Stella's Bistro - Simpsonville Ratings and Reviews
I have been several times to this restaurant and they never fail to amaze me! The food is superb with fresh ingredients and tastes awesome! Highly recommend this location for a special event or just to go grab a good drink. Exceptional service and that Miss fear!
We dined here for Valentine's Day and it was so festive with the heart balloons and fresh flowers. Our table was ready on time and we were seated right away. Our server, Sammy, was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. The wine pairings were excellent, too! We very much enjoyed the duo of beef; it was rich, tender, and so full of flavor! The celery root puree was excellent with the grilled vegetable! Our dessert was the German cake with brandied cherries - yum! It was a very fun experience - delicious food, great service, and wonderful wine! Thanks!
This was our first visit to Stella's Bistro and certainly won't be our last. The service was wonderful ( Becky did a great job taking care of us). The food was varied and the combinations were unique and quite good. They had a very good wine & drink list and the prices were reasonable for the quality. It was also very nice that they let us stay for 5 hours for us to catch up with friends we don't often get to spend time with in a non-business environment. We are looking forward to returning.
Very unique menu items, and preparation of side dishes, utilizing vegetables rarely found as side dishes. (Beets, turnip, rutabaga, parsnips, etc.) Very delicious and beautifully done.
Excellent preparation and presentation. I'm getting hungry just thinking of Stella's.
This was our first visit to Stella's but definitely will not be our last. The food and service were excellent. We appreciated the choices on the regular menu and the specials of the evening. I do not generally like grits, but their Adluh grits were the best I have ever tasted. Perfect choice for a night with friends.
Took my friend from out of town for the three courses for $35. She chose the pork tenderloin entree and I got the catfish. Hers was good. Mine was not so good. It was a small portion and was bland even with the citrus wine sauce it was cooked with. The soup was a butternut squash and it was good. The dessert was a banana panna cotta and wasn’t even sweet. Very tasteless with banana pieces that were not ripe. Our server seemed to be too busy to come check and see how our food was until we were almost finished. No variety to chose from with the $35 deal. Should have ordered from the regular menu and probably would have gotten a more flavorful entree and dessert.
We love the local cuisine and how the community has an opportunity to not only have their products and food used but also mentioned on the giant chalkboard in the restaurant. The noise level is difficult to have conversations at your own table, but you make do. The food presentation was amazing as well as the taste. It seemed we had new or training staff as our servers, but typically the service is amazing.
The staff is very personable, as they welcome you upon arrival and when leaving, always thank you and validate that all was satisfactory. But, additionally the food is amazing and unique. I am so thankful to have such an outstanding restaurant so nearby. It is my favorite place to eat, as I know the menu is varied and delectable!
Enjoyed a delicious meal with exceptional service on our wedding anniversary. Creative cuisine. Outstanding preparation of a ribeye which was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were extraordinary.
We will frequent Stella's Bistro often.
Thank you to their entire staff for making our evening very special.
My family and husband ‘s company have been coming to Stella’s for years. We have come for Christmas Eve dinner as a tradition for numerous years. This year we came with 14 of our closet friends for New Year’s Eve dinner. Levi and Roger took exceptional care of us!!! We have gotten to know the staff quite well over the years and actually call dear friends now. Thank you guys so much for all you do to make our visit to your establishment so much fun.

We were very disappointed with our dining experience. The noise level was SO HIGH that we could not hear the others talk from across the table. It was very difficult to hear the server tell us about the special features on the menu as well. The special wine was awful, very unlike Stella's. The fish selection was very disappointing as Stella's prides themselves on having a great fresh fish selection shipped in from Charleston daily. NC Black Bass does not compare to Wreck Fish or the many other specials we have had before. One in our party did order the Black Bass and it was average. The Short Ribs and Pork Chop were very good. Due to the lack of adequate seafood selections, two in our party ordered a soup and salad. That was not what they expected to order when we made Stella's our choice for the evening. They could have had that at Olympian or Bova. That was not at all what they were expecting for a special Christmas celebration! The atmosphere and noise level was more like a happy hour experience at TGI Fridays.
We ate at Stella’s—Simpsonville as a preshow dinner with family friends. Our show started at 8pm at the Newberry Opera House and Stella’s location fit our schedule and route perfectly. Stella’s staff accommodated our party of nine and treated us all with service that was both efficient and friendly. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The menu allowed for those with both simple and daring tastes preferences. Thank you!
