Stevenson's Sushi & Spirits
Chef Jay and his team create delectable sushi creations nightly. Relax, enjoy the views and sip on a tropical, martini, beer or sake. Stevenson's also boasts an extensive selection of Whiskeys, Cognac, Port and Wine.
Stevenson's is the place for sushi & spirits.
Very fresh sushi and sashimi. Sashimi could be sliced a little thinner. Service was attentive. Excellent price for the product. Chef came out to check on my wife’s dietary requirements which was great/
Staying the Hyatt Grand. Expected better service. It took over an hour for food to go out.
My husband and I visited Stevenson's on our recent trip to Kauai. We were excited to try sushi on the island and wanted to visit this restaurant to scope it out for our daughter and future-son-in law who will be visiting Hawaii this summer. From the moment we walked into Stevenson's we were charmed. We sat at the bar for a glass of wine before we sat down for dinner. The wine list was varied and interesting. After our wine, we were seated at our table and greeted by our server, John. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us great suggestions and then gave us some time to decide our choices. We aren't the adventurous type when it comes to sushi so we stayed with more conventional choices. We start with Shrimp Tempura for our appetizer. The portion was perfect, as was the dish itself. For our main course, we shared the maki rolls, Spicy Tuna, California Roll, Crunchy, and Cucumber. We were floored. The food was beyond delicious and was so fresh. We enjoyed the Mango martini and the Tiramisushi for dessert. If you are visiting Kauai, Stevenson's is a "must try" dining experience.
Best dinner we had on the island. Have the dynamite lobster for sure.
Black rock roll was one of the best rolls I've ever had! Definitely recommend this.
Restaurant was beautiful and service attentive but not too much. The sashimi platter was pretty good (selection was limited but was offered was delicious) and the poke bowls were tasty (though expensive for what you got). The fish and prawn salad was mediocre, sadly.
It was very good but the problem was they were working on the kitchen and had a limited menu.
Great service, wonderful sushi
The sushi was fantastic. The baked lobster I can’t remember the full name of it is why we go there. It is amazing. Service was OK I judge it on whether dirty plates get taken off the table before the meal ends and I’d say that didn’t really happen totally, it was OK. And they didn’t ask us if we were kamaiana, so we can get the discount. So that’s a definite minus
Loved the food and atmosphere. Service could have been better, as we waited quite a bit for our server to attend to us during our dinner. Other than that we loved it.
Family dinner... it was great our server Johnny was fantastic always around never a moment we were looking for him it was honestly a great experience food was awesome! Definitely will be going back!
Always a good experience. Lisa is normally our server, but we were seated outside of her area. Our server mentioned that Lisa told her we have been in before. Good to be recognized. Speaks highly of the staff and particularly of Lisa. The Lobster Dynamite certainly lives up to its name. Awesome.
Great food and service. Sushi is incredibly fresh and well prepared.
The food was exceptional and we were served fairly quickly despite it being Valentine’s Day. Great portions and quality food. Loved it!
It was amazing!:)) beautiful Valentine’s Day dinner! Awesome service and amazing yummy food! Sushi is bomb!
My husband & I really enjoyed our dinner at Stephenson's. We are guest at the hotel, and were delighted with the convenience & great service. The sushi was delicious...a Stephenson's roll & a made to order salmon avocado roll. Starter was miso soup, and we finished with tiramisu-sushi roll...outstanding! We look forward to our next meal at this fine establishment.
Lisa has been our server several times and is always good. Friendly and professional at the same time. The sushi pizza and the lobster dynamite are outstanding. We are in Hawaii every year and look forward to Stevenson’s.
Stevensons has the best sushi on the Southside and even Kauai. The fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth, the rolls are filled with flavor and of course the setting is gorgeous.
Spendy. Bit everything in Kauai is. Great service and food. Nice atmosphere.
Beautiful restaurant, great views. LOVE the Crunchy roll, spicy tuna, salmon sashimi. Great service
JT is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! Must order the Toro and dynamite lobster 🤤
Sushi and service were very good. The setting was intimate.
Had sushi twice here, both times it was delicious. Fancy sushi rolls but it’s really good! We stayed at the grand Hyatt so it was convenient. Service is also great!
Beautiful restaurant. Great food. On the pricier side for sushi, but when you see the hotel it’s set in you will understand! I would definitely go back.
service was pretty good, a little slow, but the food was so yummy! very cute restaurant.
Excellent sushi. Service was spot on. Great views from the terrace
Living on the island for over 39 years, this is my first time to Stevensons. With the encouragement of my now 30 something year old kids, we went there for dinner and it was fabulous. The sushi was great, the lobster dish was very tasty. I would definitely come back again. The view was to die for!
Shrimp tempura, maki, salmon, and garden salad ALL delicious! First night at the Grand Hyatt and it was lovely. Be sure to make a reservation.
Ok Sushi, nothing special. We expected a lot more, considering the location and positioning.
Fantastic sushi!!! Great service!! Lots of selection. Everything was above average.
Chef David Le Dee is extraordinary! A very talented chef with a great joie de vivre. We’re such admirers!
Our visit was amazing as always 👍🏽
As always Chef Jay and his team were outstanding with the sushi. Absolutely amazing. The service was exemplary.
Sushi was not the quality expected for the price. Service was ok but did not get 1 of the entrees ordered.
Every time we go come to Kauai, we make it a point to come here. Awesome place.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, service was excellent. Very friendly staff.
Food was outstanding. Some of the best sushi in Hawaii.
Great food and service.
We experienced terrible service. We specifically noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a 50th birthday - first of all, there was no recognition of this. Second, after ordering over $200 worth of food, our server FORGOT to enter in our entree orders. We were waiting for OVER 45 minutes, until our server came around and asked if we wanted the check - we had not received the food, and she was surprised and went to the sushi station and PLACED the order right then. Seriously? Other tables, while we were waiting for our main course, had arrived, eaten, and had dessert by the time we got our 4 sushi rolls. This was incredibly disappointing and there was no apology from our server. Highly dissatisfied with our experience and the restaurant made no effort to account for this. I can deal with waiting 20-30 minutes for food, but 45 minutes for sushi? And the sushi itself was prepared hurriedly and messily, obviously.
Good food, disorganized, inattentive service, wonderful view from the patio. Not worth the price.
