Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge Ratings and Reviews
I ordered the crab and it tasted sour. The salad was even bad, sent it back because it tasted like raw fish. I did not send the other food back because we were there to celebrate my husband's and I did not want to ruin it for him. He ordered steak and he has had much better at less expense places. We will not return.
Our server (I believe her name was Christina) was absolutely amazing. She suggested everything we didn't even know we wanted. She is a gem. We would come back just for her great service. The food was cooked perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine recommendations. Thank you for a great night
We had been to Steve Fields on Thanksgiving 2 years ago and enjoyed both the food, service, and ambiance.
We had the choice of the traditional holiday menu or dining from their extensive continental menu of steaks, lobster, seafood etc. Although the thought to try a great steak did cross my mind the prices for those items was " Off The Charts!"
I have a hard time justifying $60.00 for a ribeye steak. I have no idea what the Market Price Lobster was going for.
They did have a dish similar to Lobster Thermidor which I love and hard to find for $35.00 for a Half!!
My wife had a couple vodka martinis @ $10.00 apiece which I feel is rediculas and an overpriced Lobster and Crab appetizer with about 4 teaspoons full for $14.00. I could not taste either the Lobster or the Crab. I have to say the Turkey and fixings we're very good for $25.00 but the salad was Not Include. The waiter seemed to suggest it was but looking at the bill it was not.
Overall I felt is was a good meal sticking to the basics but way overpriced in general.
Service was great.
The waiter was outstanding as usual, but the Thanksgiving dinner left a lot to be desired. That is clearly not a specialty of the restaurant. The turkey white meat cuts were sliced very think and the dark meat was just piled on the plate. The stuffing was horrible with poor flavor and very greasy. It is a great restaurant and I love going there, but no more for a Thanksgiving dinner.
We were a group of 4 for Thanksgiving. The food, service and ambience were great. We all opted to have the plated traditional turkey meal. And we all chose desert. Needless to say we were all stuffed when we left. Truly a great experience. We've eaten at Steve Fields previously and will definitely be back.
Steve Fields is quickly becoming our special occasion "Go To" spot. We first went there for a "Tailgate Party" fundraiser for a charity that is important to us, and were overwhelmed by the food. Steve is a big supporter of that charity, and we applaud him for that. One hint--you have to have the Carrot Cake, but it is big enough for 2 or 3 (or you can take half of it home and enjoy it later)!
Hard to effectively review a restaurant on "crazy" dining days, such as Thanksgiving. However, we did enjoy our luncheon on Thanksgiving day although the pace of the meal seemed quite rushed. Our server was OK, but far from the service we are used to when dining at Steve Fields. We look forward to returning for a quiet, relaxing evening of good food, wine and better service.
Venerable Steve Fields still maintains a good neighborhood feel, while providing a little bit of city feel in Plano. Lounge is still very active from beginning of dinner service to late night, with a live piano/lounge singer that provides fun, adult entertainment. Main dining room shares in some of the live lounge music, depending on location.
As expected after many years dining here, the service was prompt and friendly - based on our desire. crab cake appetizer was spot-on - especially with a chardonnay and martini starter from the bar. soup (crab corn chowder) and spinach salad also hit the mark. peppercorn filet and aussie lobster tail were properly executed and sided with wonderful sauteed broccoli (thanks for that off-menu request); Jeff provided a good option for a bottle of pinot for the disparate mains. caramel chocolate cake puts the butter in butter-cream, and allows seconds on another day.
thanks lyft for the ride over and home. thanks Steve, Jeff and Jason for another great meal and time
From the moment I entered the restaurant to then last bite of my delicious Bone-in Prime Steak, everything about this restaurant was simply amazing! My waiter was on fire with awesome service, the manager came over to ensure my experience was pleasant, and l just loved being able to have a quite dinner to myself without interruption or chaos. Even though I was dining alone, the ambiance and staff made me feel warm and comfortable.
I also had the spinach salad...delicious...and a smooth glass of Merlot to compliment the meal. Let me just say 'thank you' to the chef as well for my perfectly cooked steak...l look forward to my next visit!
The meal was quite good overall. We started with a crab cake and shrimp cocktail and both were tasty. I enjoyed a beefsteak tomato salad for my second course. The server failed to get me silverware before the salad was served, and she failed to see she hadn't set me any silver. I took advantage of a "6&6", six ounce filet and six ounce Australian lobster tail. The flavor of both was good, but not great. My wife enjoyed her salmon that was on the menu. This restaurant is a classic steakhouse, but not as polished as some higher end houses.
