were “out of” the first three drinks we ordered; but even then the drinks we got were delicious.
Server and ambiance were great, the food was not worth it. Ordered avocado chilaquiles and there was maybe a quarter of an avocado in it. The eggs were over cooked. Not worth the price.
Excellent service! Food was terrific, especially the Wagyu Burger.
Fantastic dining experience!
Great, friendly service. Food was wonderful. Topped off the night with their fabulous Texas Peach dessert. Highly recommend
Perfect! Went for a birthday and it happened to be restaurant week! Everything we ate was great! And the drinks were good as well. Our waiter was amazing! Atmosphere was nice but relaxed enough. Definitely going back for date night soon.
Last weekend for restaurant week. We thought their menu was so good, we came back after the preview weekend. Everything was delish. The truffled maitake mushrooms - lightly fried wonderful. The wagyu meatloaf with bacon hash. The only change was dessert of butterscotch pot du creme was good, but I liked the toffee croissant bread pudding better from preview weekend. Perry did a great job serving and with recommendations. We will definitely be back.
It was an awesome experience- while l have dined here before my friend hadn’t. Our waiter as well as the Mgr were very pleasant and attentive ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a party of 5 and everyone was thoroughly pleased with their food. The servers were top knotch. The drinks superb. Excellent experience and evening. $$$ but worth it!!!
Sadly we visited this restaurant last week and it was totally different experience.
Cold food, wrong food, etc.
We visited for restaurant week as we always try to find a new place we have never eaten at to make it a regular. The food and busy atmosphere was wonderful. It was my first time here. My server however was not the best at all! Thank goodness for the other team members that stepped in to assist my server. It took him a long time to put in our drink orders to the point that my initial drink I ordered they were out of. However I saw people who came after me get that drink before I was told they ran out of one of the ingredients. He was slow doing everything but I slowly realized it wasn’t just at our table it was at all the tables he had. The place is very lively and I love the busy atmosphere and space. I will return but will probably sit at the bar if it is a busy night so this will have to be a solo spot not a girls night out spot.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was great! Garlic noodles were out of this world. Service was great. We sat on the patio and while it was a hot night they had fans and misters which made it very pleasant
The food was excellent along with the service. My wife and I love finding local gems in the Bishop Arts Neighborhood.
The food was excellent and the service was awesome as well!
Great food and comfortable environment. I will definitely go back.
The food was over priced for the quality. We felt the green beans were greasy and overly spiced. The mushrooms were odd to eat and boring. The meatballs were good. Spaghetti was good. Chicken was good. Bread pudding was fair at best. Peach dessert was good. But everything was sub par for the price.
Service was ok.
Delicious everything, especially the watermelon panella and the Korean fried chicken. I had the Stock and Barrel gin and tonic and it was perfect and beautiful. Looking forward to going again.
Happened upon Restaurant Week and decided to try it with the wine pairing. My husband and I got different items so we could try more and everything was delicious. Highly recommend!!
Food and service were amazing!
Stock and Barrel was great. Christian, our waiter, went out of his way to make us comfortable. We got a corner table to ensure enough spacing. All waiters were masked. Food was awesome. We went for Restaurant Week and the meatloaf, shrimp and spaghetti were all delicious. Wyaugi meatball appetizer was surprisingly tasty. We will go back.
Great wait staff, great food , a little noisy . Dessert was wonderful
This is one of those places you come back to everytime you think about .." best meal I've had.."
Very disappointing. Shrimp was good. Meatloaf too dense. Sent back avocado tostado as it was flavorless. Waiter was totally spaced out (but nice enough just couldn’t get anything right). Don’t think we will be back which is sad as we were looking forward to it based on friends’ recommendation.
Normally I like this restaurant very much. They accepted our reservation at 8:30 but almost immediately upon sitting down and getting a drink we were told the kitchen was closing in five minutes. They continued to serve us at a breakneck pace that really ruined our meal. Why would they accept reservations that required them to rush us out of the restaurant? We could have easily gone somewhere else. I asked to speak to the manager about it and he refused - just sent the waiter back to apologize again - which was pretty poor form. Anyway, it’s really disappointing. I’ve been eating there for many years and never had anything like that happen.
AMAZING!! Great food & service
I went for restaurant week and loved my appetizer, entree and dessert. Also, the pineapple mezcalita was delicious! I'm definitely going back to try other menu items.
Food was excellent. Bar service was very slow - it took longer to get our beer than our food. Date night dinner that ended up lasting all of 40 minutes. Took a while for our waiter to take our drink order, took our food order while we were waiting on our drinks, barely got out drinks before our food was brought out. Would have ordered another round of drinks, but we did not see our waiter before we were finished eating. Not a great experience but the food was delicious and the beer was nice and cold. Patio is a nice little spot.
So awesome!! We had a hard time deciding what to get. Everything was delicious. The entrees were perfectly proportioned but the side veggies were too small. We look forward to returning
As fine a meal as you can find in Dallas for the price. Every note hit from app to entre to desert. My new go to place.
Always amazing!! I’ll be back! ❤️❤️
Delicious food and out standing service!
Restaurant week preview. First time to eat in the dining room. We each did a starter of wagyu meatballs. For the main, I had the crab with fried spaghetti and my husband had the wagyu meatloaf. Both were delicious, slight edge to the meatloaf. I don't typically like meatloaf because it tends to be more loaf than meat - not so here. Loved the bacon hash also. H said he liked both meatballs and meatloaf, but wouldn't order together - flavors very similar. Spaghetti was very good - crab was sweet and tender. Dessert I had croissant toffee bread pudding H had the Texas peaches - both good, but the bread pudding was the best. We enjoyed dinner very much. Server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy so service slowed down a bit while we were there. We will definitely be back. Parking is scarce here. Ambiance - it is loud - conversation is difficult.
Always enjoy dining there. Highly recommend this establishment.
Great fun good food… perfect for mom and dad date night
The service was great, the food not so much. The dish I got was over salted and almost inedible.
My wife and I were here for dinner on a Wednesday night. Nothing fancy, just dinner. Paxton was our server. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and described the menu specials to a tee. We both had 2 cocktails, I had 2 Long Island iced teas that the bartender did a terrific job on. My wife had a cocktail with gin for her 1st cocktail and the old reliable ranch water for her second. All were great! For our apps we had the pork belly and the wagyu meatballs. Both were delicious and packed with flavor. For our entrees my wife went with the burger, medium well. I tried the jumbo lump crab fried spaghetti, a mouth full in more ways than one. Surprisingly it was delicious and I may even take a stab at preparing this at home. I can honestly without a doubt say the food and drinks were superb to this point. Lastly for dessert we were offered something with peaches and toffee croissant bread pudding. Bread pudding!…say less! I’m a grandma’s bread pudding connoisseur! It was brought to the table with 2 pieces and 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream on top! Yum! The 1st bite was delicious for both my wife and I the second bite was even more tasty…for me, unfortunately for my wife I can’t say the same. She discovered a piece of hair in hers and that was the end of my Toffee Bread Pudding dream. I was able to get Paxton’s attention and notify him of our discovery and while he was extremely apologetic and offered to bring us out another dessert which I was all for, my wife was DONE! That being said, we paid our tab and walked out totally satisfied with the apps, entrees and drinks. I kept thinking in the back of my mind, “why didn’t a manager come over and speak to us about this mishap”. We didn’t want anything free or even an apology, but just acknowledgement of what we had just discovered in the bread pudding I was so ready to consume. Maybe the manager was too busy, maybe they thought it was my wife’s hair? Hopefully they have cameras and can verify it wasn’t. Who knows!
Absolutely incredible food and drinks. We loved our waiter as well.
THE best server on the planet! Drinks were phenomenal and the plates were so delicious. Can't say enough about how much we loved it. It will be a staple each time we visit the Bishop Arts District!
Food and service were excellent
Very pleasant dining experience.
