One of our favorite restaurants in Dallas. Jason provided excellent service and food was delicious.
The ambiance and service were nice, and the food tasted great. They even brought me a HUGE piece of chocolate cake for my birthday, which was probably the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Overall, though, I think it was overpriced for what it was. ($69 for crab legs, ~$50 for a steak.) I ordered the stuffed lobster, which was actually reasonably priced, but got sooooo sick for the next 2 hours after I ate it. I have digestive issues so I don't blame the restaurant (anything fatty is a problem for me), but I won't go back as a result. Again, not their fault, but I guess there was a lot of butter and/or cream in the seafood, and I didn't realize that when I ordered it...usually steamed crab or lobster is no problem, but it was mixed with some other stuff. Anyway, it tasted great and no one else got sick, so I know it's just me.
Excellent service and food made our 45th wedding anniversary a very special occasion!
We went there for our anniversary and I cannot say enough about how enjoyable our evening was from the ambiance, our server and the food. We will definitely go back again.
You know you will not be disappointed Steaks are always good. I had redfish special. It was excellent. Service is attentive
As always, the food and service was excellent.
Steve Field's remains one of the most consistent restaurants we frequent. The waiters are always excellent and very helpful and, you can tell, want to please the customer. The food and preparation is always top quality. From steaks to seafood you can't go wrong. However, I want to emphasize this is comfort food. Nothing super creative on the menu. Nice wine list with good diversity. You can't go wrong here. Highly recommend.
We were in a hurry and they did all they could to accommodate us. Food was excellent! Great service.
It is my favorite restaurant in Dallas area. I recommend this restaurant for special occasions.
Great food, service, drinks. Music from bar is
Too loud in dining room. Next time I’ll ask for table far as possible from the bar
Very good service & meal
Excellent food and great service. We went for a special and they treated us as special guests. The drinks were wonderful and the food delicious. I would recommend this place for special occasions and for those of you with lots of money on every day dining.
We spent moment in the bar area where they have live piano player and singer. The music was fun and we did a sing-along with him. I highly recommend an evening here.
Food is always good. This time our waiter wasn’t the best, and the table behind us had a small child clanging the plates and glasses with silverware. I know the restaurant isn’t responsible for the child’s behavior, but I don’t like to pay $35 + a plate and be wanting to leave because of other patrons.
Great atmosphere, service and the meal and wine were outstanding . Had a yummy spinach salad and the Alaskan halibut with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. Our group shared wondeful key lime pie.
This is one of my favorite restaurants!
This place is a gem. It's like going to a private club where that take very good care of you. While not inventive, it does the classics spot-on. Great ingredients, cooked beautifully. Steve Fields has been our go to place for years.
Steve Fields is, and always has been, a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is warm, in my opinion VERY romantic, and quiet. The clientele is mature, which I love. Christina has waited on us many times, and she’s fabulous. She takes very good care of her customers. You can’t go wrong with a reservation at Steve Fields. ❤️
everything was perfect, food excellent, wait staff was perfect. and birthday cake was excellent.
Great food and great service. It's my go to place for special occasions.
The huge fake red rose arrangement in the center of the dining room is dirty looking and screams that the room is long overdue for a makeover. We were seated at a table for two. We asked to be seated at a larger table. Although half of the dining room was empty, we were told that they were reserved. When we left 90 minutes later 85% of those tables were still empty. How odd. The food was good and our waiter was excellent. Not one of my favorites!
The service was excellent. I arrived early and sat at the bar for a drink where Tisha (sp?) took good cars of me. When the rest of the party arrived we moved to the dining area where Diana delivered an over the top level of service. She explained the specials and handled all of our questions easily.
The food was excellent and prepared as we asked for it. Will be telling my friends and colleagues about this place.
3 out of 5 meals were over cooked. Service was good
Steve Fields is always a favorite dining choice and Friday night’s dinner did not disappoint! We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a large lobster tail and side of king crab, along with the ever delicious beef medallions. The lobster was especially delicious! Eddie provided top notch service and Jeff stopped by to be sure everything was perfect. The meal was finished off with a delicious piece of chocolate birthday cake!
We always have such a nice time when we come here! Perfect steak and service. We had a really quiet booth which was very nice. After we ate, we stopped into the bar to enjoy the music.
Awesome experience all the way around. A perfect anniversary setting. Waiter was awesome. Steak cooked to perfection. Couldn’t ask for a better evening!
Phenomenal service and delicious steak! Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!
This was a special occasion for my wife’s birthday. Also this was a place that I had proposed to her upon our marriage. The scene was very nice good music and also great food.
We had an enjoyable evening out at Steve Fields with one exception - there were two women seated at the bar who were very loud and appeared to be quite drunk when they arrived at 7pm. When we finished dinner at 8:30, they had just left and one of them could barely stand up because she was so drunk. She probably should have been cutoff at the bar a lot earlier. Other than this, we enjoyed our night out.
Had the Valentine menu. The wedge salad is my favorite and Steve Fields never disappoints us! The blue cheese and bacon are so good! My other favorite is the carrot cake!! OMG...it is the absolute best I have ever had! I brought over half of mine home to have the next day, but got up to an empty fridge. My son beat me to it! I was so sad!!
Steve was a great choice for Valentines Day. Their price fix meal was fabulous, and contained great choices.
Excellent as always!!!
Calamari and fried spinach appetizer was great
The service was amazing. Food was superb and the manager even came out and greeted us and gave us a slice of cake for our anniversary. We will most definitely return.
Food, service and ambience. With all the great restaurants in north Texas, Steve Fields is still a stand out.
Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Great food, very good music, pleasant atmosphere. I do recommend it!
Good ambiance and not much noise so we could talk easily
Great - Thanks
Steve Fields is our "Go To" place for special occasions or just a wonderful night out. The food is consistently outstanding and the service is superb. The ambiance is truly upscale yet casual attire is quite acceptable. We will continue to be loyal diners as long as the doors are open.
Worst restaurant experience in my life.
Drove 1 hour to eat there for Valentines Day, along the way there was a accident on the road which was going to make me 15 mins late for my reservation.
I called and spoke to the hostess and mentioned I would be running late, she rescheduled my appointment from 9:30 to 9:50PM. With most restaurant normal business hours being till 10PM, I went ahead and asked her what time they close just so I’m not “that” guy that shows up 10 mins before closing time. She mentioned “we close at eleven”. Never mentioned the restaurant seating section closes at 10:00PM and the bar is what stays open till 11:00.
If I call and mention that I’m coming from an hour away and there is an accident on the road due to rainy weather and that I will be running late for my dinner reservation that’s at 9:50PM, and the restaurant seating closes within 10 mins, why would the hostess not mention that? Why would she tell me the restaurant closes at 11:00PM (not mentioning the bar is what closes at 11:00).
To top it all off, I asked for a manager once I got to the restaurant at 10:05PM because the hostess that answered my call seemed shaky and could not answer me when I asked why did she tell me they closed at 11:00PM without clarifying that the dinner section, that I made a reservation for for Valentine’s Day with my wife, closes within 10 mins of my reservation?
To make it all better, the manager comes and tells me, “sorry, we’re closed”. When I explained the situation, the managers reply to was “We didn’t beg you to come or drive an hour to get here”.
That answer coming from a manager blew my mind. I would never ever think about ever taking time out of my day to go to a restaurant managed by such a unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude individual.
Food was delicious. We shared a crab cake appetizer, and I had a crab and corn chowder, lobster, and chocolate cake. Service was great. We were seated in an inside area, and although I’m all for romantic candlelight, it was really dark in there. Overall, still had a wonderful time.
ok we had a reservation we where put in a room we had to use flashlight to see menu we spent 560.00 to Saturday in the dark
