Unfortunately they kept moving us as they had a party of 19 coming in and didn’t estimate the time properly. We had no problem moving but then they tried to squeeze us into a small area. I spoke to manager and they moved us to a larger table. The point being is they should’ve figured out the time prior to our reservation. We would’ve rather waited 5-10 minutes longer and get the correct table instead of moving us 3 times! The gave us dessert on the house! Big deal. It was my son’s birthday and I was upset considering I go to Lellis quite often. Not cool on their part!!
We were a party of 4,two couples having dinner, and our tab was $500 with tip! I thought that it was very over priced for what we had. The food was good, but not special or memorable. The antipasto tray was very disappointing for an appetizer. The restaurant did become smoky several times due to a table side beef preparation and my children complained that I smelled like smoke when I came home. We had a fun time and a good meal, but I am not sure that I will be back for the price.
The original Lelli's was the best. A high standard to live up to. I have eaten at this location s few times and I am sad to say that this last dining experience was very disappointing. A party of four and all of us had the same feelings. The soup and salad were great, but our main dishes did not live up to the standard we had experienced prior.
We were VERY disappointed in our recent experience. It took 1 hour & 40 minutes to receive our entree’s, four of us were dining.
My steak came rare, I ordered medium, which I sent back. When delivered I couldn’t even cut the NY Strip, the texture was”wet” and extremely fatty.
My wife & one other guest ordered Eggplant Parmesan, it was inedible. It was hard, thick and not cooked thru.
Then when I paid my bill, my credit card was used on another guests check.
Free dessert was delivered to our table, which was nice. But, if the manager actually engaged with us to help solve the food quality issues, it could have been a very different experience for us.
We had been there in the past and had great experiences, but I can’t recommend this restaurant.
We have not been impressed in the past at Lellis but decided to give them another try due to the change in the head chef. Our waiter was absolutely terrible. He was quite unkempt looking and was not at all professional and was not appropriate for the level of clientele. For a venue that is supposed to be noted for their wine list, we ordered our selections and twice they could not find a particular bottle. Terrible customer service as the owner did not attempt to offer a better bottle as a replacement for not having/finding the selections on their list. We live very close to this restaurant and hoped it had gotten better, but will not be back. The food had improved as we had hoped, but the experience was totally overshadowed by the waitstaff.
We were celebrating a special birthday & requested a booth. We were seated at booth #52 for 2. It was opposite the bar, cozy & romantic. Our server was Marie, & she was excellent! I would recommend the restaurant, although it is pricey, it is worth doing for special occasions. I would request the booth & the server. The food was excellent!
Hate the garlic bread. So overwhelmed by how much garlic and butter is on it. Missed having good Italian bread. Minestrone soup was so salty that everyone complained. Very disappointed and even though wait staff attempted to appease us, just was not a memorable experience. For the same price Capital Grille is a much better choice.
After booking on open table we arrived with an office staff to find a hand written notice on the from door they were closed for Halloween.
No prior notice they were closed for a non-holiday and embarrassing as we had the entire office staff.
Had to scramble for a replacement.
Our first visit and disappointed. Appetizers were enjoyed by the four of us. Minestrone was very interesting. All entrees were disappointing-overlooked beef and veal. Pasta dish enormous but uninteresting. Quantity does not make up for quality. There are several other restaurants in the area which better carry off service, presentation and overall cuisine. Rushing busboys who kicked my chair many times did not improve the experience.
Excellent experience, only one issue.
Our server was great in the beginning, until she asked me why I didn't eat my artichoke appetizer, I am a vegetarian and expected it to be good. It was awful, very bitter, inedible.
We all 4 agreed. As much as our bill was close to $500, you would think she would have removed it from our bill.
That's all, otherwise everything was great.
It was my second time here and it wasn't great. They were busy and there was a real problem getting our food out of the kitchen. The waiter seemed distracted and I could hear other tables complaining too. The manager made no adjustment for this. Not sure I will return.
