Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge Ratings and Reviews
We had spent my birthday at the restaurant and thought we would try our anniversary there this year instead of Capital Grill. The food was good but the piano bar was very loud and it was hard to have a conversation. We found the cobwebs on the lights disturbing and the plastic flowers we were sitting next too could have use some dusting as well. Comparing the anniversary we had with Capital and Steve's we preferred Capital.
Wonderful. As always, wonderful. The streaks are always perfect. On this trip, my father had the stone crabs we're superlative. They ship them in from Joe's in Miami. They were perfect and they have duplicated the mustard dip they serve at Joe's.
The service was, as always, perfect.
No better meal in Dallas.
The bar is just perfect. The wine list wonderful. The music the best in Dallas.
Was looking for a nice place to take my family while visiting them in Plano. This really fit the bill. The menu had several appealing items, and the wine list was amazing. I don't believe I've ever seen so many nice California wines outside of California. Our waiter was attentive, our meals were delicious. The carrot cake dessert option is a real winner.
We went for New Years Eve. The cost was definitely reasonable compared to some other places I have been for NYE. The food and service was outstanding. My glass never ran empty and our waitress was always around, yet unobtrusive. Under normal circumstances I would recommend this for an anniversary or date, etc... The Beef Crostini's were to die for.
Excellent service and food. It was a very busy New Year's Eve but the service was on time and attentive. I generally do not like fixed menus when dining out but I understand the need to control the order flow through the kitchen on a holiday night. Nonetheless the menu selection was outstanding. Prime rib was very tasty and tender. The filet mignon was on the small side but tasty and cooked to order. The wait staff was very accommodating and made sure that the food was prepared to our tastes. Outstanding dining for any occasion. We will be back again soon.
We asked For a table close to the entrance because of my Fathers Parkinson’s and we were placed in a far back room. We could not have been further from the entrance. Our waitress was fine in the beginning however, while we eating she sat a table of 13, so now we were second and given to two other waiters. One was fine but the second with a beard would glare and give dirty looks. Then when I said I understand that she had another big table but if we could just get our dessert to go that would be great. He became enraged, “that’s my wife , and if you have a problem with her.... “ no I was just asking for our desserts. He then just glared. I tried to ask for a manager but my bearded friend would never come back to our table. It was a very disappointing end to an average meal. I hope other people don’t get in the middle of this married wait staff.
Went out regular night out. Was seated right away by friendly hostess. Waitress was very good but seemed a little rushed.
I ordered the 12 oz lobster tail and it was incredible. The wedge salad had some odd dressing but not blue cheese as a traditional one would, I guess I should had read description a little better.
My wife got the 3 filet mignon and she ordered medium rare. Two of the three were not cooked evenly. It was left too long on one side cooking it week done and barely left on the other side. Taste was good but not as it should be.
Due to all the choices in Dallas, not sure if we will go back
My family and I have been going to Steve Fields for over 10 years and have always had a great meal. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we finally sat down around 7:15. Our meals came out extremely late. We also didn't get our sides with our meal. We ordered the mushrooms, lobster mash, and mac and cheese. Actually we forgot about the sides because everything was such a cluster. My wife, kids, and mother actually left and went to the car. I had 2 bites of my steak and asked for the check. Fun night not to be able to enjoy your meal. My steak and potatoes are in my fridge as I type this. I spent $70 on a steak that I will not eat.
Jordan takes care of us every Christmas Eve dinner. She is attentive and the absolute best. We highly recommend Steve Fields to anyone. Exceptional Food and great atmosphere. Staff has been there for many many years. It's hard to find a restaurant where this isn't high turnover and this place keeps it's employees. We've had Jordan as our waitress for 5 or 6 years now. Couldn't ask for a better experience and will continue to go back.
The place was noisy and the ambience was non existent. The waiter was friendly, but the orders all came back wrong. The prime ribs were overcooked and dry. The potatoes were all wrong - didn't get the right fixings ordered. This was our family's Christmas diner and for almost $600 I would have expected better. Arthur's or Ruth Chris would have been a better choice.
We enjoyed our Christmas dinner here a few days early. The setting was beautiful. Our server, Christy, was one that we have had before. Her friendly, attentive service made the whole experience delightful. I brought home enough left overs for two more meals which is nice for seniors on a budget. The food is consistently delicious, whether selecting a special holiday meal ( we have done this in the past) or one of their regular menu items. Customers are always treated like VIPs and we always look forward to returning.
Overall, I think Steve Field's is one of the best steak houses in the Plano area and it keeps you away from Legacy Shops dining which is overly expensive because it's new and location. SF's is still my favorite for food and drinks, although I think it is time to revamp the drink menu :)
