About Steve and Rocky's
Steve & Rocky's purchases live oysters, lobsters, mussels, day boat caught fin fish, (un-soaked) sea scallops, fresh aged meats, extremely fresh produce, real heavy cream, pure unsalted butter, imported cheeses, and extra virgin olive oil. All of these fresh ingredients are rigorously specified based on our extremely high and exacting standards, painstakingly shopped based upon seasonality, and carefully inspected upon receipt. At Steve & Rocky's, critical ingredients are delivered daily to insure freshness. Their purveyors know that they will not accept anything but the absolute best quality ingredients and after years of working with them and competing to earn their business, they only send their very best. In the summer months, Chef Steve grows organic produce for the restaurant on his personal micro-farm.
Though many say Steve & Rocky's specializes in Seafood, Chefs Steve Allen and Chuck Rachwitz feel that the menu is diverse with something for every one's taste.

Steve and Rocky's Ratings and Reviews
A bit disappointed as we ordered our wine first, 2 apps, main course. When server brought out apps she informed us they were out of our main course, crab with fettucine. Gave us menu back to order something else, could not find a good pairing to go with our apps and wine so we settled with the spinach salad which was the best part of the meal. Hope to return again with better luck!!!
Have enjoyed this restaurant several times in the last year, introduced friends to it, they enjoyed very much. Our server, was very knowledgable of the food and desserts, and could suggest drinks. Food delivery ie dinner was a bit slow, must have had a bit of unexpected rush.
Had to send date's glass of water back twice. First time glass was dirty w lipstick. Second time it had poppy seeds in it. She was then worried that we had complained too much in attempting to get a clean glass of water. Other than that food and service was good.
This is our first visit to this restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience. The dinner menu has a wide variety of choices and the quality of every dish we ordered was outstanding. We had the lamb, short ribs, gnocchi with mussels and I had the walleye. We sampled each other’s dishes and they were great tasting and prepared to perfection. We will be back again for sure.
My wife and I have dined here for both Lunch and dinner on a number of occasions. and the food is always delicious. To take nothing away from the ambiance of the restaurant or the creative and delicious meals served here, this time the outstanding feature was the service. Our server Anthony was to say the least, informative , attentive and provide recommendations that made our dining experience that more more pleasurable. Thank You Anthony!
Holiday was crowded. Host/was not attentive and had to wait for table even though we had reservations and were on time. Seating was awkward and cramped. Waitstaff was not well-trained. Service was slow. Food choices were appetizing, unique and interesting. House salad, oysters appetizers and salmon entree were excellent. Scallop in entree were very good, but the sauce and gnocchi with thick the were combined were very salty. Shared a crime burkas dessert which was average. Evening special wine was a Sauvignon Blanc but a Chardonnay was delivered instead. It was good. Prices were ok. Live music for dining was a real plus and the atmosphere was authentic and clearly not a chain restaurant so it was a nice spot for a special occasion dinner for two. Parking easy, bar service good; cocktails good.
probably our favorite "hometown" restaurant, dependably delicious meals. this time they DID NOT run out of monkfish ("tonight only specials") by seven o'clock-- and was excellent. the menu regular "beef shortrib, with horseradish mashed potatoes" was also a great cold weather meal, tho' someone in the kitchen might have been too timid with the root-- the Smørrebrød appetizer (a Danish canapé/open sandwich) had tasty elements but really should have been parceled out on a number of crostini-- both for the convenience of diners splitting the dish, as well as keeping the shrimp and scallops from overrunning the smoked sturgeon-- sort of a nautical football scrum). again-- be ready to put in that drink order the minute anyone asks-- servers are working hard, but you may not see them again for a quarter-hour. house wine selection(s) always reasonable, palatable. nice pianist playing the past two Fridays. take advantage of the "dining club" program-- modest yearly fee more than returned several fold.
Always enjoy this restaurant; however, this time the service was less than stellar. It was my daughter's birthday and we asked for a 'cake' but were told it wasn't available unless you were a 'member' of their dining club. Our server was not available to us and seemed mostly disinterested. The coffee has seemed to change, too. Formerly it was really outstanding - deeply flavorful, fresh, etc. On this occasion it was not. We knew they were busy but the service could have been better regardless.
A restaurant that takes good care with its offerings. The seafood selections are not wide, but very exceptional-- the salmon, as well as the perch, were the best that I have had in the past several years. The Beef Wellington is only occasionally on the menu, but excellent. Wines are priced reasonably. Servers are amiable/helpful, but sometimes overtaxed at the height of the evening (get a cocktail order in at the first available moment). A minor irritation is the limited availability of some of their "special for tonight" menu additions (monkfish soldout by 7pm, etc.). Some profit in joining their Email list, including seasonal and birthday "BOGO". This past Friday live piano during dinner. Strongly recommend reservations, especially for weekends. An informal but mature atmosphere. Our steady and reliable Novi "go-to".
The menu is nice and provided a good variety to choose from. The open table request for a more quite table worked as the restaurant accommodated us by providing a corner table which was great to hold down the noise level for our business dinner. The mushroom soup was great. My seafood fettucini was a bit bland, but my colleagues really enjoyed their salmon dinners. Our waitress did not offer chees for our pasta and we were nearly done eating when she did finally bring to the table. Otherwise a good experience.
Our outstanding server, Cindy enhanced the birthday luncheon that I hosted honoring a friend. Our meals of crab/shrimp cakes & the Wedge salad were just right as was the strudel/ice cream dessert complete with candle. We love Steve & Rocky's for many years!
> Food was very good but too expensive for what you get.
> Ambiance was too loud, but at least the live piano playing was a very nice touch (when you could hear it!).
> Service was very, very slow. It took over half an hour to get our soups and eventually our salads, and then almost 20 minutes more for the main course. Frustrating!
I was a little surprised at the poor service as I've not had these problems during past visits. After taking our order the waitress indicated bread would be brought to our table. It never came and only after we asked for bread when the appetizers arrived was it provided. Additionally, the appetizers took quite a while to get to our table and when they came the soup I ordered was cold. No one bothered to check that the soup must have been sitting out somewhere for a long period before it was served. That should not happen at a restaurant of this quality.
Great experience until the long wait for our entrees to come.
After waiting what seemed a very unacceptable time for them the steaks that were ordered were overcooked and just warm.
We were offered free desserts that placated the disappointment some.
Many trips to this location and by far the worst experience.
Our dinner was our traditional New Year’s Eve dinner at this restaurant. It was quite crowded but with our Open Table reservation we sat down within 5 minutes of our reservation time. The crowd at this restaurant is typically middle aged and up. The food was very good even though my Lamb Shank was a little more done than I like. The wait staff was absolutely fantastic and all of them wished us a Happy New Year. Our waitress was excellent and provided us excellent service. Overall it was an outstanding start to a great evening
Sadly this was our least favorable trip to Steve & Rocky's. Seating was well beyond the 7 pm reservation and the table was too close to the doorway with it's cold blasts every time somebody went in or out, too close to patrons and staff traffic and too close to the piano.
The acorn squash soup and wine were excellent. I don't know about my wife's dinner but my fillet was well beyond the medium that I ordered. Overcooked steak losses a lot. But we did enjoy each others company and won't hold the table or food preparation against them for long.
They basically are a fine restaurant but New Year's Eve seemed to overwhelm them.
