Steven's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The food was inedible- tough filet mignon and pasta that was overwhelmed by garlic. I told the waitress and she asked me if I wanted to box it to take home!! I asked for the check and she tried to sell me desserts. The manager said, because I consumed the “ filet mignon”, he could not refund me anything. The whole dish of pasta sat.
I had been to Steven's on a couple other occasions. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I was disappointed in the quality of the food and a couple of other items. I ordered the ribeye steak which was prepared medium rare. The steak was tender and had a good flavor. The steak came with an overdone baked potato which you could tell had been warmed for far too long. I had a red wine with the meal which was not served in a proper glass. I was taken aback by the server when she poured me a taste then proceeded to fill my glass after I approved of the wine. The place is definitely not as classy as they want you to think. This could have been a really bad experience if the steak didn't save the experience.
Consistently tasty and a nice, quality variety of food. The trout was sensational, as was the rib eye. Prime rib was fine. Very lively, festive environment. Great service from our waitperson. She was a gem and everything was nicely done to make our experience wonderful.
food was not done correctly, and when I asked for something else they charged me for this too! they never apologized, the waiter was arrogant at first but later on chilled, the bar is away from the dinning tables but they had karaoke and it made our quiet dinner not quiet, we could hardly talk to each other, the only nice guy was the valet parking owner and everyone else was into there own thing, we tried to talk to the others and tell them that it was loud and it was our anniversary, they didn't care. they didn't even bother to locate us in a quieter room, it was a nightmare, we will never good back again. we are retired us marines and my husband a pro bowler and I a dr. D.O retired, I was so disgusted but made the best of this. I also told the waiter that the singer sounded like if they stepped on a tail of a cat. omg never again. honestly. the food was also with no taste, and almost impossible to get a waiter we had to tell the receptionist to go get them/him.
Noise wise, it was loud as there were parties and get togethers that day. The party that was waiting for the big room to be ready was standing all around our table making us feel a bit crowded and uncomfortable.
As for the food it was not what Stevens used to be, it has changed significantly.
The Big Jim's Plate is always my favorite go to plate when eating here. It's a prime rib entree, so tasty and juicy and best of all, the plate is big enough to share between two people, yay! Also, love their French Onion Soup! So cheesy and delicious! The beef broth is hearty, while the sweet caramelized onions compliment the soup nicely. Winner, winner with this meal! Service here is always friendly and on point :)
Francis was incredible--again--the best food server in the USA
Francis should be everyone dream for receiving the finest service ever
The food was so fantastic and the service even better
The parking valet is so attentive and kind as is the Matre D

I have eaten at far "fancier" steakhouses, but have rarely cut into a stake so tender, so delicious and so perfectly presented. Not a single misstep -- from the sour dough roles that literally melt in your mouth, to the perfectly seasoned veggies (not overcooked, smothered in some kind of oily sauce or bland), the garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and savory. We went to Steven's because it's been there forever, we love old-school restaurants, and we were curious. Who knew it was also better than just about any other steakhouse we've been to (and we've been to most of 'em over the years). Now we do, and we'll be back!
My friend and I went to Steven's for our last dinner on vacation. Dino said he wanted a steak. We loved it. Amazing steak. AMAZING seafood appetizer! King crab, jumbo shrimp, avocado and tomato and and and, so good. Maria was kind and very helpful serving, as well. Go splurge big at Steven's, it's a great way to spend an evening. I'll go back to visit, the next Los Angeles trip I take. Thanks Maria and Steven's!
Really disappointed in the service and the quality of food. We have been here before and the only thing that seems to be good is the Prime rib or the filet. Everything else is mediocre. I ordered the Tournedos of beef-two petit filets bacon wrapped. Doesn't work when you like steak medium or medium rare. Flavor of the beef tasted like it had been frozen-no flavor. Bacon is charred on some areas, undercooked other sides. My friends ordered the New York steak...it was an odd cut. Frankly, it looked like a basic sirloin steak and was tough and flavorless. I won't be returning. Too expensive for mediocre steak. We were also sat in a large room away from the main restaurant. No one in the room...felt really weird. The whole experience was a big bummer.
