Filet mignon was excellent. Potatoes and asparagus disappoint. Caesar was pretty good. We waited for 20 minutes for seating and any service and 45 minutes to receive dinner then 15 minutes later server was pressing us to finish and order dessert. Felt very rushed. Overpriced experience and would never go again. The hotel gets away with below standard dining because guests have few options.

Food was very good, service excellent. Would go again. One thing I would say, it is pricey as an alternative pub to the main dining room at the Mount Washington Inn. Would have liked a more cost friendly option…

We have had excellent meals at Stickney’s in the past, especially their steaks. Last night we opted to try their chicken and dumplings. We were quite dissatisfied with the dish as there was not a dumpling to be seen. The chicken was very tough and I ended up not eating it but rather just had the broth that was in the dish. The waitperson was excellent; the food was not.

Very disappointing. We ate there 6/22/21 and seems that, like the rest of Omni's Bretton Woods Mt Washington complex, Stickneys is suffering from a severe manpower shortage and inability to hire / retain qualified employees. I had the burger and fries , which are difficult to ruin but was no better than you can get anywhere else for half the price. In all fairness, the caprese salad was very good but, sadly, was also the high point of an otherwise lackluster meal. The experience became interesting when my wife had the audacity to request bread or a dinner roll to accompany the salad. After the request was passed up the restaurant chain of command, a gentleman finally emerged to announce "no bread board." Apparently , whether or not requested by guests, Stickney's endorses a low carb / Paleo diet. Our daughter had chicken with dumplings. Rather than simmer them together for a delicious traditional dish, Stickney thought it best to instead over bake a large piece of chicken until it retained no moisture, then plop it on top of dumplings which, for reasons we cannot fathom, seemed to include small parts of cold shredded lettuce. Result was a slab of rubber poultry resting on a bed of stuff that had no business being combined. My wife opted for the "Lobster Poutine" which we guess was supposed to be a New England version of the dish popular north of the border. The Stickney version was more akin to a frightening Russian Vladimir Putin than the Canadian dish on which it was based. There was more lobster in the name than on the plate, so most of the dish consisted of a mess of soggy goop. In sum, it was a poor excuse for what we had hoped to be an enjoyable experience in a historical establishment that wants to hold itself out as an exemplar of the service industry. Based on our meals, that reality is fast slipping away or is already in the rearview mirror.

When we arrived, the hostess couldn’t find our reservation even though I had the confirmation email on my phone. She was very unwelcoming. She said she could go ahead and allow us to dine, but not at a prime table. She seated us at a table right outside the kitchen doors so there was the constant activity of servers running in and out of the kitchen. The waiter was nice, but seemed new or something. He said they aren’t allowed to serve bread (what??) and that they had no vegetables to substitute for the asparagus even though there were several other vegetables on the menu. He came back later and said he found some Brussels sprouts. The food was ordinary, at best. The French fries arrived completely cold. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail was warm and smelled like it had gone bad. Ugh. We didn’t have dessert because we couldn’t wait to leave.

Cannot beat the view or ambiance. The food was okay or good, but not great. For the price, the portions are small and they do not serve bread. However, we didn't go there for the food, the view is amazing. A drink on the veranda might suffice.

I understand that restaurants have had a tough time but the food at Stickney’s was terrible. I ordered a simple salad to start and the salad was brown and wilted. I took one bite and did not take another. We then ordered the tuna special. The tuna was partially frozen in parts and did not appear fresh and it was served with the equivalent of dry minute rice and bland broccolini. It was my mistake not to ask about the price of the “special” and I was shocked when the bill came and they had the nerve to charge $48 dollars per entree. Very disappointing.

We were warned to stay away from the steaks as they are not as good as the price justified. The lobster Mac and cheese was a pleasant surprise and the waiter was phenomenal. I would recommend skipping desserts as both the cheesecake and the bread pudding lacked flavor

Overall very good dinner with our family. The lobster Mac and cheese didn’t have any lobster in it besides very, very small pieces which was disappointing. Kids food was great and service was top knotch as well. $18 martinis that weren’t filled up to the top and cold grilled chicken on the salad made us feel like service here was slipping after 7 years of great meals.

Everything was perfect except the food. I feel it was extremely overpriced for the dinner we had. My filet mignon was ordered medium-rare and came out more medium-well. The calamari was mostly batter crumbs with small pieces of calamari thrown in the mix. But the service and atmosphere made up for it.

The food had been changed with our fav appetizer (we used to come here a lot) mozzarella triangles with a Dijon sauce removed from the menu. The salmon was bathed in a mustard sauce, which it never was before, and I always get a ghirardellli chocolate martini which was not good at all this time and the waiter said he had never heard of it when I literally ordered it a week ago. Service was slow-obviously short staffed. Very disappointed. Not up to my Washington standards and way to expensive for what we ordered. Just not good. If this were my first visit, I would not return, and if quality stays as we experienced, we won’t be coming back.

For such a beautiful hotel, the food is terrible. The quinoa entree I had was almost inedible. The service was weak. The prices were very high. $8.75 for a Tuckerman draft. We also had dinner in the grand ballroom and that dinner was inedible. Gnocchi were dry, chewy and there was almost no sauce. The salad was terrible. We were so disappointed. This is an expensive hotel with food not deserving in a cheap diner. As much as I love the Omni Mt. Washington I won’t be going back unless I hear the food parallels the quality of the hotel.

I ordered the filet MW which came xtra well done ... so well done that the meat was grey inside. It was dry and not worth $50!! The potato’s tasted like they had been sitting in a Buffett line for hours - soft and tasteless. Our kids Mac and Cheese was flavorless, it was very watered down. Super disappointed by all of our meals! The service was great though!

Our family has dined at Stickney’s in the past and have always loved it. But last night was different. First off, the dinner menu has changed. It is no longer casual pub fare. While there was fish and chips, there were no burgers or sandwiches. Anything pub food was replaced with steaks costing between $75-$125 each. Which is nearly as much as the main dining room. Second, a restaurant of this caliber, in a hotel as reputable as the Omni Mt Washington, should be a leading example of how to prepare meals safely for those with food allergies. But unfortunately this is not what we found last night. One of our children has Celiac disease. In the past, the menu always clearly indicated which dishes were, or could be made, gluten free. But this has changed. There were no GF indicators anywhere on the menu. Our waiter was nice and helped recommend some GF options, which we ordered. But unfortunately, as my child was nearing the completion of her meal she found a piece of cooked wheat pasta hidden in her entree. It shouldn’t have been there. She was in tears, knowing the unpleasant evening that was going to soon follow. What’s worse, when we brought this to the managers attention they didn’t really seem alarmed or remorseful. We received no sincere apology. What concessions were made seemed like more of a CYA gesture than genuine concern. We were told the chefs preparing the meal were inexperienced interns. This is hardly how food for people with severe food allergies should be prepared. People pay a premium to stay and/or eat at the Omni Mt Washington. And given that premium, the Omni Mt Washington should be a leader on food safety for people with allergies. Guests should have full confidence they will not get ill from dining in one of their restaurants. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for our family. And my daughter may never feel safe to dine or stay there again.
