About Steve and Rocky's
Steve & Rocky's purchases live oysters, lobsters, mussels, day boat caught fin fish, (un-soaked) sea scallops, fresh aged meats, extremely fresh produce, real heavy cream, pure unsalted butter, imported cheeses, and extra virgin olive oil. All of these fresh ingredients are rigorously specified based on our extremely high and exacting standards, painstakingly shopped based upon seasonality, and carefully inspected upon receipt. At Steve & Rocky's, critical ingredients are delivered daily to insure freshness. Their purveyors know that they will not accept anything but the absolute best quality ingredients and after years of working with them and competing to earn their business, they only send their very best. In the summer months, Chef Steve grows organic produce for the restaurant on his personal micro-farm.
Though many say Steve & Rocky's specializes in Seafood, Chefs Steve Allen and Chuck Rachwitz feel that the menu is diverse with something for every one's taste.

Steve and Rocky's Ratings and Reviews
My steak was very undercooked and unseasoned... Sent back, next steak prepared exactly the same, raw and unseasoned. Third time... The meat was cut into pieces and overcooked... Dry and chewy. No discount offered and I didn't eat any of the steak... The server was excellent, but the food was garbage and I paid well over a hundred dollars... Worst experience I've ever had
Steve & Rocky's continues to deliver excellent food with super service. Their recent increase in prices was a bit of a shock (some went up 25%), but it is mildly acceptable. We had their duck and range-chicken and both were done perfectly. The ganache dessert, despite the price increase, was excellent - don't forget to order it when you order your entrees.
The restaurant was virtually empty on a Sunday evening and yet it took forever to get our food. Then when we got it our orders were wrong and steaks horrible. Their kids menu was not a kids menu. It had adult food on it and yet they told me on the phone they had kids food. I had to buy a fillet for my kids to eat. We will not be going back.
Steve & Rocky's is a good stand-by restaurant. Service and food are usually quite consistent. Many of the servers have been with the establishment for several years--which is a good indication that they are treated decently and enjoy the working environment.
I did not have a good experience . I ordered Salmon and I ask for steam spinach and the spinach came out covered in lots of oil. The Waitress was not a people friendly person. To start off with a not so friendly waitress and then get your dinner such that I couldn't eat it. The night was ruined. The manager came over and offered dessert. I didn't want dessert. I just wanted to have a great Anniversary dinner with my husband . This was our 22nd Anniversary night out. So no more dinner's here.
we have been to Steve and Rocky's many times over the years. Tonight our food was below average. My wife had the tapas baked clams. They were so tiny and hard....way overbaked. I had salmon on my salad as an entree. The salmon was very small, thin and again way overcooked.....I asked for my salmon to be 'rare'.
Very disappointed. Not sure we will try it again for dinner. Might consider lunch.....
Went to Steve and Rocky's last night with my girlfriend, wish we would have come here sooner. Upon entering the decor stood out right away. They have very unique and interesting artwork. Steve was actually standing outside of the kitchen and came over to us to say hello and ask if we had been there before and he was really nice. Our server, Cindy, was excellent. The food was superb. The lake perch for my babe was extremely flavorful and the hazelnuts added an amazing flavor. I got the lamb shank, which fell off the bone and the combination of fall veggies with it was incredible. It came with pesto risotto cakes, they were absolutely delicious. I don't understand the bad reviews on here, the people that recommended Bonefish over this place are probably some picky people who prefer bland food and think Red Lobster and Olive Garden are their ideal restaurants. This restaurant might not be for people who want to just eat the same things you can get anywhere else. We will be going back many times to try all of the different menu options. Also, the daily specials sound very creative. They have something new each day. Highly recommended.
Anniversary dinner with my wife. Ordered mushroom soup (outstanding) crab cake (good) and a tapas plate with stuffed mushroom caps, chicken cordon bleu bites and roast beef roll with horseradish creme (excellent). For our main courses, my wife ordered the scallops which were good, but not seared on both sides. I ordered the braised short rib which wasn't cooked consistently through, one side tougher than the other. Service was quick and attentive, with any staff that stopped by wishing us a happy Anniversary. Ambience was nice, but nothing that stood out, except for the fruit flies that would occasionally visit our table.
Our server, Cynthia, was wonderful. She was very professional, friendly and attentive throughout the dining experience. She made the business lunch very pleasant. Cynthia was a very positive reflection of the restaurant, and would return and specifically ask to be seated at one of her tables in the future.
Food was excellent as usual but the menu for this coupon should have a chicken dish on it not just mostly seafood or ribs or steak. I love chicken and don't care for any seafood except fish and chips of which they didn't provide either. I hope in the future when they offer a coupon that they have a chicken choice.
