Steve and Rocky's
Though many say Steve & Rocky's specializes in Seafood, Chefs Steve Allen and Chuck Rachwitz feel that the menu is diverse with something for every one's taste.
Her steak was very overcooked requiring a do-over.
When it came mine was cold.
Poor attention and slow service.
This is one of our favorite places for a special occasion. The food is always great and the service is equally as strong. We are always pleased. We usually order seafood, but this time we each had meat dishes, one filet and one for b-b-q ribs. We were both very pleased.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Steve and Rocky's. I had the Perch and it was wonderful. The service was very good also.
The food was excellent service was good we gladly go back there again.
Nice venue but out of my original selection on a Friday night. Ordered the perch as a replacement. Another of our party also ordered the perch and we both commented on the small serving size . The quality was good though. Our party of six all liked the quality of the meal and all would go back.
Seated within 10 min
Coupon used/good value
Hard to find bottles of wine under $30
Would go again.
We waited about 5 minutes after the time of our reservation. The food was delicious and the wait staff very attentive.
For some reason, the kitchen was very backed up and at 7 pm they were already out of their special. So it turned into a 2 hour plus dinner. We waited almost an hour for our salad. The food was good when we got it, but they made no attempt to smooth over the wait. Plus one of the water glasses had lipstick on the rim, and when we requested a new glass, they asked what was wong with it and why did they need to bring a new one.
As usual, food was very good & service was excellent.
Enjoyed our meal. Had the walleye and it was cooked perfectly with a nice sauce. I had 1/2 dozen raw oysters and they were some of the best oysters I’ve had since I moved back to Michigan from Virginia Beach. Overall a very good experience.
Terrible experience and will not go back.
- We originally were supposed to go to Bonefish - but they had a 2 hour wait. It should have told us something that Steve and Rocky’s was 1/2 empty at 7p on a Friday
- It took 25 minutes to get our first drink (we were told the bar was slammed - but the restaurant was only 1/2 full)
- The menu - at a seafood restaurant - had no appetizer or entree with shrimp?!?
- The food took 90 minutes to be delivered and second drinks another 20 minute wait
- Salmon on the spinach salad was so salty it was inedible
- When I complained to the manager - he could not have been less interested. I sent the food back (and requested no replacement - at that point we had been at the restaurant for 90 minutes and I surely did not want to wait another 90)
- While he took the salad off the bill (as he should - I didn’t eat it and no replacement), he made no effort to make amends (free soup? Free dessert?) and never came back to the table to check on us
And again - all this when the restaurant was 1/2 empty
This is not an inexpensive place - NOT worth the expense or the frustration
We're so sorry to hear you left us frustrated as this is never our intention at Steve and Rocky's. We know we can do better than this and intend to next time around. Thank you for your review and we hope you'll be back so that we can impress you.
Food was outstanding, Service was Exceptional. Will return.
The food and service at Steve & Rocky's are consistently great.
Altho I have been a dinner patron of S&Rs for many, many years, this was the first time I had lunch there. It was excellent. My dining friend had the walleye on my recommendation and I had the salmon with Brussel sprouts and pomegranate. Both of us joined the clean p-late club. On top of it, we had a BOGO. So a delightful afternoon all around. I'll be back for lunch again soon.
We had the lunch portions of salmon and trout - everything was delicious. I love the tasting of three soups but just didn't have room today. Our server was responsive and very nice, but didn't offer her name.
The food was delicious. The waiter may have been new. He made a few errors but he was very pleasant and corrected them right away.
I ordered the Barbeque Ribs. They were awful! There was little to no meat, and lots and lots of bones. I was unable to eat it.
Good service great food. Avg value
Consistently good food. Reasonable prices - we used a BOGO. The ganache dessert is not to be missed.
Food and servers are always outstanding. The perch and smoked chicken dishes are our favorites. The host station people are a different story. They are indifferent, make you wait til they are ready, and generally rude. I have been coming to Steve and Rocky's for many years, and this has been a consistent theme over the years. They are the first line for greeting people, and if I didn't know how great the food was, I would not stay.
Service was on the slow side. Asked for extra bread with the salad. The bread arrived after the main course.
Our first time there. Enjoyed ourselves. Service was excellent.
our waitress was great, just enough attention. My short ribs were melt in your mouth, to DIE for. As was my soup. Bread came out right on time, REALLY hot and fresh. the house cabernet was GREAT. It's always excellent here... Expensive, but worth it.
Great dinner. We had the halibut special and the lobster/shrimp fettuccine, and both were outstanding, as was the service.
Absolutely delicious meal (recommend the beet salad and roasted salmon w/brussel sprouts.). Unfortunately, my husband's first drink was terrible (we aren't complainers, but firmly believe they forgot the shot of bourbon.) When he then ordered a beer, they not only brought him the wrong one, but the server argued that she saw it being poured (if you drink M53 you know what it looks and tasted like. Fortunately, a manger visited us, and brought a shot of bourbon. He agreed that the beer was wrong and said he'd take it off the bill, which he did not. But we made the best of it. Salmon was delicious. Perch was good but prepared very rich.
Definitely will go back again
Good food, good service. Dishes were on the saltier side but still tasty. Would recommend
My meal was FANTASTIC! I had the 9oz. Filet mignon with green beans and potatoes. Filet was prepared phenomenally. Ambiance was fine, just a bit loud, but nothing you couldn't live with. Loved the dinner bread! The only detractor I can think of was that I requested to sit in the warmer section of the establishment, in the notes on open table, because my wife is a bit cold natured, and we sat in the front near the door. So the misses felt a draft when the door opened. She didn't complain much though. Will return for more steak!
Seated too closely to the entrance of the restrooms, but the food was delicious as always, and our server was very pleasant.
As always the food, service, and ambiance was impeccable. It was the first time for my date at Steve and Rocky's and she loved it! They did a great job, especially considering it was Valentine's Day.
Great food, great service, great time! Always a pleasure to to visit and eat there.
Appreciated two for one coupon .. perch always delicious 😋
It was our first time eating at Steve and Rockies, and so did not know what to expect. It was not busy when we first came, which made us a little nervous. However, they wowed us. The food was not good, it was exceptional. On the same level as anything we'd eaten in high end famous restaurants in Vegas for hundreds of dollars more.
The staff was friendly, fast and perfect.
There was nothing to complain about.. the prices are low for what you get as well.
Its an hour drive, and we will be back.
Food was excellent. Waitress seemed a little disinterested and would have expected more but she was not terrible.
This restaurant compares to the few 5 stars that we have been to in Chicago. Food was great service and bar selection was very good. I got the Pan Seared Halibut and it was prepared perfectly. They definitely know how to cook fish. My sister had the Salmon and the combination of flavors were like no other. We will return here in the near future.
As always, our meals were very delicious with attentive service by Danielle.
The food was first class. Perch were super, as always. I had the walleye in a citrus sauce that melted in my mouth. Perfect service from Rodney. The anniversary discount helped the pocketbook. Not to be missed is the ganache dessert. Be sure you order it at the same time as your entrees.
Excellent evening and service was fantastic also!
Nice dinner however we had a table adjacent to the bar. Very noisy for the first hour.
