My friends and I had a great meal at the sticky wicket and a great time dancing afterwards! Definitely coming back

Good fish and great deal on the wings with a beer. The fries are typical frozen ones - was hoping for better.

We had friend from the mainland visiting and our group had 4 adults and 3 minors. Love that the Sticky Wicket has an area not only inside but upstairs on their lovely rooftop patio were we decided to plant ourselves last minute. The staff were very accommodating, we had one of our group members in a wheelchair and they had an elevator she could come up to the rooftop on. The service, food and timing was all good and drinks were great! Perfect place on a sunny afternoon... even rooftop beach volleyball court

My mother and I had an early dinner here and both really enjoyed our meals. The service was great and staff friendly. Food was hot when we received it and delicious. Will definitely eat here again next time we're in Victoria.

29th Birthday was a smashing success. Great service, reservations were accommodating and waitress was very on it. We bought cake and they put it in the fridge for us. We also brought balloons that were placed at our table. Thumbs up Sticky Wicket!

A great dinner can only be made better by great service. We followed our servers recommendations and she (Brenna) was spot on. Everything that was recommended was well prepared and tasty.
The Strath is lucky to have a server like Brenna. She was friendly, courteous, clever, respectful and sharp as a tack.
We would definitely come back here and will recommend to others.
Thank you.

We went to "the sticky" as it was one of the few downtown restaurants open Christmas Eve and we had also had dinner there Christmas Eve last year. Last year was much better! Most of us had the burger and beer special and added sides. Who knew a side of onion rings could cost $8.25... While tasty, the burgers were way overcooked and the buns were very dry. I was fine but three others that ate the same burgers were racing for the bathroom once we arrived home. Not our best experience there but our expectations were not very high to begin with. The beer was cold and the food was warm. Our server was great and we didn't have to wait long for anything.

This is a fun pub with EXCELLENT food. It has multiple bars and seating areas and I can't wait to go back. The wait staff in the game room were very rude, but the staff in other areas were great.

I am always very pleased with the food and service at the Sticky Wicket. The steak and lobster was exceptional value and perfectly cooked. Being a pub the noise level is louder than I like. That was because of the music which was too loud for me.

We used open table to make reservations. We checked policy about minors (kids are 17 & 18 yrs old) prior to making the reservation. When we got to Sticky Wickett, the hostess was engrossed in a lengthy phone conversation. When she finally looked up, she asked my kids for ID. I explained that the kids were not 19 yet. The hostess refused to seat usas the entire family section was reserved for a group an hour later. It was totally empty at the time we arrived. I assured the hostess that we would be quick and would leave within the hour. She refused and sent us away. I believe the hostess name was Michelle. Additionally she went on to say negative things about the open table app and how it doesn't function with their system. This was after I asked why the pub was showing seating availability when the seating section was not available. As I do research through open table and review menus carefully to ensure the entire family is able to find something on the menu that they would enjoy to eat, I was not impressed with the lack of consideration, blatant disregard for my time and the negativity. I would highly recommend a course in customer service.

My ratings are low because I didn't get to try the food.

The service was excellent, which was appreciated since the food was not so great. We started with dry ribs, which were pretty tasty but lacking some sort of dip. My friends gluten free bun was atrocious, and while she was still upbeat about it "at least they offer gluten free" she did not touch the bun. (The server removed the charge, which was appreciated). Everything about our experience, besides the service, was just so-so. With so many great downtown restaurants available, I can say with confidence, we won't be back to the sticky wicket... At least for a meal.

The chicken was overdone, though tasty. The cherry salsa was a disappointment. The rice with shredded veggies on top was excellent. The service was fast and efficient.

We arrived for our reservations about 25 minutes early. When we arrived, the restaurant was about only half full with many tables marked as reserved. It was surprising to us that we had to wait over 10 minutes for the host to find a table for our party. We were finally taken to a table only large enough for 2 in the bar area - where we later asked to be reseated for a table large enough to accommodate our party of 4.

We ordered the baked brie for an appetizer - it was a fairly bland dish, served slightly warmed.

When it came to ordering our mains, we asked the server what her favorite dishes were and what she would order if she were ordering. She recommended the top dishes that her customers prefer, but couldn't give us her own recommendation.

I ordered the salmon, which was served with sautéed vegetables and rice. The salmon was over cooked and dry. The sautéed vegetables and rice were cooked perfectly.

My husband ordered the Mac and Cheese and it was phenomenal. Creamy with a generous amount of bacon mixed in with the pasta and baked until crispy on top.

We only saw our server a couple of times during our meal, and she never checked back in after the food was delivered.

Overall, the experience was just okay. Rough start, with one clear winner and a couple of misses. Given the wealth of amazing places to eat in Victoria, this one doesn't live up to the potential it could or should be.

We went to the Sticky Wicket because the name suggested an English Pup. Unfortunately, this was absolutely not the case. There was no decor, no food items, no atmosphere that suggest an English Pub other than one display of sporting goods that had a Cricket bat in the display. If the restuarant is going to continue using the same name I suggest they work up a better menu and decor otherwise change the name and there will be no disappointment.

Pub style, family dining but separate from the actual pub (and any antics there). Good food, good beer. Kid friendly food with healthier options! High chairs, colouring etc. as well. Tasty, well priced food. Love this as an local owned restaurant and a great alternative to chains and the average family style restaurants. Will be back soon!
