Steven Lelli's on the Green Ratings and Reviews
Hate the garlic bread. So overwhelmed by how much garlic and butter is on it. Missed having good Italian bread. Minestrone soup was so salty that everyone complained. Very disappointed and even though wait staff attempted to appease us, just was not a memorable experience. For the same price Capital Grille is a much better choice.
After booking on open table we arrived with an office staff to find a hand written notice on the from door they were closed for Halloween.
No prior notice they were closed for a non-holiday and embarrassing as we had the entire office staff.
Had to scramble for a replacement.
Our first visit and disappointed. Appetizers were enjoyed by the four of us. Minestrone was very interesting. All entrees were disappointing-overlooked beef and veal. Pasta dish enormous but uninteresting. Quantity does not make up for quality. There are several other restaurants in the area which better carry off service, presentation and overall cuisine. Rushing busboys who kicked my chair many times did not improve the experience.
Excellent experience, only one issue.
Our server was great in the beginning, until she asked me why I didn't eat my artichoke appetizer, I am a vegetarian and expected it to be good. It was awful, very bitter, inedible.
We all 4 agreed. As much as our bill was close to $500, you would think she would have removed it from our bill.
That's all, otherwise everything was great.
It was my second time here and it wasn't great. They were busy and there was a real problem getting our food out of the kitchen. The waiter seemed distracted and I could hear other tables complaining too. The manager made no adjustment for this. Not sure I will return.
This restaurant has been praised by a number of friends, so we chose to celebrate a happy occasion there. Perhaps it was the regular chef's night off (Wednesday), but the food was really poor. The 1939 Salad was overdressed, the soup was too salty, the Dover Sole was not at all flaky, the sirloin steak had to be sent back because it was overdone. We spent $154 and will not be back. The scallops with prosciutto was delicious, so there was a bright spot; and another bright spot was the fact that I was with someone I loved very much. No more Lelli's for us, however.
The food was not up to their usual standards. However, we had a pretty awful waitress and I think she let the food sit a bit. We love to get Lorenzo as our waiter. As he is the best in the place. Large parties all around us. Loud. The wait staff could barely pass. All and all it was ok. It is usually much better.
Lelli's is an old-school on a golf course restaurant. Servers are in black jackets and very politem but could have been a bit more attentive. We were served nice warm rolls and garlic bread shortly after sitting. My companions ordered veal dishes and egg parm and liked it. I ordered a salad which was good, but not great. The lettuce was overdressed and the chicken was a bit tough. Dessert was a highlight with a very nice carrot cake and chocolate cake. I would go back, but there are better values. However, it is a delightful scene to look out on the first tee.
After much consideration, we returned to find that are food experience was great. Have always loved the filet at Lelli's however we have had many disappointing meals, meat not cooked well and sides not up to standard. This visit was GREAT, improvement on the potatoes, they were wonderful, the vegetables were great as well. The steak was the best we have had in years!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing, especially their filet with zip sauce! I was celebrating a birthday dinner with three of my friends, unfortunately the waitperson was rather annoying and kind of put a damper on our dinner. Never the less I will be back!
OUR WAITER (SANFORD)WAS ABOVE AVERAGE,ALWAYS
AVAILABLE AT THE RIGHT TIMES.
FOOD WAS ABOVE AVERAGE,FILET WAS PREPAIRED PERFECTLY.
VEAL LELLIS,WAS ALSO PREPAIRED PERFECTLY,CUT IT WITH A FORK,
NO KNIFE NECESSARY.
DESSERT WAS PREPARED TABLESIDE,I WOULD RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.
The food was excellent but the service could have been better. Maybe we just hit it on a bad day but you would expect excellent service from a place like this. We will go back and I would expect a better service experience next time. the atmosphere reminded us of a throw back to the old Italian restaurants with very low lighting and red tones throughout the restaurant.
Frankly spositas much better and less expensive. The only thing that was better at lelli's was there side spaghetti. The antipasto, salad, filet, potato and veggie were hands down so much better at spositas and probably at least 1/3 less. Mediocre at best and will not be back. Our waitress Though our waitress was very good
Disappointing first visit. Even with a reservation, we had to wait too long for a table while watching others being seated. Then we (two) were seated at a very uncomfortable bench - nicely facing the bar tvs, but tough to get into behind the table. The waitress was excellent, but the entrees were unremarkable. Even the rolls were dry and rock hard. Am sorry to say we have no desire to return.
