Great brunch destination in beautiful Steveston Village

It had been years since our last dinner at Steveston Seafood House, having been underwhelmed in the past. Our recent visit was really exceptional. We were crowd of six ranging from two 18 year olds to my mom in her 70s. The service was really outstanding. Friendly and attentive. The meals were all delicious. Very well worth the price, that was consistent with that level of dining. We enjoyed the evening so much that we made brunch reservations for the next day on our way out. Highly recommended when you're looking for a nice meal in Steveston.

This was our first dinner out in 3 1/2 months. Always the best!

It was just our second restaurant outing after “reopening”. Everything was in line with health regulations. It felt really normal which was nice. A very good evening!

The staff are very friendly The food is amazing The environment is lovely I will recommend everybody to try this once.

Food is excellent but they have no understanding of social distancing. Servers leaning over your shoulder for serving, topping up water, clearing dishes, etc. They get within 1 foot of your face (and don't use masks). Great food but won't be back until post-covid.

Our family chose Steveston Seafood House for our special occasion and 1st dining experience since covid. The dining room was as quaint as always, with tables spread apart but still warm and cozy. Service was excellent as always. I had the spot prawn appetizer, which was amazing!!! There is also a spot prawn dinner special, they get their catch fresh daily from Steveston docks. Yummy!

Favorite go to spot for special occasions, definitely recommend.

My appetizers were excellant. My wife’s was quite disappointing (Crab, Shrimp and Avacado salad). We were both very pleased with our main course dishes. The wine was a little limited (due to Covid-19 issues) and a little expensive but was excellant.

We LOVE Steveston Seafood House. Great service, great food, great staff... we go there for their beef carpaccio and their variety of seafood entrees and lovely desserts... just beautiful food.

Very quiet with few customers. Tables are spaced well and server was great. Went out of the way to make birthday dinner special... nice touches like message in the menus. Food was adequate; good value buck a shuck oysters and calamari was excellent!

Double your tip!

It was so great to get out to a fabulous dinner at the Steveston Seafood House. And so great to see our friends there again after the long break. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. They always treat my Mom so well, no wonder this is her favourite spot.
Remember that these folks have been keeping themselves alive with take-out only for more than 2 months. If you are amongst the lucky ones that have been able to earn a full income during thus time, consider sharing a bit of your good fortune with the staff. Double your usual tip. It doesn't cost you all that much and will help them get by as they operate at 50% or less capacity. We all love our restaurants. Show them the love and double your tip!

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food! My favourites are the miso sable fish, halibut, crab shrimp avocado stack and calamari. Nice and attentive staff and owner.

The Crab Crepes on the Brunch menu was wonderful. It was a toss up between having the crepes or French Toast. Must make another trip. Delicious.

Everything was wonderful, we both had the Duck, which was delicious, and thanks to our great server Brianne, she recommended a great wine to go with it. Can always count on a terrific experience at the Seafood House.

Our server was quite impolite went to celebrate my birthday. Was really looking forward to it I always tell people how great steveston is. Our server made remarks about how much I ordered, took away our plates before we were finished eating, didn't attend to our water being refilled, rolled her eyes at me numerous times. Created an unpleasant experience that ultimately put a bad taste in my mouth.

I booked Steveston Seafood House for a business dinner attended by 16. We had a lovely private space. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and the service was outstanding. I can highly recommend this restaurant for any group or even a nice dinner for 2.

Food great and service really good attentive but not overbearing. Great place to celebrate any occasion or just have a lovely quite meal.

Steveston Seafood House is my favorite restaurant. The food is always cooked to perfection and very tasty.

Always excellent here. Starting off with prawn cocktail and oysters, then trying sea bass for the first time and finishing with a luscious lemon blueberry dessert and icewine. Everything was perfectly prepared and I would definitely have sea bass again. It's a bit of work but well worth it.

Good service food was excellent

It was our 24th wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. Food was excellent, as always. The restaurant was full however you could have a nice quiet conversation and no need to yell at each other. We have been to this restaurant many many times and never disappointed. The owner, Shane always comes around and chats. Definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our 2.5 hours dining here with the food nicely paced out to enjoy our bottle of wine. Great service and attention.

Food was very tasty, plentiful, and served hot. Our server was fantastic!!!

We like their hot fresh crispy bread dipped with mussels tomato sauce. We had tried their Valentine's weekend special..whole Atlantic lobster was so fresh and big portion on risotto, mussels with tomato sauce, small wings fresh oystees.

The food quantity and quality is exceptional.

We had a lovely brunch with a friend. My friend and I had the stuffed crepes with crab and shrimp. Lots of crab. My husband had eggs Bennie with ham. There were three choices. He thought it was very good. We sat and chatted for awhile after breakfast and there was no rush to leave. We would go again.

Valentines dinner. Had preset 3 course dinner.
Amazing service and great food.

We had their Valentine Special and it was wonderful, as always. Stewart looked after us, and suggested a nice wine to have with our Steak. Stewart did a marvelous job serving us, it is like having dinner with the family. Best place in town for a great evening out. We will be back. Diane makes the best martini.

Very average food with a quiet ambience. We had the appetizer platter for two people which was OK. Main we had the pasta of the day (short rib pappardelle) and miso sable fish. Dessert was a tramisu. I recalled the waitress told us that the pasta has mushroom but I didn't see any on the plate. The pasta was not on par with some of the good Italian restaurants out there as the taste was just some salt and barbeque sauce. Sablefish was OK but the sides (rice and bell pepper) were not very good. The rice was very soggy. Lastly, the tiramisu was a disappointment. The description of the dessert made it sound like an authentic Italian tiramisu with lady fingers...etc...but it turned out to be a sponge cake. The ambience was nice though but I don't think we will go back for the food.

We were a party of 7 and a child and were seated in a private room and the ambience and service were excellent eg. white tablecloth and soothing music. We were there for brunch and I had seafood crepes but my husband said it smelled old or frozen. He had the French toast which was tasty. My daughter said her fruit was old or I thought the watermelon was wilted looking and cut a few days before and kept in the fridge. My son in law had the hash but could not tell the type of sausages were in it as he is German and loves sausages. I think you pay for the ambience and not go for the food. They said they would not go again as they thought the food did not have good turnover and too expensive $22.00 for the price of the crepes. The menu should have had more breakfast types items Eg. ham and eggs, omelettes, pancakes or a signature dish.
